Tooting has a lot of pepole blowing its trumpet of late and it’s being hailed as the new go to foody destination. I wrote about this more when I visited the recently opened Chicken shop, and all of these thoughts came back to me when I visited the much hyped Meza. I think it was on twitter that this place was recommended to me and since then I’ve heard only good things. From a small restaurant in Tooting Bec, Meza has expanded to include another small restaurant, this time in Tooting Broadway. It’s a Lebanese restaurant with a small menu to match its size. But good things come in small packages as they say.
Eaten here about 6 times and even ordered it for a dinner party at home! Great food and always enough to go round. It is always booked up so do so in advance. They have 2 sittings and sometimes in the first 7-9 they rush you a bit to make sure they are ready for the next but overall great food and great price.
One of the most bizarre and yet delicious hidden gems in South London.
Booking is a MUST, the place is super small and if you're late to book, you'll be stuck outside in the wooden hut (which looks a huge amount like a sauna). It's tight and you walk through the kitchen but I feel that justs adds to the charm.
We ordered from the set menu and the food was unlimited, amazing value for money and all was amazing. The halloumi bread was a highlight, as was the baba ganoush and the meat selection was second to none!
I left with a full belly and a smile on my face.
Can not recommend a trip here more highly. Amazing food and an unforgettable experience!
Recipe for success.... Wow, simply wonderful.
We'd walked past this tiny restaurant so many times. Only around 16 covers. Always looked packed & a little cramped. We eventually booked it for a special occasion. (Advice : Book ahead to avoid disappointment) They have a 6pm - 9pm sitting and a 9pm onwards sitting.
We were Meza newbies. The menu was short but interesting. We were advised that for a couple, it would probably be best to share four starters and one main. We added a Tabbouleh to the order with the main course. Each dish came out as it was ready, not all at once. Like another reviewer states, its like getting lots of little gifts.
We had 2 bottles of Prosecco with our meal and the whole bill came to only £67. Amazing value. (Beware : CASH ONLY).
A - MEZ-ING. Seriously great food. Hummus is divine, my kids devour the chicken with the garlic cream in seconds and the little minced lamb meat balls are sensational. It's great place for kids, perfect place for girlie lunch or early evening eat because you can just graze and talk and the food comes haphazardly to the table like little gifts and the whole atmosphere is chilled and friendly. As long as you don't mind sqeezing between other diners (I don't) it's the perfect place. The service is excellent too.
Had a late lunch on a Sunday and decided to opt out of traditional pub food. Stumbled on this place online and what a find! The food is cooked fresh and excellent value for mobey. The staff welcoming and very helpful. And all this at unbeatable prices!!! Can't wait to go back :)

Wonderful food, lovely atmosphere & we were luck enough to be seated on the chef's table!! I will be going back if I can get a table! Honest, simple, fantastic food all washed down with a Lebanese wine!
Great addition to Trinity Road!. Tiny space - only 14 covers - but go now! Super fresh food, charming service and good value. Authentic Lebanese dishes nicely presented and with generous portions.
Visited Meza fairly regularly since moving to the area and will keep coming back. The restaurant is cozy but generally has at least one table empty. The staff are very friendly and service is amazingly quick considering the size of the kitchen. Particularly recommend the hummus with lamb, the falafel and sambousek,but it’s all good.
A great eating experience, we arrived as a group and had a blast. The team here are really friendly and the food is amazing.
We had the set menu for our group, which meant we got a wonderful selection of items to share and try. Even the picky eater enjoyed this selection.
Cozy and comfortable dining experience - almost feels like you're in your own living room.
Had the hummus, falafel and lamb meshwieh and vegetable rice. They even gave us a free small desert at the end. Would definitely recommend!
It’s been always a great time every time i visit this little gem. Love the staff they are very friendly and welcoming! Especially the Lebanese girl who took my order she is really helpful and cheerful. The food was so tasty ordered lots of meza from Hummus to Tabouleh, Kebbeh, batata Harra etc.. to enjoy at home in this cold weather. Everything was perfect 👌

Came for dinner on a Friday night with my partner. Food was excellent, service was great, and prices were super reasonable. If you’re looking for a no frills Lebanese spot, this is the one. Will come again!

Another great meal at Meza. So happy to have this place so close to us. I recommend: moutabal (baba g - aubergine, like humus), feta salad, soujouk (lamb sausages), jawanah (chicken wings), prawn rice. It is SUCH a tasty meal. I was saying to my wife that it really is 10/10 for flavours. And so reasonable. The smell of the grill is beaten only by the taste of the food. I have had the main dishes before too but, honestly, the tapas ones are the best. Wonderful food and nice people. A little gem.
