Love the Place
Amazing Service
Fan of Cocochan
Love always
Thank you for an amazing night
Huge fan of this place! Its like a little escape from the crowd outside and taking a dip into Asia through the PanAsian cuisine!
Absolute fan of the cocktails, the prawn and the lobster!
Cocochan always amazes me!
Highly recommended!!
The vibe of the restaurant was a little inconsistent ambience-wise from dim moody lighting to a stark white clinical sort of room
I would recommend sharing a range of small plates and dishes with friends in order to try a range of things. To drink, I had the Miss V Mocktail (delicious, would recommend). Tiger Prawn Tempura w/ Chilli Mayo (so tender! would highly recommend, not enough/too good to share); Prawn & Chive Dim Sum (really enjoyed), Chicken & Ginger Gyoza, Chilli Squid, Octopus (wasn’t to my taste, a bit weird). For dessert a Salted Chocolate Butter Fondant w/ Popcorn Ice Cream (Yes to dessert! This was lovely)
P.S. I tried one of my friends’ sushi pieces here and it was so good plus I’m not a sushi fan... so that was a pretty good sign :)
We had delicious dim sum here, beautiful flavours. We found the service to be obliging, when we asked to change tables soon after sitting down, there was no problem. The service continued to be of a high standard throughout our meal. The food was delicious, my partner who is none to keen on his vegetables, had three helpings of the seaweed salad. We would go back again.
Set right in the middle of st Christophers place this Asian restaurant fulfilled my need for Thai and Japanese food. Would definitely recommend for a quick fix for an Asian craving
Very good location for simple meal. The fusion sushi was good. The lobster and noodle were too salty. If it were made less salty it would be great. The octopus was not chewy and was soft?
By the way the virgin cocktails were nice.

When I think of a Pan-Asian restaurant, I often picture a chef on a unicycle juggling a variety of sharp knives, scalding pans and slippery ingredients. At some point, something is bound to go wrong, and certain dishes and sub-cuisines are bound to thrive at the expense of others. Whilst this is certainly the case at most Pan-Asian restaurants, Cocochan is one of the few that manages to do justice to the very concept of Pan-Asian cuisine itself.
We visited this place in 2011 when I was just newly married. And I visited it again after 6 years..
I'm a vegetarian whole loves oriental cuisines..
Cocochan isn't sprawling with vegetarian options but their Thai curry and Vegetable fried rice is extremely tasteful.
We had the mushroom gyoza dimsum and chilli garlic edamame which Very good.
This time we visited Cocochan with my 4year old LO and the Srilankan Waitstaff ( unable to recollect his name)
was very very accommodating to prepare a vegetarian stir fried glass noodles from scratch and it's not on their menu..
Will be reVisiting Cocochan next time we are in London
Was a little sceptical to go here inspire of hearing all great reviews but finally decided to go there one day and face my fears. A great place to grab some drinks and dimsums. Must try
Was unsure how good this would be but had a fantastic time sitting in the twenties themed bar and being brought delicious cocktails. So nice to not have to waste time choosing what to have, queue or jostle at a bar and it was really good value as we had five cocktails each by the end. All drinks were delicious and we never sat with an empty glass. Highly recommended. Will be back!
One of my favourite places in London (halal) to dine in! Really cute vibe at James Street and great location (2 minutes away from Selfridges on Oxford Street).
Their prawn tom yum is really good, better than the chicken one in our opinion. Their starters are much better than the mains (try: korean bao buns, dragon roll, salty edamame OH and the Tiger Tempura 🍤).
For their mains, their green thai curry was okay but their chicken pad thai was good. I would say, stock up on the starters because they’re so worth it 🤤
Absolutely spectacular. I’ve been here multiple times and they’ve never disappointed. Halal restaurant, pan Asian cuisine. The Mocktails are incredible, such unique flavours. Sushi is so cutely presented and the flavours are amazing. Popcorn chicken was seasoned so well and tasted great. The Bento boxes were so scrumptious. Would highly recommend booking a table, restaurant is usually busy and rightfully so. Customer service is so friendly and attentive. Such a wonderful experience and fantastic food.
Maybe the best Japanese food I've had in the UK (though I haven't tried that many places). A bit pricey for the portions but the food more than makes up for this with the quality. Food, drinks and dessert all superb and a nice atmosphere, with outdoor seating adjacent to James St.
Note on service: If sitting outside, don't sit next to the street as the staff may forget about you (both my and the couple next to us struggled to get their attention). However, I moved inside and immediately got very quick and friendly service (especially after a lovely waitress came on shift and was very friendly and helpful, forgot to get her name to compliment her here).
Overall, nice experience! My friends and I came to celebrate a birthday. We ordered a bunch of sushi rolls to share. My friends recommended the Unagi Dragon Rolls. There aren’t that many vegetarian options so I had the Pink Garden and Vegetable Gyoza to myself. For cocktails, I would recommend Payback, because it was really refreshing. We brought a cake ourselves to celebrate but were charged £20 for the staff to store and bring the cake out. It was a bit unexpected, but we should’ve called in advance to enquire. Oh well. Something else that was unexpected was the changes in the menu. The one we saw in the restaurant wasn’t exactly the same as the one available on their website. On another note, the restaurant has a nice atmosphere and nice interior design.
Great food and lovley service too, First time visiting and I must say I loved it! The sushi was great and the cocktails were amazing! Will definitely be going back very soon!
It is amazing place for food and the sushi was very delicious am sure i will come again and i want to thank the staff was amazing with us and they are very professional ( ali , elina )
Our favourite pan Asian restaurant in london. Absolutely recommend the tempura prawn starters and the black pepper beef with the Fried rice. A true delicacy 😍
Very nice food, great atmosphere and service. Lunch set menu is quite reasonably priced, main course potions however are quite small. Drinks are very good. Loved the sushi and drinks but the steak could have been a little better. All meat is halal.
Relaxing place to go out with your friends in a summer day!
To start off, the vibe of the restaurant is very cool and chill. Dishes are very well presented.
Probably the best sushi and black cod dumplings I’ve had. Essentially, this isn’t a very student friendly place to go, even with the student discount. Otherwise, I’d encourage others to give it a go :)
