Little restaurant awesome food
This place is 5-6 minutes walk from vauxhall station and my climbing gym. We went there around 10:15 pm on Wednesday and were the only people there. Food was really good, quantity was a bit lower than I expected and would cost around 15£ per person.
Would go again!
Enjoy the food. this was my first time in London and wanted a good place to eat chicken tikka. didn't got disappointed. loved the staffs and their humanly nature. hygiene was top class and the service was very fast. planning to visit again very soon. Thanks Mumbai delight for the awesome food.
We reached the earth place at 7:30pm and the place was packed.
The butter naan was different and tasted wonderful.
The prawn biryani & sweet lassi was good.
The Chicken Jalferazi was not up to the mark.
The service was a little slow but the experience was wonderful.
Recently Moved to Nine Elm Recommended by our neighbours, Mumbai delight is very local from here about 5 minute walk able distance. Now the part of "food" is OUTSTANDING you dint experience every where. I can count few restaurant in London food like this and I will take an opportunity to say that Mumbai delight is even better. Coming Back Soon.
Lovely little place and a must visit for anyone craving for authentic Indian food. They served some to the most "Indian" tasting dishes I've had in the UK, unlike the numerous other restaurants run by our friendly neighbors. What's even better is that you can wash down the food with some chilled Kingfisher. The place itself isn't too fancy and it's all the better for it. Loved the Chicken Tikka kebab which was cooked perfectly and served with three different chutneys. Would love to revisit when I'm in Vauxhall again!
CeCe Peniston's hit from the 90's Finally started blaring in my head as I tucked into my delivery from Mumbai Delights.
At long last I found an indian restaurant in central London that delivers reasonably good indian food.
The samosas, punjabi style, looked like they were actually made at the restaurant, the most importantly there was a good masala flavour in the potato and peas inside. The seekh kebabs, these obviously contain no colouring whatsoever, they were plump and juicy and had obviously just come out of the tandoor, they tasted mild, with a subtle hint of spices, I prefer my seekh kebabs a bit more spiced up, but honestly these were making me think one word while eating them... Quality. Also the sauces served with the entrees were really nice.
The pulao rice was yellow... not my favourite colour for a pulao rice, but again it was well cooked, and had the subtly in flavour u look for in a pulao, the accompanying butter chicken was really good, wasn't creamy as I am used to but was full of the flavour you expect from a butter chicken and the chicken pieces had been charred in the tandoor and finished in the sauce like it's meant to be... they were tender morsels, after the rubbish I've had from other nearby establishments I was very happy with this. The chilli cheese naan was ok, to be honest I don;t expect much out of a delivered naan as they dont travel well, so for what it was... it was good, I will say though for a chilli and cheese naan I didn't get much of a chilli hit.
All in all I will definitely be ordering from Mumbai Delight again when staying in central London.
Nice place and decent atmosphere. My last visit was on 12 Feb 2016. Food was awesome and good service and staff members. Nalli nihari is my fav in main course. In starters chicken lollipops.
They have many options n not blunt food. Must try.
Bar none best food I've had in London. Extremely friendly service, very helpful.
Best Indian Restaurant in Vauxhall, London. Went with friend for dinner last week, food was excellent, staffs were friendly and helped us to order mains. Indian deserts selection was new to me but very delicious. Only decent Indian place in Vauxhall. I will go again with my family soon.
Oh my goodness. What a great dining experience. This was my first visit to an Indian restaurant in London.
To start off, I found the ambience to be nice but it started to get cold outside and I could feel it a bit inside. We were sitting close to the windows. If you get cold quickly, I recommend sitting somewhere more in the center of the restaurant. The place is clean, the service was great. We even enjoyed a little story telling about the place and the owner by one of the service staff. Very lovely people.
The food was delicious. The sticky tamarind wings' marinade was so tasty and rich in flavour my tummy sang a song of joy. It literally made me cry. Could have licked the plates clean. Also the Samosa Chat was mouthwatering. The sauces on top were incredible. I usually do not like (fresh) coriander but the green sauce, which also included coriander, gave it an extra touch. Not too strong and complementary to the samosa. Delish!
For the main course we had Lamb Curry and Mumbai Ka Murga (chicken). Both dishes were spicy. We like to eat spicy food and I felt it had the right amount of spice. Nice tickle, bit of a runny nose. But still able to taste all the spices. The Mumbai Ka Murga sauce was flavoursome and had many different spices. Loved the sauce. Absolutely mouthwatering. The lamb was great! It was so soft it fell apart. Absolutely delicious. The lamb curry was more spicy than the chicken dish.
The brownie at the end could have been more juicy and moist. The ice cream on top was a good addition.
All in all, we were absolutely happy with our experience there. We'll definitely come back during our next visit to London. 🥰
What a delight to find an Indian restaurant offering such a good selection of “ask for vegan” options on their menu. Mumbai Delight offer a good variety of dishes outside of any “usual” selection you might find - I haven’t seen aubergine or okra dishes on many Indian menus. The staff were polite and the service was very good. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favour and pop in for a delicious meal that definitely won’t break the bank!
I ordered the Mumbai Ka Murga, it was delicious, just the right amount of spice. The poppadoms and garlic naan were fresh, and the accompaniments were tasty.
The servers were attentive and pleasant.
The bill was around £33 for one person, which included a glass of wine.
The restaurant is small and there was a loud table of ladies filling the room with their conversation. It was around 5pm.
I would definitely go back.
The vegetarian dish I ordered was too spicy for my liking even with yogurt added. (I don't remember seeing any hot chili pepper indication for my dish on the menu, but I could be wrong. I should have articulated my preference to the waiter anyways.) On the other hand, my partner loved his dish & then finished mine.
The restaurant is located in Lambeth. The place is clean and hygienic. Mr Chris, the hotel manager is very courteous. The hotel is owned by Indian chef Mr Ajay; and we could taste his efforts in delivering genuine Indian taste across the shores in plates here in London.
Exceptional training given to the team.
Worth visiting for enjoying the spices and flavor of Indian food. And not any pseudo Indian preparation.
Came here for my mum’s birthday and the food was delicious, the staff are also lovely and accommodating with their booking arrangements
My first time here with my family. As soon as we stepped foot in the door til we left was exceptional service. The food was really delicious and just perfect. It felt like home as it was such a lovely, warming, friendly atmosphere. Would definitely come back again :)
Visiting from France, we were looking for a good Indian restaurant. We were delighted to try Mumbai Delight. Everything was perfectly executed, a lot of taste and great service.
Looking for a sit down Indian restaurant in this part of town. Have eaten a lot of Indian food all over the world. This is on par with all the great restaurant. Great selection and the flavors were amazing.. Highly recommend!
A quite cozy place that serves nice Indian delicacies! The staff is extremely hospitable! I had a samosa chat, panner tikka masala, perhaps, and naan, and it was quite yummy. I eagerly look forward to trying chicken dishes out here!
