I found this place online and thought I would give it a go for breakfast . A cute corner store in a great location. Staff were very friendly. Menu was modern not just your traditional greasy breakfast. halloumi and smashed avocado was just lovely. Good servings. Very quick service. Very clean. Very reasonable.
My dish felt like an American-British fusion breakfast.
I ordered crushed avocado, smoked salmon, and poached egg. I was given a generous amount of each. I was given so much salmon that I thought it was a bit overpowering. The bread was on the plainer side but at least it was toasted. The avocado spread was just pure avocado. If you want to add more flavor to the spread, you would have to add the salt and pepper yourself even though this place is literally called salt and pepper. The poached egg was decent. The tomatoes were good; they were not too soggy or too hard.
I'll probably stop by this place for breakfast if I am in the area again.
Wow. It is extremely rare that when I am on vacation that I eat in the same place two days in a row. After all, you are on vacation and you want to try new things! Well, Salt & Pepper broke that rule for me after an amazing breakfast there the first day of my recent London trip. This tiny cafe was right next to my hotel and offers traditional breakfast favorites in addition to pastas, salads, etc. I had the ham and cheese omelette which might possibly be the best omelette I have had... anywhere. My dining partner had the avocado toast with Halumi cheese which she said was amazing and perfect as well. Service is good and quick. I can't wait to come back on my next London trip!
Perfect for breakfast. We were around the corner at Bloomsbury hotel & came to eat here every morning. The menu is very good, and reasonable. Loved the avacado toast & egg dish.
Amazing place! Porridge, croissants and coffee are really good! Location and the interior is really nice
Really excellent fare and very early opening hours. Many vegetarian options and good coffee. Everything we had was delicious, except the muffins. Stay away from the muffins! They are made off site and were cakey, flavorless and tasted of chemicals. The cakes are made in house and were delicious.
We came here for breakfast. Everything we ordered was delicious. The service was very friendly and efficient. Highly recommended.
This place was great! Best breakfast on our trip! The service was great and the food was really good.
Cute little coffee shop
Good service, clean , fresh food
Lots of vegetarian options
Good coffee
They do charge extra for soy milk - bummer
Lovely place for a traditional English breakfast. They also have some good teas too. The restaurant is very tiny so I wouldn't recommend it for large groups.
Food was delicious, environment was cozy and charming! Service was helpful and friendly. A couple of us ordered the English breakfast -- it was their first time trying it so can't compare to others but it was hearty and tasted very good. My brother and I each had open faced poached egg plus avocado sandwiches, his with salmon, mine with bacon. They were excellent!
A nice cafe near the British museum. Is a good place for you to get a breakfast before visiting the museum.
Got a very nice flat white and a full English breakfast here. The coffee is nice. And the breakfast is so nice and delicious! The atmosphere is nice and cozy. A great place enjoy a coffee.
A drink and a breakfast cost you about £17-20.
I had breakfast at this place and everything was good. All our meals were very tasty and well served. The only complain is that I ordered water twice and the waitress never had it delivered to my table 😣 but besides that everything was good. They accept American Express which is great 😊 I recommend the poached eggs with salmon and avocado 🥑
Lovely small cafe run by lovely people. We had eggs royale and avocado on toast for breakfast which were delicious. Will visit again!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Salt and Pepper Cafe in Bloomsbury, London. The cafe is located just a short walk from the British Museum, and it is the perfect place to stop for a quick and delicious breakfast or lunch.
I ordered the omelette with salad and toast, and it was one of the nicest omelettes I have had for a while. The eggs were cooked well, the salad was fresh and crisp, and the toast was nicely toasted and buttered.
The service at Salt and Pepper Cafe was also excellent. The staff was friendly and attentive, and they made sure that my meal was perfect. I would definitely recommend Salt and Pepper Cafe to anyone looking for a delicious and affordable breakfast in Bloomsbury.
Thank you!
Delicious breakfast! Eggs were very fresh. Grab a table and a server will come by to take your order.
We stopped here for lunch after a morning at the British Museum. Our chicken salad sandwich and ham and cheese panini were very good--the bread was fantastic. Like most London restaurants, it was crowded but we were able to snag a table.
Great breakfast! I really loved the Eggs Florentine. The Avo-Go-Go smoothie was tasty too! Can’t wait to get back to London and have another breakfast there.
We had salmon avocado toast with scrambled eggs, and it was delicious! They have very tasty cappuccino. Friendly staff, fast service, clean and delicious food. Highly recommended 👌
Lovely place with good food. We did the breakfast.
A cafe in the neighborhood nearby the British Museum that serves sandwiches, coffee and more. It has approx 10 indoor tables for dine-in seatings and 3 sets of tables for patio seating.
There is always an option for you to order to go if you are in a rush, or ask for a menu and grab a seat if you would like to enjoy ur meal.
Friendly staff providing recommendations on the food selection. Efficient at multitasking as I approached the counter for payment while two other clients before me having an issue confirming their food selection, the staff excused herself from pending their order and proceeded to quickly process my payment to avoid a queue build up.
