Very cute bakery that serves a vast array of delicious baked goods at the best prices, optimal hygienic conditions and with a really friendly and professional staff as well .
Lovely place in Ealing Broadway as well as in Soho, relaxed ambiance and polite staff.
Tried their sourdough bread which was good too
Small, cosy place in Soho. Just a few seats inside and 2-3 tables outside so I wouldn't recommended for a big group of people. They have a good selection of breads, cakes and pastries (even savory, just a gluten free options are missing). Coffee could be better (I had a cappuccino, quality of the milk wasn't great). Overall it's a nice place to visit for a quick coffee and snack/desert. I will probably come back there again for a cup of tea or to try some pastry. #bakery #soho # breakfast #london #UK #memories
Gail’s Bakery is an artisan bakery chain in London. I’ve been to two of their stores and had some mixed results. It’s not the cheapest thing either. Gail’s Bakery do know their bread and they do a most excellent job of it. The name comes from Gail Mejia, a baker who introduced the founders to the delights of world class bakery. No longer confined to the reaches of top restaurants, you can get your fix of gourmet breadstuffs at a Gail’s near you.
Food was good, had ham and cheese croissant, come for the coffee tho. Girl knows what she is doing. Can sit outside in the alley or inside. Small but big enough.
Great spot to have breakfast and start your day in a good mood. All the pastries look delicious and homemade. Very good capuccino as well! I loved my blueberry muffin and the scones were great too!
I love going here during lunch to grab something fresh. They also do salads and juice. Their chai latte is my favourite. Service is great but when it is busy make sure you get in the line, people go crazy :P
Cute place in Soho, as always, everything is good, tasty and well-prepared. Had the beetroot and goat's cheese salad which was lovely, really well seasoned and spiced. My friend had the ham and cheese sandwich which 'tasted like biting into an old cheese factory' - a good thing apparently. Muffins contain a bit too much fat for my liking, coffee is decent. Wifi available, so you'll see plenty of people working here. Excellent service.
I was attracted to this bakery by the bright interior and abundance of breads. I was initially going to get a tart when I realised there was a small breakfast menu. They were out of shakshuka, so I had the sweet corn pancakes and an iced latte. The pancakes were delicious and simple and flavoured perfectly. The coriander on top made the dish. The iced latte was also perfect.
Hot chocolate: Hot, frothy and not too sweet. Luckily I was sat in the window which allowed me to see that I had a chin full of chocolate dust before I made a prized prat of myself.
This lovely bakery is right next door to the Corner Bedford Hotel and is amazing! If you’re staying at the hotel or in the area you really should call in and see what they have to offer.
I had an amazing breakfast of porridge, honey and blueberry’s and a cinnamon bun; it was truly beautiful food! I washed that down with a lovely mocha coffee.
You can choose to sit in with the spacious interior making for a comfortable and enjoyable experience or takeaway if you’re in a hurry. They also do deliveries to selected postcodes to home or office; get your orders in!
The atmosphere and aesthetics of the bakery are lovely and the staff were super friendly.
Based on my experience, totally recommend!
Had an almond croissants and I prefer softer croissants, not very satisfied with the texture of it. Very chill and aesthetic, I will definitely visit again and try other pastries!
Lovely bakery with great coffee and even better food. This particular location is quite small, but during our short visit in London we went to GAIL’s 4 times despite not wanting to repeat spots - their pistachio rose cake is that good. Their savoury items are quite tasty and filling. Their pricing is 10-15p cheaper for takeaway than dine in (at other locations).
We got a couple of different things—a savory scone, cinnamon roll (more like a cinnamon popover), sausage roll, and spinach and feta roll. All were pretty good, though I'd say if you could only get one, go for the scone! We also got a loaf of rosemary and potato sourdough, which was great! But their coffee is not as great—the latte was something I wouldn't get again.
This self-service cafe boasts an attractive display that caught my attention. Despite my initial desire for a cinnamon roll, I opted for the savory spinach and feta roll as I had yet to have breakfast, and it did not disappoint. The coffee also exceeded my expectations in terms of taste. However, it's worth noting that cash payments are not accepted here, and the interior space may be considered limited for some patrons. Overall, my experience at this establishment was satisfactory, but there may be room for improvement in terms of payment options and spatial capacity.
This is my absolute favourite coffee place to go to when I'm in the office. The staff are so wonderful and always greet me with a huge smile and a lovely chat now I've become a regular here. The coffee is always delicious and you can't go wrong with the baked goods. Every one I've tried has been a delight and I can't recommend this specific Gail's enough. Special shout out to Astrid who is my favourite human ever and never fails to make me smile every day.
Spoilt for choice. Massive selection of breads and pastries. Coffee is from Union. Always busy for breakfast lunch and tea. The quality is amazing. Better than Paul's imo. This location has had a refit and looks nicer. Also had the opportunity to get a 'too good to go' discounted bag at 6pm and was amazing too. Highly recommended. Please could there be more baguettes for purchase as they're always sold out by 10am.
So yummy Almond choc croissant, first time I had it. So crunchy. Shout out to the staff, went extra mile. And mum loves their hot chocolate, seems the only place she wants for her hot choc 😀
Fantastic bakery and breakfast spot!!! We travel a lot and I usually make a rule to not go back to the same place twice so that we can try multiple places. We went to Gail's twice on our short trip and I have no regrets. I was impressed by everything I tried. The almond croissants were phenomenal and the small little honey cakes were our favorite. If you prefer savory, the slider was packed full of flavor! Honestly, there wasn't an item, that our family didn't rave over. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. All-around great spot to grab breakfast and coffee.
Absolutely gorgeous, so glad we stopped in. Lovely coffee, enticing pasties, will have to come back to try more!
