Trishna is very famous among the local crowd for the very reason that it is a Michellin star restaurant. The food quality is amazing, especially the seafood varieties. Service was quick. Staff were friendly and attentive. The interiors were wonderfully done and well kept. Prices, I thought, were in terms with the quality they provide though some might find it to be a bit on the higher side. Definitely recommended!

Went here early doors before going to a show at the Apollo. The staff recommended the potato Bel Puri starter which was delightful. We followed up with a paneer dosa and aubergine curry with lemon rice. Everything was perfectly cooked and tasted wonderful. With poppadoms, beer and service it came to just over £40, which is less than we would have paid in Leeds! We begged the staff to open a second restaurant near our home, it was so good. Please don't miss this place, even if you a meat eater. The food is beautiful, price great and it is ideally situated for the Apollo. Enjoy!!

It’s a tiny place with good and courteous staff. The wall murals and the candles on table give a hint of cozyness in the ambience. Food was good. Not great though as I had thought it to be. We had lemon rice, paneer and a starter(sorry forgot the name). For drinks we had a mango smoothie.

One of the good Indian restaurant in the heart of London. The ambience was good with old photos about india hanging on the walls. The staff were warm and courteous. For starters ordered the veg sheek kebab which was very soft as expected. The mint chutney added to the taste. They had served some aplams, papad and sabudana chips which were good with the tamarind chutney. For the drinks ordered the litchi with mint and mix of some more fruits. It tasted tangy but the glass had more of ice cubes and less of juice. Main course was simple with paneer Chettinad and Hyderabadi yellow dal with garlic naan. The paneer Chettinad was one of the best I have had in recent memory. The dal was just about okay. The naan were crisp the way I wanted. Overall a very good experience.

[update]: went again and this time the food was okay.

I usually do michelin star restaurants as a one off, but dare I say not only the restaurant was good but even worth the money. You could spend anywhere between 20-100 pounds with the different menu options. They gave a detail account of what exactly we were eating. The portion size are very generous.

Before there was 2016 critics’ favourite Hoppers, there was its culinary daddy, Trishna. The Sethi family are legends in London, their magic touch extending from Michelin-starred Trishna and Gymkhana through to Lyle’s and street food turned bricks and mortar Bao. Their first love though is Indian food. Due to its (Brenty?) wave of immigration from the Indian subcontinent, Britain has been blessed by a profusion of restaurants serving Pakistani/Indian/Bangladeshi food. You can still see the legacy of these restauranteurs trying to cater to the British palates of old by the appearance of dishes like prawn cocktail on curry house menus.

Came here for a birthday celebration and got the tasting menu. It was fantastic and we left stuffed! Would recommend but don't try to finish anything and ask for a takeaway lol my favourites were the scallop, crab curry and the spinach. They even gave us an extra dessert for my partners birthday!

Food 10/10 The perfect amount of spice for someone with an okay spice tolerance. Super flavorful dishes, and I didn’t feel like the heat was overpowering or taking away from the flavors. We ordered the chutney to start, and I loved the lightness of the rice crisps, while the mango chutney was outstanding. For appetizers, we got the soft shell crab, fried squid and shrimp, and scallops. You can’t go wrong with any of those dishes, but my favorite was the soft shell crab, as it came with a beautiful sauce. A lot of frying though, so I was already feeling the meal when the mains came. The cashew chicken can be skipped, but the lamb leg I highly recommend–a bit of smoke and a lot tender. Next time, would skip on the naan just due to the sheer amount of food they serve. Atmosphere 9/10 Super cool vintage/rustic industrial vibes, with some mirrored panel walls and a beautiful selection of lighting. Comfortable seats and quite intimidate yet modern feel. Service 10/10 Very friendly service, accommodating and made sure that we were happy with what we ordered and the pace of the meal.

I was invited to lunch here by some very good friends and it took a little time to make this work for us all. We started lunch after 1pm and worked through the menu more than we planned. The service was on another level of excellence. The taste of everything was just so good. I had a mango beer which so nice and refreshing than my normal larger type beer with an Indian meal. Best lunch in many years. Has to be done again.

Visited Trishna on a short trip to London from Canada with an old friend who is local to the city and a sommelier in training. We had the lunch tasting menu and enjoyed several cocktails, a masala chai, and a lovely sweet wine. The food was delicious. It did not stray too experimental from classic Indian flavours but offered a consistently rich selection with every course. We were so full we could barely finish the mains. Loved this place. The wait staff was friendly and the interior was gorgeous. The only thing was that I found the chai a bit too sweet for my tastes, but otherwise everything was perfect.

