Good freshly made food and nice friendly service would recommend to others. Starters and Peroni more expensive than I thought but mains are good value with a great specials board.

Typical Italian food and atmosphere, experience was great, the dishes are generous and very tasty, in addition to the service that was super fast. Extremely polite and courteous waiters. I there went to celebrate my birthday and I will definitely come back.

I can't express enough how wonderful our experiences have been at Pepenero Restaurant in Canning Town. This hidden gem has transported us to Italy with each visit. The food here is nothing short of exceptional, surpassing even the finest Italian restaurants we've tried in Italy itself. Every dish is a delightful journey for the taste buds, and the authenticity of flavors is truly remarkable. A special mention must go to the incredible staff, especially our favorite waitress, Madalina, who always greets us with a warm and friendly smile. Her exceptional service adds a personal touch to our dining experience that keeps us coming back. The manager, too, consistently goes above and beyond to ensure that every visit is memorable. Grazie mille, Pepenero, for bringing Italy to our neighborhood!

AMAZING food!! Stumbled across Pepenino’s and WOW, a gem of a place with amazing food. We had the veggie pizza and king prawn pasta and both were lovely. We’ll be making a return soon no doubt 👍

My husband and I had the most wonderful restaurant experience, the best I have ever had in my life, at Pepenero. We received exceptional service from Madalina; she treated us like family, and the Manager made us feel incredibly welcome. We were delighted to watch the passionate Vladimir in his craft as he shared his recommendation for beverages to pair with our meal. He is a masterful Bartender. The food was delicious, especially the pizza, and I enjoyed the pasta. The sauce was fantastic. We felt so welcome we came back a few nights later, and once again it was an unforgettable evening. Words cannot express how touched I was by these individuals. I truly hope to come back again soon, and I am so grateful to have met such wonderful people.

The food was excellent and I really enjoyed the pasta dish I had. Other people in my party had fish and chicken dishes and said they were great, too. No faults there. The service was nice and friendly, no big issues in particular, but I think they put everyone whose first day it was or was inexperienced upstairs. Given a few situations that occurred, it seemed like a training area with no experienced staff to assist them, either. Not great for them, not good service for us. I don't blame the staff for this, it was a poor decision on management's behalf. The atmosphere downstairs looked really nice, great decor, lighting, etc. Upstairs was the polar opposite. Brightly lit with a lot of hanging lights and blank walls with barely anything on them. It was just a lot of blank space, as if someone had just moved in and painted the walls, but not yet done anything else because the paint was still drying. Very dull and disappointing after coming from the downstairs area. Overall, I liked it (the food saved it being 3 stars) and intend to return but my first experience of the place could have been a lot better if I had lucked out and sat downstairs. Excellent food, not brilliant service, and a boring atmosphere. Avoid upstairs, sit downstairs.

Gets very busy as popular and not that big. Situated about 3 mins walk from Canning Town Tube and DLR station opposite the Premier Inn. Work meal after a day in the ExCel for an Exhibition so tired and hungry. Service was quick, staff great, had a real Italian feel about it. Would recommend and return, need to book, we got lucky but it was early, and know of others who went later and had no joy as fully booked.

A nice Italian restaurant serving a mixture of pizza, pasta and sea food. The place has lots of seating and the decor is fairly standard. The staff were super attentive and helpful with menu choices. The food was tasty and the portions were quite big, though some of the dishes are fairly expensive. Overall a decent experience, would recommend a visit.

I had my birthday dinner here with my best friend and we had a lovely dinner. The waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu, provided good advice and the food was made deliciously. You can get all the "Italian food classics" here, but their menu is much larger than that. They also have many fish and meat dishes that you typically find only in the more culinary Italian restaurants. The service was very good and the price was fair for the quality of food, drinks and service.

We enjoyed the food here. Service is typical brisk, no-nonsense which I’m fine with. We actually prefer this than to have, as some restaurants do, folks checking on us (interrupting our dinner) every now and then. The crowd starts to pile in around 7pm. There is a 10% service charge similar to the country I came from so again this is fine for me.
