A great place with very tasty dishes at sharp prices. Host Tim really knows his wines and knows how to create a friendly atmosphere. Service is excellent!
came here with my friend for dinner one evening we got here just before it opened. once they opened the doors the restaurant became full very quickly.
the service was a bit off at the start as the lady who started with us her English wasn't brilliant.. so someone else took our orders the service was good and the food was very good also. would definitely recommend and would come back myself .
It's best to sit and the front of the restaurant if you want a good vibe. The back is a bit cold and doesn't feel nice to be there as it's by the toilets and near the kitchen so avoid that place. Food was lovely but not that authentic. Still would recommend for a mid week grub!!
Best Italian restaurant in London!
Pizza looks amazing (I've never tried it) and main courses are perfect! I had pasta with king prawns and lamb ribs..oh...those are amazing!! Staff is polite and friendly! Gluten free option is available both for pasta and pizza! If you have any allergy of intolerance they will definitely find a solution for you!
I will definitely come back for a pizza!
Great pizzeria with real Italian vibe. It is always full which is a very good sign so try to get there early as possible. Pizzas are delicious and clay-oven baked so they have that typical Italian taste that fast food ones doesn't. The oven is at the back of the restaurant so you can actually see when the pizzas are taken out of it once ready. I have also had the Carpaccio di Manzo (raw filet slices), the Gamberoni Frittii (fried shimps with garlic) and the Linguini alle Vongole (pasta with tomato sauce and clams) and they were all delicious.

i have been twice ..food not bad . over rated , too expensive ,too noisy for me . staff are friendly and polite but very rushed.
So busy, great Italian, food is fresh and great tasting. Service lacks due to how busy it always is. Huge menu, could improve the drinks though. Highly recommend it and I'm looking forward to going back.
The best place in town to eat pizza. An Italian friend recommended it to me and the truth is that the dough is tasty and full of ingredients, just like a pizza should be. To drink I would like mention their sangria and for desert the banofee pie, both delicious. The staff can be a bit messy, specially because the place is usually crowded. Be patient and you won't be disappointed with their pizzas.
Pizzeria Pappagone is a special restaurant for me. We have been there several times and I tried almost everything on the menu. Pasta is simply amazing and pizza is really good too. Almost everyone is italian and they are super kind.
there is not other Italian restaurant in london with the same italian vibe you can really find in here. pasta and pizza are amazing. I have tried almost the 80% of the entire menu (been here at least 10 times) and they never failed. price are more than reasonable but again the ambient (staff included) is amazing.
What a treat! Very good food, very good portions (be careful with ordering, we hot an extra dish for the middle, definitely too much). The calzone was very tasty, cheezy and full of goodness. Gnocchi was also very good, simple tomato/basil sause that coated everything nicely. Good value for money as well. Only downside was the very busy space (too many tables, was far too noisy), but happy to go back for the food!
What a gem this Italian is! A huge menu so caters for all food lovers. We had a variety of meals and they were all fantastic. Super authentic Italian food and excellent service!
Well worth a visit to this wonderful restaurant.
My husband doesn't like my cooking, (but my friends do) however he deserved a reward for doing several hours of household chores. He wanted an Italian meal, he often asks for an Italian meal but only ever orders chicken Milanese. I wanted somewhere buzzy, exciting and delicious so we set off via Crouch End to Stroud Green Road N4 3PX, an area that we often explore. One of the Italian restaurants is called Pizzeria Pappagone. It looked full inside at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon, and the overflow tables outside were all full as well. Clearly a very popular and successful venue. We went in and asked for a table, explaining that we hadn't booked. Apparently you can only book by phone or by going in and asking. The lovely man allowed us in but we had to leave by a certain time. It smelled good, and there was great music in the background. We ordered 2 virgin coladas and they were very creamy and heavenly. My husband happily ordered the Vitello Milanese. When it arrived it was huge and on the bone, the spaghetti was full of lovely sweet cherry tomatoes, the crunchy covering was perfect and not puffy. Every mouthful was a delight. I know because I kept raiding his plate. Although I really wanted pasta, hubby persuaded me to order the lamb chops. They were cooked to perfection, I gave him some scraps, and, as it came with big happy chips, I gave him half of those, as well as a reluctantly allowing him to taste my wonderful spicy tomato chutney which was possibly the best that I have ever tasted. The clientele were varied, but there were several young groups and many Italians which is always encouraging. Unfortunately we were greedy and wanted desserts; they reached the same high standard. He had a very rich Tiramisu, while I stuffed myself on a ginormous bowl of ice creams and after eights. I struggled to drive home and slept for 2 hours. We will return soon, and I really want to share Pizza and pasta with hubby next time. It all looked so good.
I’ve known this place for years and it’s always a pleasure to come and eat here . First of all when you enter you can feel at home from the amazing smell of the food and the waiters are super nice ! The food is always fresh and finally a good portion for the right price ! Try to get the tiramisù cause it was delicious! I cannot recommend this place enought so go and try it if you are in the area of Finsbury . Thanks for the amazing hospitality guys

This place doesn’t disappoint. There was a great atmosphere and it was buzzing with energy. Tasty food. The lasagne was really good. I’ve been to this restaurant a few times and it’s always been a great time
Lovely friendly staff and delicious food. Best Tiramisu I've had outside of Italy! Unbelievable value.
Pizzeria Pappagone is where you go to when you’re hungry and want cheap decadence. The food won’t blow you back but the low prices and extensive menu will. Especially good after an evening of drinking, come here if you want cheap Italian eats.
Nice Italian restaurant! Lasagne was taste, as well as beef starter and main beef pasta dish. Recommend to anyone who enjoys Italian food. With the only note: ask to preheat coffee cup as mine arrived just warm and by the time I went to restroom to wash hands , coffee got cold..
Love coming here. Tasty pizza and other range of Italian food. Staff are friendly and service is speedy.
had my birthday here and could not have chosen a better place - amazing Sicilian wine, life changing pizza, and do not miss the dessert cocktails BOOM!!!
