Ouch! I can confidently say that I had the best meal of my life so far at this place! Well, I never, ever indulged in a meal like I did with Addie’s.
Taste was perfect, well seasoned noodles with a perfect hint of sweetness. The duck was well done with its accompanying veggies. The food presentation was mouthwatering, the staff was so sweet and attentive, and the venue was cozy. Isn’t it the best combination out there?
Stopped in last night for a very enjoyable dinner. The thai fish cakes and money bags were a nice starter, my partner found the duck to be a little chewy but the flavours of the curry were very nice. I enjoyed the deep fried cod with morning glory, which looked like kang kong or Asian water cress. Very edible
Ordered so many I lost count of everything that was served on the table. Food was very tasty, and all were spicy too so it's very suitable if you like spicy food. The menu is also very complete and offers a broad range of Thai cuisine.
This is my favourite Thai restaurant in London. The food is so delicious, it is also very reasonably priced. The restaurant is always busy and the staff are just so great. I can't say enough nice things about this restaurant. I think it's just a must try for anyone that loves Thai food or just wants some delicious food!
One of the best. A really good Thai friend of mine took us to Addies while i visited London and missing Thai food. The restaurant was a bit hard to locate cuz there's no big enough sign infront.
Greeted by a friendly hostess. Such a homie atmosphere as you entered. The food is EXCELLENT! If you've never been to Thailand, this restaurant will take you there! I ordered Nom Tok Moo (spicy pork with herbs) and my boyfriend had Kao pat Gai (chicken friend rice) and also another dish but couldn't remember. Along with the yummy food, we had Singha beer (Thai Beer).
After a delicious dinner, i recommend you go downstairs, where you'll find a tucked away Bar that plays local Thai music. AMAZING! :) i had a great time!
One of the best thai restaurant in London, where they not try to denature thai food to match western taste. Just real thai food.
Pla Pad Prik Sod (Deep-fried cod fillet with morning glory). This was the highlight of the meal, and also the dish recommended by my friend. The cod was deep-fried with a very tasty batter, and then cooked in a sauce which tasted almost like black bean, but not quite, and the morning glory vegetables (kangkung) that came in the dish absorbed the sauce very well. For the price, we got quite a few chunky pieces of cod.
Addie’s Thai has offers Bangkok street food in a two level setting: the basement has a lounge bar and tables, and there is a further dining room on the ground floor. It is a sister to the excellent Churchill Thai Kitchen in Kensington, and has been operating since 1987. The owner, Mr Addie, had cooked previously as head chef at a luxury hotel (The Imperial) in Thailand.
Addie’s Thai is a super popular venue for Thai food, and has been recommended to me by numerous sources. I mean, it’s kind of cute that on its menu, Addie’s Thai even professes to be “probably the best Thai in London”. I’m glad they said “probably”, becau
It's been years since I returned to eat at Addie's Thai (I remember it as Addie's Thai Cafe and I only just noticed the dropping of the Cafe when I looked up its website) in Earl's Court. I used to live in the area (getting quite a few takeaways from Addie's) and every time I go back, I'm always surprised to see all the changes in the are, especially regarding new cafes and restaurants. Blai and I found ourselves meeting there one evening and visited the restaurant again for old times sake. That Wednesday night, the place was packed and we only just managed to get a table for two without a booking. It's clear that the restaurant remains popular. To start, we got a couple of drinks - both variants based on Thai tea, one with lemon and the other with milk. Both lovely. Blai had to have his favourite Pad Thai (£6.95, with pork) which was beautifully presented under a lacy omelette veil. It was very good and had well-balanced flavours though the pork we ordered it with was a bit tough. I
Highly recommended!
One of the finest Thai restaurant in the UK. All dishes were absolutely delicious. I am particularly impressed by their Yen Ta Fo as they use the Morning glory which is the authentic ingredient for the menu (some places in London use other veggies). The prices were reasonable and service were fair.
Only one con here was that their squid was so sticky. I thought they used the frozen one which cannot complaint given price.
Addie's Thai Restaurant served wonderful authentic Thai food and drinks. The service was fantastic, especially in terms of planning a surprise for my aunt's birthday. Excellent choice for family or group gatherings! Strongly recommend to make a reservation; otherwise, you'll have to wait in queue for about 20-30 minutes.
I love this restaurant! I have been here many times with friends and families and never disappoints. Lovely food and fast service. The food is surprisingly spicy for my untrained tongue. Only managed to take a photo of the seafood brandy, but the green curry was also delicious. The milk tea is also 👍👍
Authentic Thai food.
Crispy pork, Yentafore and Steam sea bass with spicy and lemon are amazing!
I also love raw marinated blue crab spicy salad with special fermented fish. It’s very strong flavor(spicy-sweet-sour).
If you’re looking for authentic Thai cuisine, Addie’s Thai Restaurant is absolutely the place to be. Pad Thai Prawn and Mixed are so delicious, Soya Noodles is my favorite, Suki Nam prawns has it’s perfect tangy and spicy kick, sateh chicken is simple yet addicting, spring roll is crispy on the outside but soooo juicy inside. To my surprise, their iced coffee is one of the best coffees I’ve had in London.
Their service is excellent. Staff are very attentive to customer’s needs despite being so busy.
I love this place, their food, and their service!
Went to this place because of tiktok recommendations. It did not disappoint. I would say if you are deciding to go, to book in advance as you could end up waiting. We were lucky enough to get seated right away. Both ice drinks were delicious, I would recommend the Milky Way. I also tried the tiktok famous raw marinated crab and it was yummy but definitely spicy. As Thai restaurant goes in London this is one of the better ones. Prices are decent for London.
The prawn tom yum and pork bbq grill was amazing. Pad thai was average but overall it is very authentic and very delicious! Really worth a try.
I had the tamarind chicken, it was phantastic!
My new favourite Thai dish!
The service was verry switched on and fast, despite being very busy.
Good prices too!
Highly recommended!!!
Thai food generally in London isn’t great, but this is one the better places I have been to outside of Thailand. It was actually recommended to me by a Thai when I visited the country 4 years ago.
I pretty much only get the crying tiger and the som tam, but they are both delicious.
Servers also really kind.
We had a really good experience dining at Addie's ! Very authentic flavours and level of spiciness, fast and friendly service. The raw crab salad is to die for, and they give a generous quantity too. Loved everything and can't wait to come back !
