Good Italian food, amazing location and pretty nice atmosphere. The stuff is very friendly and welcoming. My cacio & pepe portion was really big! I would recommend it to Italians living in London who miss home.

It’s been 4 months I am visiting this place and I am totally in love with this place. I and my friend often come here together or sometimes with our families. This place has the authentic Italian food. Their wines are amazing and pastas are to die for. My favorite from the menu are pizzas, I have tried them all and they are just so good. Visit this place and you won’t be disappointed.
I was the first time we tried this place yesterday and this place was amazing. Lovely staff and great ambience. Menu was good we ordered pizzas; margherita and gola. They have the best pizza, they just do magic with flavors, simply amazing and not so expensive. We are returning soon and would recommend this place to others as well.

Truely Authentic Italian Food. I live in Sydney where we have a fantastic authentic italian quarter, I also lived in Italy for a year so I have eaten a lot of really great Italian food.
Consequently I can be very critical when trying new italian restaurants so believe me when i say i think i have had my best italian food tonight. I do not usually write reviews, but i feel compelled to tell people about this meal.
The staff are extremely warm and friendly and the restaurant has a wonderful intimate feel to it. The waiter, manager and head chef had all greeted us within a minute of entering the restaurant. You very quickly feel like you are back in italy with the family.
Although the menu is quite short with around 5-6 choices for starters, pasta dishes and main courses we seemed to take forever to decide between the different options as they all seemed so appealing. When the food came we were not disappointed. Each dish used beautiful fresh ingredients as well as home made pastas, i cannot express how sensational they were.
As the restaurant primarily serves food from puglia I tried the Orecchiette with brocoli and italian sausage which is a regional speciality. genuinely i have not had flavours like this outside italy, and infact not even in the north of italy.
My partner ordered the amatriciana which is apparently the chef's speciality dish and was incredible. It looked like a typical tomato based sauce but the flavours were perfectly balanced and the flavour sublime.
For dessert, i had tiramisu, for that is how i judge italians. it is a simple dessert which is why it is hard to make it stunning. This was fantastic and innovative, the bicsuit base was more chocolatey and crumbly with cream some how melted and mixed in the base.
They really have a winning combination here. The friendly warm southern italian staff, who continue to perpetuate the notion of the hospitality and warmth of the italians as well as the beautiful fresh food. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a genuine italian experiance. I can't wait to go back.

I have walked past Gola many times and loving the warm and buzzy atmosphere it seems to have, I booked for the 4 of us and scoured the menu several times before our visit. The tiny 'higgledy piggledy' restaurant was packed from 7:30pm right through to when we were leaving, with tables still coming in for their fix of home-cooked Italian foods. I mention this, as the menu stresses (and on-line) that their emphasis is on quality and authenticity (not what it looks like on a plate). You are to be 'treated like old friends' eating food as they would in their own home. They also strongly ask you to not change the dishes as they believe their dishes are perfect as they are - ok, noted! It's a very 'cute' restaurant, lit mainly by candle and fairy lights so please excuse the photos as I didn't want to distur

I’ve spent a wonderful evening dining at Gola with my italian friends.
The menu proposes a real selection of italian dishes which are excellently reproduced and served in a surprising plate up, as you can see from the pictures.
We finally get to try the famous Cacio & Pepe by Gola which didn’t disappoint me and my italian friends.
Another must-try is the Orecchiette alle cime di rapa; and as starters the Focaccia, the Fried polenta and the Burrata.
We also tasted a bottle of Southern Italian red wine which was kindly suggested by the staff, since the wine selection is pretty good and it was hard to make a choice.
The staff and the service in general were very welcoming in respect of true italian tradition.
I totally recommend this place to everyone that appreciate the real italian cuisine and culture, for a dinner between friends, family or with a loved one.
The menu also proposes vegan options and the restaurant is children and pet friendly.
I will surely come back to have again some wonderful pasta and to try the meat-based dishes which sounded amazing too.

The food was was great!! Dishes were very originals and tasted very good. The servers were also very friendly and T least one of them was Italian so you know you’re getting the good Italian stuff in this restaurant. The ambiance was perfect too. It’s a small and welcoming place with beautiful decoration and good space distribution. I would definitely recommend it!!!
Magnificent in every respect. A beautiful, romantic setting, sumptuous food, delicious extravagant wine from true wine lovers, the most considerate, skilled service and inherent kindness at every step. We enjoyed the most delightful evening as Aaron & Claudia spoilt us every moment. We long to return and celebrate once again at this wonderful restaurant. Absolutely one of the best Italian restaurants I have ever been (and I am italian).
This restaurant truly cooks the best dishes of the Italian tradition. We were 4 and we ordered a variety of dishes to try everything. As starters we ordered terrina di caciocavallo, burrata and carpaccio with radicchio. The Terrina was outstanding. The flavour of the caciocavallo was enhanced by some oregano and cherry tomato. So simple but so enriching.
As First we ordered Cacio e Pepe, orecchiette with Cime di Rapa and paccheri with aubergine. All of them were just perfection. The cacio e pepe is the best one in London so far, creamy and cooked al dente, just as it should be.
The owner kindly offered dessert and digestive at the end to complete the experience with even more amusement.
We spent a wonderful time dining at Gola. The food and wine were superb, top quality, authentic and beautifully presented. All the staff and owner were very hospitable and welcoming. It was my birthday and they presented me with a beautiful dessert which we all enjoyed. I would highly recommend dining here. We will surely return, thank you!
