Good old English pies always make me happy and delighted.
It was my first place to try in London and it did not disappoint. It was a 2 minute walk from the hotel I stayed at.
It’s extremely busy at the Blackbird and I can see why. The atmosphere is bustling and loud.
The service is authentic and welcoming.
The pie is the center piece as its exquisite appetising layers melted in my mouth. The mash was light, creamy and fluffy and the veggies provided and earthy feel and balance to the dish.
I quite enjoyed the London pride as it was smooth and light.
The dessert however was a let down, Im not sure what they were going for but the main reason I came was for the pie so I’ll ignore the dessert for my rating.

Corner pub quite famous with regulars. Great beers and a good place for chit-chat with friends. both seatings are available, over the bar or relaxed sofa seating. Quick service, friendly staff, nice decor and great tasting beers make the Blackbird fly high.
Para primeira visita em Londres fiquei muito bem impressionada. Serviço rápido, empregados simpáticos e empenhados. A comida muito boa, doses generosas e preço justo. Recomendo.
The Pints are Plentiful and the Food is Great, tried both the frontier battered Cos and the Jerk Chicken, bacon and Gouda Burger, firstly the Fish was battered I what I can assume was London Pride, for a piece of this fish size it was cooked perfectly without leaving that Oil aftertaste.
The Jerk Chicken burger was also great quality with the Nice crispy bacon and Gouda 👌👌 I will happily return in the remaining few days to give a shot at one of their Well Renown Ale Pies.
Wonderful place. Easy to get a table even on a Saturday night. Friendly staff with a quick service. Both the pies and ales are wonderful. Expect to pay £15/20 per person

A beatiful, traditional pub, where you can eat tasty pies, fish and chips and have a good ale or a cider. It can be a little bit too noisy when it's crowded... The staff was friendly and helpful. I might be back, if i'm in the neighbourhood.
Good Beer and Good Pies. A bit of an old skool pub selling good Fuller beers and some very good pies as well. It does get full of tourists but with the location what can be expected.
If you are in the area, I'd definitely check it out.
