Had the avocado toast and was pleasantly surprised when it arrived with a roasted plum tomato too! The filter coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice was also delicious. They get super busy so be sure to get there early unless you don’t mind waiting a bit. But their service made up for it. Wonderful.

Coffee shop: By far, one of the best restaurants / coffee shops I’ve ever been in London. I’ve been greeted my different members of the staff and all very nice and friendly. As per the food, I tried all the desserts and few sandwiches... and all very delicious! I’m glad I live a few minutes from there. Restaurant: Out of 10: Service: 9 Atmosphere: 10 Architecture/Design: 10 Quality: 7.5 Decent price: 6 Quality/Price balance: 5 Additional comments: Service and atmosphere was good! Although the price was too expensive for what I got. Personally, I don't like gourmet dishes (expensive and small portions). The gnocchi was good, but the lamb was not at its point, too raw for my taste and too much fat on it.

Great place for having a breakfast and watching the people struggling outside with their umbrella! The food is very delicious and the coffee is definitely good. I had the egg shakshuka which was really tasty and in combination with the feta a dream. My girlfriend had the buttermilk pancakes which were good, but almost too nuch for one person.

Sophisticated and industrial styled restaurant. Very clean, bright, and welcoming. Service was good, just a little slow despite very few dining. Tea must have been brewed for a while behind the scenes as it wasn't that hot when it came out. Chilled out music. The full English was good, but was more a chef's take on the traditional. I recommend having scrambled eggs!

This is my go to place in London- it’s like a home :) If you are visiting first time, try their five course secret menu. Their cocktail is really good. I always tell them what alcohol I prefer and they make the things which are not the menu!! Very friendly staff, it’s a perfect place for going out with group of friends or even perfect place for a first date (make sure to get a seat near the glass window to get a nice view)

Love this beautiful cafe just a few steps away from Aldgate East underground station. Cozy cafe serving delicious pastries and coffee/tea with friendly service. Love the décor here, Scandinavian chic style. There's a proper restaurant upstairs floor breakfast as well. Definitely worth visiting if you're in the area!

Excellent food with great attention to the presentation. I was on a business launch with colleagues and chose a 3-course deal and left very satisfied with the food as well as the service. One constructive criticism though, the interiors are nice but the atmosphere doesn't do justice to the absolute amazing food.

Couldn't recommend highly enough! Friendly service, relaxed atmosphere, great drinks (with a 2-for-1 offer on a Saturday night), and food that was the standard I'd seen in places that cost 3x more. Mackerel and seabass were skilfully prepared, as were the pork belly and beef bavette. Had to have dessert too because it had to be really good too - and indeed it was!

Just went for an impromptu lunch with my wife. It's their opening week and they have a deal on food and cocktails at the moment. Most seats are next to the windows, staff super friendly. Brisket was pretty good and i'm not sure how they make the bacon pudding that goes with it but i'd be happy with just a plate of that! Barman also knows how to make a proper old fashioned! Will be visiting again though the post opening week prices do look a little steep. You get what you pay for i guess, maybe throw an extra slice of Brisket on there and i'll forgive you :)

We went on the night of the England vs. Croatia semi final so atmosphere maybe unusual with large tables full of women.  Our waiter was very knowledgable about the menu.  No music and good acoustics.<br/><br/>I started with Gravlax which was very nice if rather dainty in terms of portion size.  Thoughtful accents of very finely diced green apple dressed in a lemon gel, dabs of avocado puree and tiny dabs of mayo.  My companion's red pesto arancini didn't look terribly attractive having been somehow blackened.  However, they did taste divine.<br/><br/>I let the waiter talk me into ordering  my bavette steak medium rare instead of my preferred rare, and I kind of regretted that.  It was nonetheless a very good dish with tender steak, some flavourful barley, sauteed haricot vert and raw peashoots for freshness.  My companion's lamb was amazing.  Meat was cooked sous vide and seared on high heat on the griddle.  Astonishingly tender.  Served with flavourful borlotti beans, a sweet poached shallot and a sweet braised carrot.<br/><br/>All of the vegetables were extraordinarily good and tasted of meat stock.  A side of new potatoes was lovely too.  In a sauce made with veal stock, butter and chive and sprinkled with fried bread crumbs for texture.<br/><br/>All the dishes were well designed, but were a little on the salty side.  I don't mind, being Chinese, but if you are sensitive to saltiness you might find everything a bit over seasoned.   The house red was pleasant and an affordable £19.40 per bottle.  They take the tastecard, a commercial restaurant discount card offering 50% of food, on weeknights.
