My uni was right next to this quirky pub so I frequented the joint often. The staff are amazing, great fun. Quiz nights, cannot be beaten (I still have my Nicki Graham autobiography that I begged to have even though I lost). The decor is kooky, think action figures glued to the ceilings and cartoons plastered to the walls. A wide drink selection, great prices (and deals during the week) and of course, the food. Pretty damn epic actually. They were proudly serving a horse burger for a while but sadly, I think that ship has sailed.
Honestly, the best pub in the area, super busy at the end of the day but thats for a reason.
Cannot recommend highly enough
If you love burgers, you definitely have to try Lord Nelson's Juicy Lucy! Beautifully cooked meat with a very generous cheese filling, what else could we ask for after a long morning walk? The fries were a bit of a disappointment but the burger sure makes up for it!

From the quirky decor (in a red and blue theme with fantasy characters and other fun touches and cuddly toys hanging upside down above the bar) to the delicious burger this place is a must to go for lunch or dinner. The Juicy Lucy and the Full Nelson are the ones you must try but I bet that after that you'll want to keep going there to try them all. Burger fans, you've been warned. This will be your new addiction!

i ate here on a friday just recently with friend who works nearby, it's her local.
seemingly a virtual restaurant by day and bar by night - last food at 8pm - the food is very burger-centric with home-made monster burgers with multi-toppings their speciality. friend had 'veggie on the med' and i had 'the full napoleon'.
hers was a really good and nice textured veggie burger topped w/ roast peppers, haloumi, mozarella and houmus. pretty damn tasty! mine was a mahoosive beef burger - home-made and chargrilled with brie, onions, bacon and garlic mayo.
my burger was awesome - best i've eaten in, well, forever... chips were hand-cut and there was a mini-salad in there somewhere.
guy at next table had a 'scooby burger' - basically, a double sized affair, about 10'' high - i don't know if he lived to tell the tale, it was huge.
the nelson staff were seriously rushed and the place was heaving but the atmosphere was great, staff friendly and funny (they were doing a weird dance routine by the bar at one point - hilarious...), music ridiculous and the decor insane.
well worth a visit - this is not a byron burger, this is a real one-off and all the better for it.
I feel so lucky that we stayed just across from Lord Nelson during our stay in London. Very funky & vibrant place with a great atmosphere. So many interesting artworks and cool photos on the wall and there is a nice size outdoor area. Even during the week the place was buzzing 👍
Pub has great vibe for couples and groups with indoor and outdoor seating, good music, good drink selection and a wide range of bar food offering beef or chicken for most types of burger. Ordered a chicken Lord Nelson burger which was large enough to intimidate me. However I suspect there may have been some accident in the kitchen since the burger was incredibly salty which sadly spoiled it for me. Luckily the draft Dortmunder beer was good compensation. Will return soon to try a different burger with hopefully better luck next time.
Popped in for a few jars after a meeting in Southwark, ended up staying most of the night! Always a sure sign of a great boozer. They have Murphys on tap too, haven't seen it in London for many years, proper pint. Buzzy atmosphere, great staff, and the food looked spot-on. I'll definitely be back whenever I'm in the area👍🏽
Generous portions and juicy burgers with fries. NHS and student 20% discount
The pints are pretty reasonable as well £5-£6 compared to bars down the road that are £7.
Nice and friendly vibe!
Awesome burgers and a great friendly vibe. Victor was a great host, when he says be careful with the chilli sauce. Listen.
Not the best Burges I had in my life, but the portion was huge, and there were plenty of choices. The vibe of the place is unique. I definitely recommend checking.
For 6 years I lived in London and frequented this place!… After 4 years I’m finally back and not only I’m so happy that the pub survived the pandemic, but also that it has barely changed at all!
The menu and the decorations are different, but the place is still quirky, the food generous and flavoursome and the prices reasonable!
Still one of the best (and kept secret) burgers in London ✨
I loved it because I found my favourite beer... Cruzcampo. The bar is very nice-looking and colourful.
Very good chips, really good beer, and decor that made me think of Nathan Barley. I think it's worth a visit just to enjoy the decoration, but don't go if you want to visit a traditional English pub. The burgers have a good reputation, but I don't know if that's deserved or not because I didn't have one. Let's assume it is.
You can really have fantastic burgers in this bar! They are so hearty but also so delicious. The meat has very high quality and they often have a selection of beef, lamb, venison and some others. Try the Farage lol! No in all seriousness, their onion rings were really great and the burger with scampis and blue cheese was awesome.
