I've lost count of how many times I've eaten here. It's one of my favourite places! The food is generously portioned and well priced. The cocktails are really good too and the staff are super friendly. Always a bustling atmosphere, great for dates, double dates and with groups of friends.
Recommended by a friend and had a wonderful time here. Authentic Mexican , great tasting good and friendly service. Would definitely recommend this place , situated in the vibey Covent Gardens , London. Definitely worth a visit if you are in London
Loved the ambiance, the interior design and the set up. There was live music. I ordered Tacos Al Pastor and it tasted really good. The combination of dried chilli, onions and pineapple with the meat was excellent. The presentation was as good. The side corn tortilla ks also great. However, when it’s crowded it gets really loud and annoying. The service was fast. The drinks were good. Wish it was cheaper though.
This should be one of the top places in the Mexican cuisine. Stone's throw from Covent Garden tube station it is really easy to get to and let friends know of. They provide complimentary nachos and salsa sauce on arrival and keep on refilling till your food arrives which is great. Check the spice levels as the salsa is quite spicy. Their cocktails are large and good, we had the pomegranate margarita and sangria and trust me one is enough. For food we ordered the ensalada mexicana which was a lovely salad with brilliant Mexican flavours and prawns, burrito especial, char grilled aubergine and sunblushed tomatoes enchiladas, smoked chicken quesadilla and classic nachos with sour cream. There's nothing to complain about the food really and it offers good choices for all-round, drinks, veg, non-resident etc. Definitely up for another visit.
Cafe Pacifo is a perfect place to go with friends who are used to seeing you pig out! The food is tasty and plentiful! Expect a massive portion...that you WILL EAT ENTIRELY.
My group of 6 waited for under ten minutes to be seated, and we received excellent attention from our waitress. She took our drink order and recommended we do the margarita jug rather than individuals. The jug is perfect for a big group, and we ended up doing two rounds.
For my meal, I had the steak AND chicken fajitas. The chicken was tender, the steak was juicy, so it was a lovely combo! The fajita comes with something like 5 tortillas and loads of fillers-guac, roast peppers and onions, sour cream, rice, beans...you name it!
Decor-wise, this is a fun restaurant. Bright colors, boisterous...clearly a great place to go with your friends. And..if you are like me, don't go on a date here as your partner will think you are a massive glutton.
If you're a Mexican food fun and delicious margaritas, it is the place to visit! Very crowded after 6.30pm and especially on Fridays and Saturdays. Really gives you the feeling that you're in somewhere in Mexico for couple of hours. Very kind staff, big portions, high quality food and yummy margaritas. Also, very close to the Covent Garden station, just 1-2 min walk. Love their chips and salsa sauce as well which is served as treatment. Shredded beef burrito and pomegranate margarita are the best! Give it a try and believe you'll love it.
Great atmosphere and friendly staff we are certainly coming back there. Good experience and good value for money. The only disappointment is the guacamole its lack of flavour and spices as well but the nachos and salsa are great.
This is a great place to meet up with friends and drink cocktails, the free chips and dips are a bonus!
However I personally don't enjoy the food menu here.
it arrives too fast for it to be done from scratch, so if you want a great atmosphere to hook up with friends then this will be perfect!
Cheap, fast and reliable. Good cheap, fast tex-mex. Not amazing, although I did think the street taco's where good. A bit more life here that some of the other mexican places around, and the staff were friendly. If a couple of beers and a quick tasty bite is what you are after then I would recommend here, if you want a more civilised night out taking your time then find somewhere else.
Great place. Fab food, great margaritas and a brilliant atmosphere. The mango Brie starter is lovely.
I often come here whenever I find myself in central London.
The restaurant is tucked away nicely off the main street so you don't have too much foot traffic walking past the large windows and the decoration inside is nicely themed.
The food is good, but probably not quite perfect. I would say consistency is sometimes an issue, it's never bad, but just how good it is can vary from time to time.
There were no mocktails on the menu that I saw on my last visit, I often like one to make me feel like an adult without having the responsibility of being one.
I've never eaten better Mexican food in my life 😍. Really good service, it was speedy too as requested because we were off to a show. The staff were also lovely and I loved the restaurant's whole decorative vibe.
Excellent Margaritas, but the food could be better and overpriced; also it did not include something so basic for Mexican food like guacamole, pico de gallo, etc. If you wanted these you would have to buy them separately! The atmosphere is really cool and decoration too!
Great chill vibes and food portion were huge and delicious! Personal favorite of ours was the beef nachos! We ordered the pulled pork, duck & pork rib tacos and all were great, especially the juicy pulled pork. Margaritas always pair well with tacos. Nachos not as crispy can be skipped
The place was rocking with awesome live Mexican music. The cocktails were amazing, the service splendid and the food to die for.
The only items on the menu we ordered that could've been better were the guacamole and the fish tacos. The fish tacos were totally avoidable. I would say skip the seafood and go for the meat. It just melts in your mouth.
The only true Mexicana experience in London in my humble opinion. It really felt like I was transported back to my travels to Mexico City. Can't wait to be back!
Was happy with the food. The meat of the short rib "tacos" was as described, so tender that it came off from the bone. The reason why i gave 4 stars is because it's actually tortillas instead of tacos as said on the menu. Just a description discrepancy but i think they should update it. Other than that, it was very tasty. And the drinks menu was extensive too. Love the margarita i ordered. Would go back to try different things.
If you like Mexican food you will love this place. Just off Covent Garden it is central but you wouldn't necessarily stumble across it. Booking highly recommended. Also great cocktails.
Been here many times and always good food. Service always consistently good. Never had a bad experience. Need to always book though. They get very busy. Good options of vegetarian food.
Amazing quality food, I used to come here with my father when it first opened. Really the best Mexican sit down restaurant I can found in London, I don't bother going anywhere else to be honest. Miles ahead of most. Tres Leches cake is really really good here and we love the Jarritos. Last time I had the Degustacion El Pacifico I believe. I was really happy with the end result. Looks and presentation weren't the best but taste wise 5 stars. Really over the moon. Thanks guys.
Great vibes and delicious food. Small error on our order but staff rectified it and we ended up with a free dish due to wrong dish being served.