High-end Indian cuisine. Food with a twist, we had the lunch menu that we enjoyed, good balance and combination of tastes. desserts were less interesting. We took the small lunch menu and the potions were generous. Food allergies and restrictions were taken in account.

I visited with my mother to celebrate her birthday booking a week ahead for a 1pm Saturday slot. I noted that it was her birthday in the reservation, requesting a small cake at the end of the meal. We were warmly welcomed by staff, with the menu explained opting for the 3-4 course lunch/early evening set menu with varied options. Unlike a previous non-starred restaurant, this menu included papad with dips, naan, rice, and sides. We both chose 4 courses—vegetarian for her, non-veg for me. We ordered drinks: mango lassi for my mum, salted lassi for me. Mum liked the mango lassi's texture and notable mango flavor. My salted lassi was well-spiced but too thick and lacked sufficient salt. The papad arrived promptly, offering a mix of varieties from standard 'poppadoms' to spiced tapioca crackers—an appetizing assortment. The accompanying chutneys enhanced the experience. A spicy mint & coriander sauce paired exceptionally with the sweet mango chutney. The tomato-based sauce was also delightful with the papad. All sauces were a hit, nearly wiped clean! Just before finishing the papad, our initial courses arrived: Mum's aloo chaat and my soft shell crab. Mum enjoyed the chaat as an ideal opener. The crab boasted a decadently seasoned, crispy batter; the accompanying paste and garnishes elevated it. Some uncooked batter inside the crab was a minor issue, not ruining the dish for me. Our second course followed swiftly. Mum chose the badami broccoli, while I opted for the trout. Although I can't personally comment on the broccoli, Mum found it delicious and perfectly cooked, striking the perfect balance between 'al-dente' and overly soft. As for the trout, it was remarkable! Marinated and tandoor-finished, it sported a gorgeously browned exterior and tender, juicy interior—truly melt-in-the-mouth. The complementary yoghurt sauce expertly balanced the flavors, rendering the dish perfect in my view. The third course marked the 'curry' round for us, though the menu doesn't use the term. These dishes transcend local curry houses. I chose lamb, while Mum picked paneer. The sides included spicy baby potatoes, a rich tarka daal style dish, intoxicatingly fragrant basmati rice, stuffed garlic naan, and ajwain spiced naan. Two notable things struck us: the generous portion sizes and the diverse range of flavors. The food itself was impressive. The lamb was tender, not drowning in oily sauce, and paired well with rice and naans. The potatoes offered a delightful kick with balanced seasoning. Mum enjoyed her paneer but wished for more spice, a sentiment I shared after trying it. By now, we were practically full, leaving only a bit of rice and naan. Observing others taking home leftovers, we realized it was an option if needed, so no pressure to overindulge. Desserts arrived: kulfi, kheer, and a discreetly arranged birthday cake with a signed card from the staff—an unprecedented touch. The kheer's citrus twist and orangy ice cream balanced beautifully, textured with pistachios. The double-layered kulfi, plain and rose-flavored, rested on vermicelli, adorned with soaked basil seeds—a colorful and tasty delight. We finished our meal with masala chai to accompany the birthday cake. The chai was a tad watery and could've been milkier for my tastes. The cake (our favorite, chocolate) caused no issues, and notably, it wasn't on the final bill. What an unforgettable meal! Worth every penny. The early set menu was £45 per person, drinks were £6 each, totaling £130 with the 12.5% service charge, gladly given. Impeccable care and attention crafted a flawless experience. Service was attentive, the 4-course meal left us delightfully full. Decor balanced dark furniture with soft lighting for an intimate atmosphere. Spacious tables avoided any sense of crowding, despite the busy restaurant. Trisha is a must for a true Michelin Star dining experience that exceeds expectations. Eager to return for the full tasting menu. Lastly, if anyone from Trishna reads this, I send my heartfelt thanks for making my mother's birthday extraordinary.

We had an amazing time! The food was amazing. The spices and construction of the dishes was made with incredible taste, finishing with a high note on desert. See the photos attached. The best thing however was the service. In a casual way they found out the day before it was my girlfriends birthday. They quickly made sure to give her a small cake with a card congratulating her. It made everything a bit more special… Thanks for this amazing experience.

Beautiful place and tasty dishes! We went here for our anniversary and the offered also a dessert. Only thing to mention is that the dishes were a little bit spicy and in the menu they don’t specify that.
