Sophisticated and chic - which means pricey. Traditional restaurant that serves a pretty good breakfast. The service is really good and very personal. The traditional breakfast was prepared very well with all the grills. The eggs, sausages and bacon were done to perfection! I will go back if I want a private lunch or breakfast with pizzaz and class! If not you could get similar for about half the price in terms of food quality, options and taste!
Excellent menu, simple with a lot of flavors, very well done Cecconis team. The service was a second to none, very attentive and super fast, looks like they are spending a lot of efforts to maintain the standards. I have been to Istanbul Cecconis and I must say, they are so similar except that they service Pizza in Istanbul and they do not have on the menu in London. Other than that, all was perfect and will definitely be back again.
Well let me start by saying our bill came to R1600 for a bottle of water, two carafes of White House wine, a bolognese, and a ravioli.
I could probably re-enact the feeding of the 5000 back home for less.
Little bit of a mistake with our reservation, but they managed to give us a table outside, together with the usual car fumes.
Noisy inside and kind of reeked of garlic. So, in the end, I was quite happy to sit outside and people watch.
As for the food, what a delicious bowl of bolognese. Yummy as bolognese should be. In fact I can confirm that even on a quick flit to Rome, this was definitely the best I had, had.
Sadly it was a once off, as each time I visit the city I have to try something else.
Go enjoy, if possible ask for a window table so you can entertain yourself with the comings and goings in Mayfair.
No photo's for this review, we'd already gobbled up the food, before we realised we'd eaten the evidence.
Lucky me, a client took me to dinner here and I got to be wined and dined in real Mayfair fashion!
Cecconi's is a real treat in every way. The decor and ambiance manages to feel very lux without being overly serious! The green chairs and white table linens are distinctly Cecconi's!
I had the seabass tagliolini and a glass (ok like a bottle) of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo. The meal was thoroughly enjoyable. The main dish was large, delicate and filling. The wine was superb.
For dessert, I had some sort of a chocolate truffle/log thing that was firm to the touch but melted the moment it hit your tongue. The clotted cream was also a great touch!
Service was exceptional. Our waiter really knew his way around the menu and made excellent recommendations to my dining companions.
Overall, I hope to be invited back, because on my salary, I can only afford to look through the window!
A packed restaurant at Early dinnertime on a Saturday suggests that the place is good or the place is fashionable. Often the two are mutually exclusive but at cecconi's they seem to combine.
For Mayfair the food prices are not outrageous, most mains are around £16-£18, but the wine list moves very rapidly through the thirties and into the £40s.
Crab ravioli was excellent and packed with shellfish- though the 'large' size seems small!
The salmon was a good sized And cooked on point.
We shared the £9 cheese board(recommended)
The room is very buzzy and the diners are smart without being stuffy.
Service is attentive and friendly.
Two main courses, one cheese, Still water and a £32 wine came in just under £100.
Great Atmosphere and Food. Sophisticated yet casual. Great food and atmosphere. Lobster pasta is excellent as is the Milanese. Very much recommended.
Cecconis. Buzzy Italian restaurant, charming staff, delicious food. Sit at the bar and eat dreamy crab ravioli.
Cecconi's gets most of the ingredients spot on. You are welcomed by some very attractive ladies who guide you to your tables where a devilishly handsome waiter ensures that equality is maintained. The decor is understated yet elegant. The service is attentive but not too overpowering. The food is simple but tasty - nothing too showy - Italian food that hits the spot. The clientelle seem to reflect the mix of St James's - everything from celebs to anonymous financiers, from "ladies who lunch" to the wealthy shoppers from New Bond Street. My main complaints are that it can get too noisy, especially at night, to hold a conversation and that the tables are too small and too close together. However, there is a table tucked away that suffers from neither of these and they know I like it...
...one of these institutions that consistently draw Londoners and jetsetters alike into its beautiful Venetian inspired art deco style dining room. Dining at Cecconi’s is always an event, whether it’s for a casual brunch or formal dinner. On our latest visit we were meeting some friends for Sunday brunch, on what was a beautiful sunny day, so the dining room was flooded with natural light. To start we ordered the Calamari Fritti and Beef Carpaccio to share. Both were exceptionally delicious and light, just enough to warm our tummies up for what was next. For our main dishes, we each ordered something different, but still managed to have a little tasting of all the delicious offerings on the table. The Lobster Spaghetti was not my favourite as I felt it could have used more tomato sauc e ( à l a Scalini on Walton Street) and the lobster serving could have been more generous, but nonetheless i
Cecconi's, the perennially-popular trattoria on Burlington Gardens, is so bloody good that since my recent dinner there I haven't stopped raving about it,
Lovely place opposite of Royal Academy of Arts
Nice upscale ITA food
Quality of food is top class except one dishes which to me only is a bit salty
Drinks and environment are awesome.
Great place to hang out with friends or business casual dinner.
Service is very good and helpful
In general, good place to come if u can. It’s pretty busy today Thursday night
Price is $$$ but I believe it worth it so far in London Mayfair area.
Very friendly staff. The atmosphere it's 4 not because of the restaurant but because of the clients's not responding to others when they eat - meet talking very loud even my voice it's very loud. I try to keep low as possible. The food was very good and prepared with options as per the card menu.
The decor was really nice, I really liked the green chairs. The food it was also very good. my only complaint will be about the waitress. She was not friendly at all, looks like she wasn’t taught any customer service skills. and at some point during the dinner she disappeared and nobody approached us to see if we needed anything or to bring the check. I guess it was the end of her shift.
Wonderful food. Wonderful service. Service of staff and restaurant atmosphere make a visit to this restaurant worth it. Tirmasu was a tad too sweet for me but delicious nevertheless. I love the atmosphere of this restaurant. An enjoyable experience overall that is well worth a return!
My favorite Italian restaurant in London. Very busy as it is also a trendy place in the center of Mayfair. The food remained consistently at high standards for the last 15 years … spaghetti lobster, veal Milanese, calamari fritti, and profiterole are my favorites.
Nice meal, we ordered quite a spread and each had a bit of everything as we wanted to try out a lot of the menu. My highlight dish was the veal and tuna mayo, that was new for me and I really enjoyed the taste. Ham was excellent. Everything else was okay and left satisfied.

went for breakfast on a sunday morning.
got delayed by a few minutes because of tube issues. tried to call them to advise I'd be circa 10 mins late- no answer. with that said, they were perfectly fine and made no drama at all.
very upmarket but not intimidating vibe. spacious, didn't have the feeling other tables were too close.
food is excellent. small issue with the order. I had asked for a ham & mushroom omelette, but got a ham & cheese one. the waitress did hurry back & caught me before I started. I hadn't noticed at that point that it was incorrect. didn't wait very long for the correct omelette.
staff were nice enough, and attentive, without being too intrusive.
a little pricey (to be expected) but overall a good experience. will go again.
After few years since my last dinner at CECCONI’S London I want try it again
The food was ok also the service
Only the vibes was missing compared to my last visit
A place to see and be seen kind of vibe. But if it’s not your crowd, food is still really good. I love their eggs and salads (especially the trout, eggs and green beans)! Service is good and friendly but the hostess have a bit of an attitude. Must go with the place.
Best egg Benedict in London. Excellent Espresso. Superb service by Staff. Nice ambiance. Convenient location for Bond Street. Prices good for the area. Reception needs to be more accommodating.
