I have been twice now in a short space of time. Both times I got the sirloin a la Capricorn because it was good. Both times the steak was cooked as I had requested. Chips are nice too. No complaints
Went after seeing a talk at Freemasons Hall and had a terrific meal of Welsh Rarebit and Steak Sandwich as we were not super hungry. Love the setting and staff were super friendly.

A neighbourhood gem, The Bountiful Cow is neatly tucked into a lane near Holborn tube station...It serves excellent comfort food, reasonably priced, with very big portions..
Their club sandwich is easily the best in London.. The huge bounty burger that they serve is a meal in itself and will keep you full all day. Try the 'outstanding' sausages with mash... juicy and delicious. End with the creme brulee or my favourite - pistachio icecream with raspberry coulis..
This is simple, hearty comfort food at its best!! The service is friendly and quick..
Loved this place.
On the outside it appears to just be a pub, however its one of the best steaks i have ever eaten. Both had fillet steak and sides. Great sauces. Great triple cooked chips,
Good reliable restaurant that does steak (in case you couldn't tell from the name) really well but without the prices of the fancier big-name steak places. This is good food at a reasonable price. The bounty burger is excellent value and a particular favourite and you really can't go too far wrong washing it all down with a side of chips and some hearty red.
An amazing find off the main road in Holborn. Highly recommended and the food was excellent.

Best steaks in London. I've been going here for nearly 17 years. Service is second to none, and the food is always amazing. If you want a good steak, excellent wine and beer selection, look no further. The Bounty burger is also amazing!
I can't rate this highly enough. That was simply the best meal out I've had in many years.
I came here from a random Google and boy I'm glad I did.
From the perfectly seasoned tomato and mozzarella salad to the unbelievably tender medium rare steak, then the generously portioned cheese board and port, this meal was exquisite from start to finish.
If only they had a better stock of bitters this place would be unbeatable. As it is I've already recommended it to several friends and I've not even finished my cheese board yet.

I visited yesterday, with two clients for lunch and we all went for steak. I had the garlic prawns for starter which were huge, with a medium rare t-bone for mains.
Super reasonably priced, especially if you consider these guys are around £3-£5 per steak more than Miller & Carter, with a quality and experienc3 that is easily 10x better. Having dined at the likes of Gaucho's and various others, The Bountiful Cow wipes the floor with all of the competition.
Table booked for dinner after a sightseeing day in London for myself and my husband. We ordered the Cote De Boeuf special to share which was cooked to perfection. Great service, great food. Can’t comment on atmosphere as it was only us.
This place serves great steaks! There’s also outdoor seating with heaters; which is hard to find in this area. The steaks (and side dishes) are delicious and not overpriced. The staff are really friendly, giving the restaurant a great atmosphere. This place really is a hidden gem, tucked away on a quiet side street. Highly recommended.
Off the beaten path awesome eatery. This USA chick was worried but, It has a relaxing atmosphere, cool ambiance & provided great service. The food was savory. Portions were just right. Super satisfied.
Had the best prepared rib-eye during our London trip. The meat was tender and full of flavour. The burger was excellent as well. This place is definitely worth a visit!
Amazing atmosphere beautiful food I just can’t put into words we had steak chips I’ll let my receipt to decide what we had overall 10 out of 10 the staff were amazing friendly and it’s a cosy venue I will be visiting back definitely
