Me my partner and two 11 year olds dined here on Friday evening before a late movie screening a few miles down the road. We had two portions of the calamari and garlic bread, my son had a select your own toppings pizza my daughter had the spinach and pancetta pasta and me and my partner shared the chicken penne pasta with a glass of the house red which was such a lovely compliment to the fantastic food. We feasted until we were absolutely stuffed. The staff at this restaurant were so so lovely they catered to our every need with a smile and light banter with the kids which was really nice. The atmosphere was electric with small families to couples and groups of university aged peers, the menu is vast and there is something for everybody, as this is very local to where we live it is now going to be our local family restaurant, if you haven't been i bid you to go and did i mention that our bill came to just over £60 talk about value for money!!!

If you're after a local Italian, then look no further. The food here is lovingly cooked with fresh (sometimes seasonal for the specials) ingredients, which make up the host of authentic dishes on the menu.
I chose the deep fried Brie to start (that evenings special), which was presented on half a mango. Not what I expected, but just as tasty as I'd hoped. The lasagne - meaty, saucy perfection - was surprisingly the highlight of the evening. I say this because I'm not a pasta fan, and yet I devoured my dish entirely. The tiramisu wasn't the best I've had, but the generous portion I consumed acted as a creamy and satisfying end to the evening (I can assure you the experience wasn't as x-rated as it sounds).
The staff here treat everyone as if they were regulars, and they clearly love what they do. If you're not sure about a dish, they'll happily recommend you something to suit your tastes. I would highly suggest booking a table though, as it gets very busy, and walk-ins can easily be turned away empty handed.
Would I visit again? Of course! I will definitely be heading back.

Most Amazing Pizza in South London. Well... This and La Querce in Honor Oak. But Caravaggio's prices are far more reasonable, service is super fast and the staff are very friendly.

Great food and value!. Authentic Italian food and really excellent value! Atmosphere is also really pretty and the waitstaff are Italian which adds to the authenticity. Really fast service too, and great decor! It's a lot bigger inside then it looks from the front door and there's even a tiny garden area!

Really enjoyed this little treasure chest of a restaurant; we visited for lunch expecting panninis and pasta salads but instead were seated in the back which was beautifully decorated. Exceeded our expectations! :-)
A decent almost Italian experience; overall the food was good, but it feels like it's an Italian place aimed towards British people and not really genuinely Italian. For example, the carbonara had cream and basil.
I would probably recommend this to some UK friends but I don't think I'd come back here again in case I feel I'm missing home back in Italy.
Still, portions were satisfying and prices honest, so i feel it still deserves 4 stars.

One of the best Italian restaurants we have been. Food is authentic and tasty. Service is very good. Special menu was explained in details. Food and drinks are reasonable priced. It doesn’t look big from outside but It has a lot of space inside the restaurant. Free parking over the weekend or after 6:30pm nearby. We enjoyed our meal. Recommend to all!
Taglioni al salmone affumicato was delicious, creamy just how I like it with a good amount of salmon. What I didn’t like so much were the amount of tomatoes, too many for me. But, I really enjoyed the asparagus in the dish which was a first for me, when I’ve had this pasta elsewhere they haven’t had asparagus as part of the dish.
As a starter I tried the Bruschetta scamorza e pomodorini which I really enjoyed, lots of flavours that complimented each other well. However, my Italian friend didn’t agree, she stated it was mediocre and that the cheese wasn’t as described; it was mozzarella cheese instead.
She had the linguine alle vongole, which she would rate 3/5, nothing special.
Loved the atmosphere and the staff were very attentive and friendly.
My brother Vincent introduced us to this fabulous restaurant. The food is fabulous, the decor is tasteful. They serve haute cuisine dishes at very reasonable prices and have an excellent wine list. Very friendly staff. One of a kind, highly recommend.
Was going to get seafood pasta but was told that the food is halal so I opted for the steak which was good and very filling. Loved the portion size! Great service from the staff
We held our post wedding registry luncheon at Caravaggio for 55 guests. The service of Fernando and his team was brilliant.
They catered a wide range of dishes for our guests which were all excellent. Portion sizes were very generous as well.
Fernando decorated the room very well with simple decorations. He pays attention to detail and listened to our requests.
This is a lovely "Italian" restaurant. A gem in London. Would advise anyone to hold functions/parties here. The food is tantalising and the decor and atmosphere of the restaurant are homeley and warm.
Caravaggio made our special day incredible with tasty food, excellent wine and a warm 😊 from all the staff!

Had an excellent dinner with an old friend last night and I'm so glad we went here. From the outside, it looked a little humdrum, but when we got inside the atmosphere was great. The service was friendly and attentive but not overbearing. The food was tasty. ( Goat cheese starter was really delicious) And the prices were surprisingly reasonable, especially for Camberwell.
If you want a place to eat and catch up with friends in the area, you can't do better than Caravaggio.
Came here just before the second lockdown. Very delicious and fulfilling meal! We had a little mix up with the order and got some king prawns we did not order for appetizer, but it turned out to be a good mistake.
Linguine with clams, two risottos and margherita pizza were all delicious. Finished with classics tiramisu and torta del nonna.
Not too bad. Decent pasta place for not too much. But quite unexceptional
