Food in this place was terrific. Unfortunately we were the only people in there that evening but the chef told us that they were full the next two evenings! The presentation of the dishes was really good. Really worth trying if you are on your way through to somewhere else. I'd book in advance.

We turned up without any notice and Peter welcomed us in to stay the night after an unpleasant experience at a hostel. Staff were all friendly and Peter went out his way to cook us dinner the same evening, it’s the little things that go along way. Definitely coming back next year for our yearly Wales trip.

I arrived after a rainy day on the bicycle and was greeted with warm hospitality. Peter and the staff went out of their way to make sure I had a comfortable stay. The room I stayed in was charming and the bathroom was very clean.
The food was delicious too. I'd come back any time!

Went here for Sunday dinner with friends. Wonderful place recommend booking for Sunday dinner. Lovely atmosphere, good food good service reasonably priced. Would definitely visit again when in the area again

This place is quite a surprise! Looks small and cosy at the front, but outside at the back there is a terrace on the river, see photo. Wholesome Welsh food, famous for Leek and Potato soup, really good!!

We've loved this place! The whole atmosphere was fantastic, the waitress was very nice. We were told in advance we had to wait 25 minutes for food and got some chips with the drinks. Then we got the starters even a bit faster. The food was delicious! This restaurant is a gem!

Thoroughly enjoyed my first meal at the Drovers Restaurant Wednesday lunchtime, the homemade vegetable lasagne was superb, creamy and delicious, dessert was more than excellent with hot creamy custard. A BIG thank you to Peter and staff for amazing food and their hospitality. Definitely will return. Very highly recommend.

This is my second stay at the Drovers Rest and I wasn't disappointed.
My husband and I were welcomed with a pot of tea and a lovely piece of homemade cake, by Peter, the proprietor.
We had booked in for three nights and ate in the restaurant on two of those nights. The food was exceptional. Beautifully presented and so delicious 😋.
The cooked breakfast was good too, with food locally sourced.

We had an amazing meal at the Drovers Rest on Saturday evening. The food was Michelin star standard and excellent value. Definitely recommend booking in advance, as limited seating at present times. Good service and the atmosphere very friendly.
We stayed at the Riverbank bed and breakfast, which I would also recommend to complete a wonderful stay.
