We came here with the work crew for an impromptu lunch. The original restaurant was in Paris and due to its popularity has expanded globally in London and New York.
This is a steak and frites restaurant therefore not so suitable for vegetarians or vegans. The guys all had steak and frites with a classic green salad. The steak in their eyes was superb.
I ordered their vegetarian menu option which was a cheese board which had a lovely selection of Camembert and Brie cheese. The best part of the meal were the frites the best ones I have had, ever!!
The service was brilliant but a few things that don’t sit well with me. I guess this is a cultural thing as the French are not much into ketchup. They do not serve ketchup with their fries. Also if you want butter for your bread rolls you can forget it! It’s expensive here at an eye watering £25 per head for steak and fries.
I’m glad I have been once but I would only recommend if you like steak and fries!
Great food service and atmosphere. True to the Parisian branch. the steak was cooked to perfection. we capped off the meal with a creme brulee which was delish!
Good steak and frites restaurant in a nice setting in Marylebone. Been there a couple of times: The staff is friendly and the food is usually good and the steaks cooked to perfection! The only bad thing is the wait outside especially at peak times.
Steak cooked to Perfection, and fries were great and had a different taste as compared to the Fries you usually get at restaurants . I couldn't stop myself from eating - one of the best steak and frites I've had. Absolutely loved it and the service was very prompt. Was absolutely worth the wait outside .
Is it a good idea to take a girl out on a date to a fancy steak place and have to queue for 30 minutes outside in the rain ... Oh yes! The place was packed and buzzing but the service was fast and good. The salad was very nice. The fries hot and crunchy. The steak was tender and perfectly cooked. The sauce, as always, to die for. Best thing was the look on my date's face when the waitress came round with the second serving... I was secretly hoping for a third.
Quite an unusual place. You arrive (may have to queue), sit down and are then asked if you would like any drinks (beer or wine), and how would you like your steak (rare, medium etc)? - and that's it. No menu to choose from, just a set menu of salad to start, steak and chips to follow.
I found this hassle free process a welcome change from the usual routine of going to a restaurant, and the food was great! No marks for presentation but it was incredibly tasty. You do get a dessert menu if you ask, all desserts look good.
Service was good, prices are very reasonable, and the setting is perfect. Be careful as it can get very busy and you can't book - I've been told the queue can wrap around the building.
Now one of my favourite places in London.
Yum yum! Its so simple! Just one food item on the menu. Delicious sauce! Crispy fries! Great beef cut! You can never go wrong with entrecote!
As part of my birthday present Mr. A took us out east to Shoreditch. Our relationship is built on the most solid of foundations – a mutual love for cheesy and ridiculous ’80s films, so an outdoor screening of John Hughes’ Weird Science seemed particularly apt!. The last time I went to an outdoor cinema in the UK was a few years ago when I went to see Ghostbusters at Spinningfields. It had chucked it down then, but that was Manchester – surely London in July would be a better bet? While I had dressed up and looked fairly glamorous (in an attempt not to look too scruffy next to the fashion forward yet casual Shoreditch crowd) the elements were against us, so for most of the evening I ended up looking like this:

The sauce is very good, you keep thinking of the recipe and when you asked the waiters they just smile at you not telling a damn word :)
The only problem is that it is really crowding especially around 8 pm on weekends. So it is very difficult to chat with friends because of the loudness. Apart from that delicious food !!

So, anyone who, like me, likes their steak rather under than over and is getting tired of the whole 'the least we can cook it is medium rare' bullsh*t, head to Le Relais de Venise.
But with the food being so good and the whole thing being VERY good value for money, you'll most probably have to queue. Though chances are I'll be in the queue too, so maybe we can have a little chat then?
Amazing food and experience at L’Entrecote. Came here with a group of friends at around 1PM and were able to get seated for a group of 6 within an hour. The service was amazing - once we were seated, the waitress immediately came to our table to confirm the prix fixe menu and the drinks. Food was served incredibly quickly on hot plates, and they were consistently refilling our plates throughout the meal. The food was great and cooked to our preferences (a perfect rare and medium set of steaks) and the sauce with the fries and meat were great. This place does seem to have a lot of hype, but based on reviews, atmosphere, and service I think this is a great restaurant to
visit in London!
Great food and a buzzing atmosphere.
There is usually a big queue before the doors open. I started queuing at 5:30pm for the doors opening at 6pm and managed to get seated in the first wave of people.
The only issue is that they are definitely filling the restaurant beyond the original intended capacity as I very much felt like I was in a tin of sardines. As I was seated I was essentially locked into place as the table was pushed right up to my body, meaning if I needed to stand up or go to the toilet I had to push my table into the walkway so I could squeeze out. However with how popular they are you can’t really blame them for trying to get as many customers seated as possible
Tasty food, queue was not too long but I had gone on a weekday lunchtime.
Place is very busy, decent service and there are two servings of the steak and fries!

Bustling, quick and great service. £29 for a basic salad, steak and chips. £26 for a bottle of house red. Whilst the steak and fries were great, the sauce was a bit unusual - it's got curry flavour in it. Traditionally, this dish should come with peppercorn sauce. You do get a second smaller portion served and whilst its a decent amount of food, it's not the best value and wouldn't queue again for 45 minutes. Note that the plates are actually quite a bit smaller than a normal sized dinner plate.
Saw this recommendation on an Instagram post. We visited on a monday night arrived 9pm and queued around 30-40 mins. The steak was delicious and i got 2 servings of steak with their secret sauce though personally i think I can get that same good quality of steak for less than £29 elsewhere but for the experience of trying it, why not right? They will ask you on how you would like your steak - it can be rare, medium and done (theres no medium rare option but if you want that go for medium). They also have a house wine. If you are dining for two, you can get the half bottle worth £13. Aside from good steak, we also ordered chocolate cake and it was good coz its not too sweet and overwhelming.
I also would like to commend the waitresses. They are so quick to serve , knowledgable to guide you with the meal options if you’re first time dining there.

This place is very much hyped up and it lives up to the hype.
The first dinner sitting is at 6p and if you don’t arrive by 5:15-5:30 you will probably miss it and have to wait 90+ minutes in line.
They are extremely strict with requiring your whole party to be present when getting seated.
The food steak and frites are served in two portions and the meal starts with a very nice salad and bread.
The options for the steak are medium rare or blue, and they don’t do in betweens. The rare and the medium we ordered looked like they were cooked about the same.
The sauce is the difference maker at this place and it’s really delicious. You can ask for additional sauce while you’re eating.
We also had espresso and some of the desserts which were also good (profiteroles and cheese plate).
Overall it’s worth the visit if you don’t have to wait for 90 minutes.
A great steak house.
Unfortunately It’s not possible to book a table, so we were waiting for 35 mins to get in.
They serve one meal with french fries & green salad as a starter.
The house wine was great and the meal was soooo delicious.
The place is small and the tables are very close to each other.
The dessert was great!!
We really enjoyed the meal.
Trick is to arrive 30 mins before opening to be in the first round of guests. Didnt manage to get in at the first round but only waited 30 mins to be seated.
Steak was cooked to perfection and we enjoyed the fries alot.
you have to try this place!! we got there at 12.15pm and already there was a queue but we managed to get in on the first round of seating 😊 the steak was sooo delicious (we got rare) and the sauce was divine. the fries were perfect too, and so happy they gave us seconds though we couldn’t finish haha - salad and warm baguette was perf too!
