We have always been big fans of the ETM brand for many years, and have been regulars at The Aviary. We felt that our last few recent visits hadn't been to the standard we expected, but after our weekend visit, they are definitely back on track. We stayed over at the Mont Calm, and had breakfast in The Aviary. 100% the best breakfast we have had there, both in customer service delivery and the quality of the food. We ordered from the A La Carte rather than the buffet and it was superb. Having said that, we did dip into the buffet to have meats, cheeses, fruits and salmon, and it was clear the food was great quality. The new breakfast Manager, Maria, is very hands on and demonstrated her excessive knowledge in the Industry....a very welcomed addition to the team. As it was an unexpected glorious day we decided to stay the day. We negotiated one of the new pods and spent the day drinking cocktails served by Louis. He made me one of his own takes on a rum punch, deliciously garnished with nutmeg, which we named "meet me in St Louis". The pods and the ambience of the rooftop is a winner, certainly the best they have had to date.....it really does feel christmasy and Laplandesque - clearly a lot of investment has been released to get to this standard. We stayed for a late lunch and had the lamb and the cod from the A La Carte menu. Superbly cooked and once again the quality of the meat and fish was clear. I get the impression who ever is responsible for F&B is sourcing top notch supplies reflected on what is delivered on the plate. Thank you to Florin, Head Chef, for the great food and also your time to speak with us. As ever a big shout out to Robert (Papi) & Dwayne who looked after us on the Saturday night. Also a big thanks to the Manager, Justina. She works extremely hard, is very engaging and clearly cares passionately about service delivery and the ETM brand.....another good find by ETM resourcing. Based on this visit, and based on the current Team, who after all make the experience, we will be booking for a winters night in one of the pods. Well done ETM for getting back to where we know you should be.

GROUPON DEAL.. OR SO I THOUGHT. I saw the deal advertised on Groupon, which I thought was an amazing deal until the bill came. I think this was falsely advertised. Bottomless Brunch for £120 sounded amazing. Myself and friend had to pay another £100, which was unexpected. However........ the brunch was really, really good. It was truly bottomless. The drinks kept coming, prosecco and bellinis and mimosas. So many varieties. You can't fault it. The staff were nice and friendly. FOH were sweet and made us feel at home. GROUPON, DO BETTER WITH YOUR DEALS.

Aviary Rooftop it’s a very fancy location with stunning views in central London. I went there for a birthday party last Monday. We were sat down as soon as we arrived , menus arrived , flowers in water and everything, very pleased with the service. For a restaurant with starters between £16 and £25 and mains between £22 and £65 we were expecting a little bit more knowledgeable staff. A few waiters were at our table, starters arrived quite quickly while restaurant was pretty full to capacity, we waited around 40 minutes for our mains , asked for it several times, by this time it was just us and a few small tables inside. Waiter didn’t knew the menu , we need to point exactly what we want, food arrived , of course uncooked as waiter didn’t asked for the steaks how to be cooked , food sent back and so on. No interest what do ever that the lady at the table , my friend was celebrating her birthday. After she received the bill and refused of course to pay for the service charge they came with a few cookies and few candles to say happy birthday. Not sure what happened that evening, I guess staff issues, not a lot of good communication between them, not a bad experience but not a great one if you know what I mean. I will definitely go there again for the views and quick drinks. Visit them if you are around .

This is a beautiful restaurant - perfect for a business dinner / lunch given it’s location and great service. I had their tampura artichoke for starters and couscous and feta salad for lunch. The watermelon in the salad was a very delicious addition. I do wish they had more veggie and vegan options. Otherwise, it’s a decent restaurant.

Can't express how great this place was for me. I messaged them in the week before to say I was coming with my girlfriend to propose. From the minute I walked in to the minute I left, the service was 10 out of 10. They had a plan to help me with the proposal with a private area ( a large bird cage) in the garden overseeing the skyline in the background with drinks and a plate that ask her to marry me. The food was excellent, and the drinks kept on coming as we did bottomless brunch with the chefs making the eggs and delivering it to us. The staff were friendly, chatty, and went above and beyond to make that this was one of the best moments of my life. Thank you so much......she said yes!

I celebrated my birthday with a lovely dinner joined by 13 of my nearest and dearest! 💖 They were accommodating when I needed to change my booking time to go to another venue after. The food was nothing short of amazingly prepared, it was beautifully presented as well. The cocktails were also wonderful! The view from the outside rooftop was the perfect addition to this experience! They even brought a plate with happy birthday written on it and a sweet treat! ✨ My one flaw was that when I asked our waiter for the bill, he disappeared for 20 mins and I had to get up and ask another waiter. I normally wouldn’t be upset by this because I understand the industry as I’ve worked in it before, but I told him I needed to leave for another booking. Otherwise the evening was wonderful and the experience great!! 10/10 recommend!

A very big thank you to the lovely security man who worked on the rooftop lounge, in the late afternoon on 23.6.23. He welcomed us with a lovely smile and intended to make sure we was accommodated at the rooftop Lounge in the evening. Also a big thank you to the night staff, unfortunately did not take names, hence me adding dates. Also the morning staff on 24.6.23 names include Justina, Fatima, Angela, Aisha and Jamil. Breakfast was nice and staff was kind and willing to attend to your needs. Place was clean and tidy. Would come again. Thank you.

I find rooftop bars in Lindon normally have slightly standoffish staff. Not here (at least on the night we visited! Marta made us feel welcome and really looked after us. Combined with possibly the best view in London, friendly service and nice drinks, you can't go wrong. It is more expensive than your average pub, but it is also a world class location with top notch staff! Booking essential but if you visit the city don't miss out on this place

Nice little rooftop bar. Friendly atmosphere. I walked round the building as the entrance isn't obvious. It's in the montcalm hotel. Bit pricey for what it is though. *I see the Aviary had replied. The issue with finding the restaurant is that Google maps takes you to the back of the building and not the entrance. Check your address on Google.

We visited the Aviary Rooftop recently in a large group recently for drinks and a bite to eat. We had an area set aside for us and we were seated quickly with our food and drink orders taken promptly. The atmosphere was relaxed and the waiting staff really went above and beyond to accommodate our group. The drinks were a touch slow to arrive but it was to be expected with the bar being very busy. The bar was in the middle of the floor with dining seating to the right and more relaxed seating to the left. To top it off, there's a large outdoor roof terrace. Even on the slightly dreary day that we visited, the views of the city were outstanding!

I really loved the winter igloos. The mulled cider and amaretto sour was on point. We had the cheese fondue which was delicious!! We also ordered the sweet and chilli squid, which in my opinion was the best I’ve had especially when you eat it warm (don’t let it get cold). It was such a nice intimate experience and you’re not disturbed too much by staff. There is a minimum spend of £100 but I think it’s quite easy to hit. I would definitely go back and try the other foods and for drinks. Amazing.
