The Italians are famous for liking their food simple but great. If you go for pizza with an Italian, they probably won’t order a pie heaped with toppings but rather go for something plainer so they can fully experience the flavour. We experienced this recently at one of London’s most authentic Italian restaurants, In Parma. So intimate and authentic, the owner served us himself. We were meeting a friend but couldn’t wait to dive right into the menu as soon as we arrived. Our charming host explained the premise of the restaurant, traditional ingredients and dishes brought straight from Parma, cheese and meat platters to start and classic pasta to devour.

Continuing along the vein of bringing you some of my favourite places in London, I think it’s about time I got around to introducing In Parma. Located on the tiny Charlotte Place in Fitzrovia, In Parma is a small Italian restaurant which focuses on bringing the top produce from Parma, Italy to London, from Parma ham and Parmesan cheese, to my favourite, Lambrusco.

In Parma is a cozy restaurant in a small lane off Charlotte-street. This is nothing like the wannabe-starred restaurants which are very common in London. This is an authentically Italian place, where the food is simple and tastes genuinely. Eventually while sipping lambrusco-wine from the bowl you might feel carried away to Emilia, in Italy.

This place had good reviews on yelp. There is not a lot of space so you might want to reserve it. The servers are friendly and will tell you about the place and the menu after you settle in. One peculiar thing is that they serve wine in a bowl instead of glass. I would recommend spinach ravioli and the cheese platter. Also heads up about a change in menu every week.

Go there if you are Italian and you are homesick. Or, if you are not Italian, go there to taste the food that every Italian would love to have when he feels homesick. Nice place, nice atmosphere.

Beautiful food! The spaghetti al pesto Genovese was my favourite, but the other dishes were delicious too. Service was warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere was cosy. The tables and chairs were a little close together, but it's expected in such a small restaurant.

The food here was very tasty and I really enjoyed it. The desserts were surprising and very enjoyable. The only reason I gave it 4 stars and bit 5 was the presentation. It wasn't the best and seemed quite colourless in a way, so the taste was very surprising as when I saw the presentation it didn't seem great. It didn't look to bad but it just wasn't appraising in my opinion. Despite this I found the flavours very interesting. It was something I had never tried before and was pleasantly surprised. I had the 'Anolini in Brodo' and the 'Totelli D'erbetta'. The capon broth for the 'Anolini in Brodo' was nice and salty but very appetising. The more I ate it, the more I enjoyed it. The 'Totelli D'erbetta' was chewy (in a nice way) and the filling was very fresh and delicious. The only thing was that this dish had a lot of pasta compared to filling but I'm not sure if that's how it's meant to be. You can also tell that this pasta is freshly made and is cooked very nicely. The desserts I had was the 'Semi Freddo Amatetto' and the 'Chocolate Salami'. They both had a nice sweetness and were nice for the end of a meal. Personally my favourite was the 'Semi Freddo Amaretto' as if was nice and refreshing after the meal though the 'Chocolate Salami' was very tasty and had a nice mixture of texture. So yes, I would recommend this restaurant. This set up is very nice and rustic and staff are very kind. Fantastic little restaurant with a superb atmosphere and terrific food. The fresh pasta was delightful, with some unique recipes which are great if you want something a bit different, and the cheese and meat boards were interesting and well presented. There was only one server for the whole restaurant, so things took a little while longer which is understandable but this did make the 12.5% service charge a little disappointing. Overall though a fantastic little place highly recommended.

Amazing, cozy, authentic. Just a few words I would use to describe my experience @ In Parma. We started with the meat and cheese plates where our waitress described every item and their differences. We all had a different pasta dish, all were out of this world. We closed the meal with one of each dessert item and I am still trying to decide which was my favorite.

Gorgeous traditional Northern Italian food. Fresh pasta and beautiful wines. Shout out the waiter, a young gentleman who treats people like royalty. Professional, knowledgeable and so happy to help make everything just perfect for you. I can't have cow's milk products and the staff were kind enough to combine two dishes to make something special for me. Lovely warm atmosphere and refined, seasonal menu. Fabulous spot. Couldn't give 5 *s as I had really hoped their Buffallo Mozzarella was 100% pure - but it has some cows milk in it so I couldn't eat it. If they get the real thing I'll never leave!

Stumbled on this lovely restaurant while I had time to kill in London. The focus of In Parma is Cheese and Chacuterie. I loved the Menu, for someone like me who struggle's with a big choice, the menu at In Parma is just right. I had the Tortelli D'Erbetta, House White Wine and a Light Tiramisu. All Great! I truly enjoyed the solitary lunch in a nice quite but relaxing ambiance. The music and service was great.

We enjoyed a light lunch here with a shared two meat and cheese board, some drinks, then salads of our own. All of the food was incredibly fresh and service was solid. While the place was small, we never felt crowded.

Just perfect, in every way. The food is superb - simply excellent produce, fantastically cooked. The staff are lovely, and incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the food. The setting is warm, cosy, relaxing, easy to socialize in. And location is on a lovely street in Fitzrovia - just superb. Great wine list too.

Excellent, unpretentious, authentic regional Italian food at a wonderful price. The food here is, outside of Italy, my absolute favourite for Italian in London. Great regional cured meats and cheeses. Their lasagna, tortelli and tiramisu and MUST HAVES. Small but exquisite selection of wines and lambrusco (like regional sparkling wine). Again, at impossibly good prices. I highly recommend this place. If you must have one place to go to in London for Italian food, it's here (from my experience of trying other Italian heavyweights in London, like Bocca Di Lupo, Arthur Hooper's, etc.) I have always left this place feeling extremely satisfied with the food and service.

Beautiful little restaurant with authentic food from Parma and it’s region. Went for a special occasion and had a very warm welcoming. Delicious and authentic pasta as well! Some of the portions are a bit small, but it’s worth it for the quality.
