This is the sister restaurant to Suvlaki in Soho which I'd heard very good things about so when I looked on the website to find that they also had a restaurant in Shoreditch I couldn't wait to visit. This restaurant is set at the end of the very bustling Brick Lane which is a great location. On entering you immediately smell the wonderful aromas of the food. We were greeted by Giulia who was an absolute delight and looked after us so well throughout our lunch. She showed us to our table which was the Naughty Corner a great little alcove set out for Two people. We looked at the menu which is Greek Tapas and just wanted to try as many dishes as we could although the advice we were given was between 3 & 5 plates per person depending on how hungry you are. After consulting with Giulia we chose a good variety of dishes . We started with a selection from the Small Plates section which were a Mediterranean Baked Feta , Courgette Fritters & the Olive & Citrus Wood Smoked Eel. All three dishes were amazing as was the Greek Salad side dish and the Pita Bread with Tzatziki We then moved on to the Suvlaki section where we had the Corn Fed Chicken & the Mount Olympus Wild Boar skewers both delicious. You could also have these as mini wraps or even a regular wrap but as we were sharing it was easier to have the skewers The next section of the menu is the Signature dishes and these are a must especially the Spicy Lamb Chops which were stunning so a big thanks to Giulia for the recommendation. I also had to to have the Octopus which is a big favourite of mine and I would feel like I missed out if I didn't try it and I'm so glad I did it was simply delicious Now it was time for dessert of which you only have three to choose from but the ones we chose were delightful. The Chocolate Biscuit Cake and the Orange & Almond Cake paired with a shot of Mastiha a fabulous Greek Liqueur This ended our time in the Naughty Corner and what was also an excellent lunch where the food and service was amazing. I would highly recommend this place as it's everything you would expect from a small and friendly Greek restaurant and I for one hope to return soon. A final thanks to Giulia plus compliments to the chef
I am still salivating at the thought of the food from this place. Our waiter was friendly and welcoming, we asked him to do his worst and pick our entire menu - between 4 and 6 mixed dishes with a couple of beers. He couldn't have pleased our taste buds more, the food was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. Great for sharing; we split everything down the middle and the two of us were full to the brim. Would loved to have sampled a dessert, but couldn't manage it...perhaps next time!
Heavenly modern Greek food in cool/urban surroundings. The small plates and sharing concept is perfect and all is very reasonably priced. The courgette fritters and wild boar sausage skewers are highlights.
literally next door to the famous brick lane baigel bake shop, you don't even realise this place exists unless you accidentally notice someone entering/leaving through the gated door. and it's a pity, because inside there's a quiet, lovely little greek corner. we shared corgette fritters, baked aubergine, baked feta, and chicken souvlaki (go large with that if you want more than a morsel size tapas). food was good, and service friendly
Amazing food to share! Lovely decor inside and brilliant service. Very good vegetarian options too
Loved every single dish. Service was quick, friendly and helpful (patiently explained all the dishes on the menu). Thank you, we'll for sure be back!
The food is Greek tapas style. It's a delicious combination of vegetarian plates but also chicken, lamb and sea food. It's great to share with friends, it is fresh and light and you do feel full at the end.
The staff is lovely and look after you with care.
Even on a Monday night it's quite busy.
Delicious Greek Culture Restaurant. Similir style as Turkish and Spanish style which is "little little in to the middle" style food sharing. Tarama salad and prawns are a great starter. lamb chops are very tasty and tender. At the end you should definitely get a turkish coffee to boost your energy
Great Greek restaurant. Perfect for sharing (would recommend you order at least 3 small plates per person and a wrap) and also not too expensive. When you're with 5 people you might have a problem sharing some stuff as there are for instance only 3 meatballs on the plate.
This place was lovely. Everything you eat here will taste amazing, and the setting is comfortable and lovely. The wine selection is small, but each choice is perfect.
