Stayed at the hotel for a business trip and dined out here on the first night. Being a Sunday the place was pretty quiet, the upside was the service was very attentive! the Josper grilled steak was a B+ and so was spinach sides. The locally brewed beers were perhaps the highlight.
Their breakfast service is quite popular and preferred that over the dinner there.

Lovely food and service from Sukumar and Madison was really lovely. The Lamb dish is wonderful, also really delish desserts.

Great atmosphere and service, I love going here for drinks. This time we ordered 2 espresso martinis and they had no problem in making one of the drinks decaffeinated and the other without sugar as requested.

Went in for a few fries and a dessert and had the upmost kindest service from staff!! The ambience was calming and the food was delightful. The manager Leui and our server Anica was amazing and the manager cleared the bill when there was absolutely no need!! Would absolutely go again!

I had nothing to complain about in this establishment. The food is very good and the service extremely attentive and polite. I had a pleasant business meeting. The caramel toffee desert is worth the 900+ calories. Just share it!

Popped in for lunch with a friend near the office, the vegan burger was huge and really tasty and the sundae was fab! 🍔🍨

It's my second time here, nice place and food was good. However I think they could use bigger plate for stater. We spotted a typo on their tea menu, however the staffs seem don't know much about it. :P

I came here on a Sunday and had the beef roast. It was so good! It didn’t get 5 stars because the staff didn’t really explain the menu correctly to us and therefore we had ordered some expensive drinks. But the roast was really good and I would go back. It didn’t wow me but definitely a great place. The roast is £20 so it is slightly pricy but a treat yourself on a Sunday... why not!

My friend and I decided to go for a bottomless brunch and picked South Place based on its location and menu. The venue has great atmosphere and our waiter was very charming with a lovely french accent. We enjoyed our meals and followed the waiters recomendations and were not dissapointed. The salted caramel dessert was the perfect ending. The prosecco was flowing throughout the lunch our glasses never left empty. Perfect spot for a meet up with friends.

Not too bad! Steak tartare was reliably tasty and the ribeye was cooked very well (red wine jus was very thick and rich which is perfect too). However the bone marrow was very disappointing - 8£ for what was very little scraps of marrow was not worth it I have to say. Overall though, it's a pretty solid lobby-of-a-hotel restaurant-type of place. (Psst...Angler is in the same hotel).
