Quick service with delicious pasta. I would recommend pancetta carbonara and béchamel bolognese 💫
The new Emilia's near Aldgate has been terrific. We've been twice already. Service is quick. Tables not too close together. Good acoustics.
The first time we started with a shared bresaola with rocket and parmesan salad. Best to order this to share as it is quite a big portion. Good cold cut, lovely salad with lemony vinaigrette with shavings of good parmesan. The twiggy stems of the rocket had been removed, so nice attention to detail.
For pasta I had the caseretti with walnut sauce and mushrooms. Really good but not as good as my companion's lamb ravioli tossed with butter and sage. Amazing. A side of beans tossed in pesto was nice but not as special as the ravioli.
Great simple dessert of nut biscuits (amaretti and cantuccini) dipped in shots of amaretto. Basic but quite spectacular. i have since started serving this at home at dinner parties.
On our second visit started with the bresaola and salad again. I had the ravioli that blew me away the first time and my companion was happy with smoked salmon carbonara. We plan to eat our way through the entire menu, but suspect the ravioli is the best pasta they do.
We had a great dining experience here! Although we didn't have a reservation, the staff was accommodating and friendly. However, I would recommend making a reservation beforehand to secure your spot. While the pasta we ordered was a bit salty for our liking, the overall quality of the food was good. It's worth noting that there are only two girls in the kitchen - one cooks while the other prepares salads and other non-cooking tasks, so the service can be a bit slow. Nonetheless, the atmosphere is lovely and the staff is welcoming. Make sure to book your table in advance before heading over!
We had a very nice meal. Bruschetta and tomato sauce pasta with buffalo mozzarella and bolognese. All delicious. Great wine and excellent dessert of pistachio cheesecake. Highly recommend. It’s small so reservations are a must.
We thoroughly enjoyed the dining experience. All the items were delicious and seemed so freshly made. Starting with the bruschetta, homemade craft pasta and the dessert were all great. The homemade pistachio cheesecake need a special mention.
A restaurant you must try. I have been to both locations. The best authentic pasta. I had the pasta with bruschetta- honestly chef's kiss. I would highly recommend. The prices are reasonable and the staff were so friendly and helpful and I had a pleassnt conversation with them. I sat facing where all the food was being cooked and it was amazing.
It was lovely! The pasta was great, with fresh ingredients and without artificial flavouring or other unnecessary stuff. The waitress was friendly and attentive and our overall experience was great. And no plastic straws, instead they use uncooked pasta LOL, love it!
Lovely place to sit by the marina and the restaurant is quite nice inside. The open kitchen is very cool. Food was pretty good but nothing amazing I think. Ravioli were definitely better than the Bolognese. The bruschetta was definitely the best of the dishes we tried. Bar seating is nice if you want a good view of the food being prepared in the kitchen. Seems like they're marketing themselves as a budget option but we didn't feel like it constituted good value for money.
They serve delicious Italian noodles that are cooked to perfection with an "al dente" texture. The noodles have a firm yet tender consistency, providing a delightful bite without becoming mushy or sticky. They retain their shape well and absorb the flavors of the sauce, creating a harmonious and satisfying culinary experience.
There was a queue outside but it was totally worth it. Great pasta. Lovely tiramisu.
I waited outside for about 15 mins. The place was buzzing. The service was quick and very smooth.
I sat at the counter and it was fun to watch the kitchen staff churn out plate after plage of delicious pasta. It seemed like a very efficient operation.
What a gem this is. Sit outside and eat incredible Italian cuisine. We shared the bruschetta and Radiatori pasta in an exquisite red sauce and basil. Superb lunch!!!The service is so wonderful and welcoming. Bravo!!!!
Nice home made pasta and tiramisu. You can see how the staff work in the kitchen- good hygiene standards. The pasta was nice, but the carbonara was too salty, and the truffle pasta seemed to be made from only a truffle sauce as there were no actual pieces of truffle in it. The signature tiramisu was very nice and fresh. Prices were about £20/person
