Having visited Olives on several occasions before when catching up with friends who live in the Gloucester Road area, I was delighted when an event took me to that side of town again! The food was delicious - crispy calamari, one of my favourite lasagnes/lasagnas (I take lasagne/lasagna seriously, and a magical creme brûlée - lavender and white chocolate, a winning combination. The service was friendly & polished, and the prices while fairly high, were nothing out of the ordinary for this part of town. I will be returning! Ps lots of great wines on offer too - I loved the chianti!
White table cloth setting.
Slow service but not bad.
Outstanding food!!! Singaporean cuisine!
Legendary - as good as it gets
• The Laksa. Wish there was more broth. It was oh so good.
Loved - must order again!
• Nasi Goreng ***
• The chili oil ****
Liked - could do again
• Dim sum platter
• Malaysian chicken curry - chicken was a bit tough and curry was thick and gelatinous

The Bugis offers a fusion of Singaporean, Malaysian and Chinese cuisine on the ground floor of the Baileys Hotel in South Kensington.

We really did enjoy the food, all the flavours were great but I have to say it is a bit overpriced in my opinion and I'm not sure I'd pay that much. But if you are fine with the prices it definitely hits the spot and portions are decent too.

🚇closest station: Gloucester Road
a definite increase in standard from the previous Bugis which has moved to the Copthrone Tara. i would say a slight over pricy for the meal though very well done but I can head over to Leicester Sq for something less expensive but equal in quality. nonetheless the place is good for a catch up and chat. also super convenient in terms of being next to Gloucester tube. i got the nasi goreng and a dish of vege. You can see the menu too.
My favourite dish was sichuan aubergine to eat with rice! Other dishes I had was also good sambal sotong and pak choi. The Singapore Laksa also tasted decently good as locally from Singapore.
One of the best restaurants in London! My must-to-go every time im in London! Laksa is the best outside Singapore!
Very nice traditional Singaporean/Malaysian food! Good value!

The search is over. Having lived and worked in Singapore in the late 90s, we knew what a real hainanese chicken rice tastes like. And for >20years we have struggled to find an authentic Singapore restaurant. Enter BUGIS St! I cannot fault their food, service and location. Topnotch!
Great singaporean food! Went recently and the staff were friendly as well as quick service.
A good place to grab some authentic singaporean foods !
One of the best place to have authentic SG / MY food in London. Highly recommended Hainan Chicken Rice and Penang Char Kway Teow.
Price is very reasonable even located in a hotel.
I have visited here once before when staying at The Bailey's Hotel.
This time I visited but stayed elsewhere unfortunately.
The food was very tasty just like last time. Generous portions and brought out quickly. Drinks are a little expensive but it doesn't put a dampener on the experience.
I will continue to go back.
