What we went for: Dinner date ..to celebrate 11 years since we first met this week that year

Ambience: the decor is classy, fine and minimal.
Many different sections to this place.. the bar, the lounge, the dessert bar, the restaurant, the kitchen ofcourse.
the servers are all friendly, with a smile and very little affectation.

What we ordered: starters-duck and quail liver for myself, sea scallops for the mister,
Lamb loin with hot pot for my entree and the sea turbot for the hubby
Apple Tatin with minus 8 vinegar ice cream for the hubby and the brogsdale pear with goat’s milk ice cream and honey and bee pollen for myself

Cocktails- monkey business for the mister, ten pollen for me

A glass of Sangiovese and a glass of Riesling

And a bottle of still water!

Price : Gbp 230

Verdict: every dish was carefully and beautifully constructed but the highlights were probably the turbot and the brogsdale pear aaand the mushroom tea that appeared as an in between course.. it was simply magical with its aroma and mellow taste! The tea of gods indeed!

The service was faultless, the place got busy and I couldn’t help but notice the steady stream of the restaurant staff who seemed to be going about their work with such efficiency! It was smooth sailing traffic on the busy floor and I guess perhaps only one dropped glass in the 2 hours we were there!

Would I return? Why not ? The restaurant made such a big deal of our anniversary I love it! With Anil

This place missed a fiver by a whisker; though i have never given 5 and this restaurant was close to get one my list, but from heart i still can rate them as one of the best

A restaurant is known by its service decor and above all food and on all three this stands apart as the team was quick to understand your need, service was impeccable, food great, presentation one of the best then what else you can ask for

For me this will be always one to go in every time I am in London.

A Must visit

We were having the chefs menu and till last everyone was over the moon with the food and we ordered desserts, though i had two Japanese and Korean with hard core Indian who loves his whisky; since the ice cream was accompanied by whisky sauce anticipation were high but when it was poured over the ice cream we all looked at each other and asked isn't whisky two empowering and we all said yes in unanimous ........chef this was only thing which was out of place but full respect to chef maybe our taste buds were not up to the mark.....anyway Indian can never say to no to Whisky.

A truly value for money 3 course set lunch at £37 and so many more courses than 3! Half a bottle of wine with the lunch brings it up to £55.

Every course was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked. We tried the ox cheek and the partridge as main courses and both were excellent.

The desserts are mouth-watering including the extra petit fours that were served.

Service was attentive, friendly and warm. Highly recommended! One of the best restaurants in London.

Great dining experience. I ate here a few weeks ago so I've forgotten the exact name of the dish.

We came in for lunch. I opted for the lunch menu which I recommend because you get 3 courses and lots of extra complementary dishes. It was so worth it for a michelin restaurant.

My brother on the other hand opted for their ala carte menu. All of our meals are great!! I especially liked my brother's lobster appetizer and my crab appetizer.

The waiters seem to know all the dishes very well.

Jason Atherton has done very well for himself. The last time I ate his food was way back at the original Maze, when he was still working for Ramsay and when the restaurant had a Michelin star. I still remember two things with that meal – the excellent ‘BLT’ dish that he got to the banquet of Great British Menu Season 2 and a horrible, overly acidic beetroot dish which still gives me beetroot nightmares. Since parting ways, Atherton has expanded his empire at a rapid rate, with his Social branded restaurants mushrooming up all over the globe almost as quick as Ramsay’s restaurant brand. He even has had time to launch his own brand of tableware with John Lewis! Somewhere along the way, he has also picked up his mentor’s knack of collecting Michelin stars. In total, Atherton now owns three restaurants with a solitary star each although a second star is proving elusive.

Head chef Jason Atherton is pulling out all the stops at Michelin Star restaurant, Pollen Street Social. It’s hip and trendy in the heart of London, tucked away just off Regent Street. It has a lovely ambience, with quite a buzz around the bar. The cocktails topped with roses were rather lovely

The other day I was shocked as a good friend started cooking bolognese, then got out some frozen diced onions. I had no idea such a thing existed, and even more so that someone would use it. I expressed my shock and was quickly told (more like asked) to re-evaluate my position. Shortly after, I did. As a mother of two children aged 4 and 1, time was important as well as cooking a good meal for her children. What was so bad about having onions which had been preserved by freezing and saved someone time and energy? After an hour with the food eaten, I was a happy foodie. The onions had been cooked perfectly, and if I had not seen them in their packaging I would have had no idea they were frozen. So now I am a convert. I haven't bought any yet, but they're available in all supermarkets, not just the one you would expect

In my experience vegetarian options (even at high end restaurants) are often bland and boring. However this was not the case at Pollen street social. I ordered from the 3 course vegetarian menu and my food was delicious, full of flavour and beautifully presented. I will definitely return as I would like to try the vegetarian tasting menu next.

I like the fact that the food wasn't overly seasoned. The lamb was tender and tasty. Everything beautifully presented. Service was good, professional but friendly. Wine was a bit pricy. Lunch menu was excellent value. Will definitely return.

Phenomenal experience from start to finish. I lunched with a friend on a Saturday and we enjoyed the extended lunch menu along with some great champagne recommendations from Spike. Food, drink, service, ambience… this place has it all!

It’s a Michelin restaurant , and it did not disappoint . The sommelier Johnason so deserving his gold grape pin on his lapel, I gave him a price range and our food choices for recommendation of a white wine , without hesitation he came up with 4 different grape types from different continents, and gave each wine a brief and precise descriptions of their characteristics , we are very pleased with the Pinot blanc from Alsace . But don’t go look for Johnason on your next visit , you can find him at London Four seasons. The highlight of the amazing set lunch is the desert , it’s so heavenly ,I thought I’m in heaven , I had to thank the patissier in person , shame I did not get the name of the desert , dear PSS Admin , if you’re reading this , can you pls give me the name of the desert. Thank you in advance .

We were warmly received and sat at the Chefs table where we had the pleasure of interacting with Chef Dale and his staff. The parade of sumptuous dishes continued until we could not possibly eat another bite! Outstanding in every respect, thank you!

This is our 5th time visiting Pollen Street Social, it never fails to deliver, starting with cocktails made by the very fabulous Spike , he has such knowledge and passion about cocktail making its contagious. Our food was sublime and service impeccable, we asked for recommendations on the wine to go with each dish, each was on point! Even finding a red to go with my bream. Highly recommend and will be going again.

I visited as a solo diner on a busy Saturday afternoon for the three-course lunch (note: if you want amuse bouche and petit fours, you'll need to opt for the extended lunch menu, otherwise bread is the only extra). I paid the supplement fee for the shellfish raviolo, which is absolutely worth doing. The bisque was intensely flavoured, while the mushrooms, lobster, parmesan foam, and caviar provided extra texture and dimensions. One small critique: it was a little overseasoned (lots of salty elements on one plate), but otherwise, this was brilliant. The lamb for the main was beautifully tender, the sauce rich, the basil puree fragrant and complimenting the protein nicely. The pomme puree was also silky, smooth, and had just the right amount to go with the meat on the plate. The dessert was not as good as the savoury courses but still very nice: a pink peppercorn Panna cotta, with perfect texture and strawberries. The pink peppercorn was an interesting touch and it really came through with each mouthful, just the right amount. The strawberries themselves were so-so and were a bit of a bland addition to an otherwise very enjoyable dessert. £49.50 for three courses is very reasonable (pre-supplement) for the level of cooking here. Service was friendly and professional, while the setting is smart but casual. Based on the quality of the starter and main, I wouldn't be surprised if they get a second star before long.
