Busy little place. No table available when I got there but within minutes, had a table sorted for me. The breaded haddock was just sublime - best I have had in a long time!!

One of the best calzones I've ever had. They seated us on short notice, even with dogs. Fast service, nice staff, good food, well priced.

Good quality food in simple, happy environment. We ordered the fish and chips (great) but we're eyeing up the pizzas as they came out too.

Don't wait to jump into a typical italian restaurant! Try their wonderful Pizza and AMAZING LASAGNA hot served and PROPERLY DONE by traditional ITALIAN RECIPE!! 🇮🇹 WONDERFUL is a diminutive facing their quality and impeccable italian food quality! 💙 Take a seat and try whatever italian they serve.. it's truly amazing! Also fresh original GELATO (not chemical uk icecream) and more delicious 😋 sweetness as cakes and desserts 🍰! Is also served local uk food as fish&chips , sausages and more.. but honestly i haven't tried.. are uncomparable with amazing TRUE ITALIAN FOOD served here! Best restaurant in town BY FAR! (told from an Italian traveller guy!) So.. step in.. and take a sit in paradise!

After a long day at work, I decided to check out Argyll Cafe for the first time, curious about their Lochgilphead offerings. With a name like Argyll Cafe, I expected something special, and they certainly didn't disappoint. I went for a pizza, on their recommendation, paired with a homemade coffee, which they claimed was the best. And guess what? They weren't joking. The pizza was superb. It had a perfectly firm yet not overly crunchy crust, and the cheese melted to perfection, stretching delightfully with each bite. The sauce was bursting with flavour, and despite the topping being juicy, it didn't compromise the crust's texture. Besides the outstanding taste, what impressed me was the value for money. The pizza, bursting with quality and flavour, was a steal at only 10 Pounds. The accompanying latte was creamy, milky, and packed with a great taste. The service was nothing short of stellar too. The waitress was friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about providing an excellent customer experience. She managed to serve without spilling a drop of coffee, contributing to a positive and upbeat atmosphere for all customers. Definitely a five-star experience. This pizza has quickly become one of my favourites, solidifying Argyll Cafe's status as a Lochgilphead must-visit. I urge everyone to drop by this local gem for an affordable yet delicious dining experience; trust me, you won't be disappointed. As a local guide, I'm willing to stake my reputation on it!
