Good food. Great ambience. Good location and the prices are quite reasonable for a indian restaurant in central London. Ordered the thali and it’s best thing you can eat after a long day if you’re very hungry.
Ps: my friend said the chole bhatura was similar to haldiram’s which I think is quite a compliment.
Amazing place in London. I love the food. can’t wait to come back here again. Congratulations to the staff.
Nice restaurant, casual restaurant. my go to Indian in London. Recommend the chats. Really nice service too. Highly recommended if you are in the area
Awesome staff , very nice kite decoration , manager of the restaurant is very helpful
Great Indian place with a beautiful ambience and atmosphere. The prices are reasonable, the service is prompt and punctual and the staff is highly professional and friendly as well. Highly recommended.
Excellent food, kind and friendly staff. Quaint little location at Covent Garden. Chicken Saffron Korma and Nilgiri curry are dishes worth trying. Service was a bit slow. Recommended!
This is one of the best place if you are craving for Indian food, one stop for hunger. Their biryani is simply amazing and the big thali that they offer.
The chicken 65 and samosa chat are tasty, but quantity is very less.. Biryani is also very delicious.
I been here with my friend for masala chai
My friend’s love their masala chai a lot..
even we also ordered the food from
Home when we are so busy while settling down to our new pg... we used to used Indian breads , paneer.. and their dahi chaat is absolutely mouthwatering.
One of my favorite indian food restaurants in London. The food is authentic, service is very good. We ordered dahi chaat, Paneer gravy and dal makhani all of which was very good. The portion size is on lower side but worth a visit if you are looking for good indian food.
A Flavorful Feast with Aromatic Touches
My dining experience at Masala Zone in Covent Garden was a mix of delightful flavors and a few missed opportunities. The restaurant's ambiance was vibrant and inviting, creating a lively atmosphere. The staff was attentive, making sure our dining needs were met.
The food was undoubtedly the highlight of the evening; each dish was a burst of authentic Indian flavors, expertly prepared and presented. The menu showcased a diverse range of dishes that catered to various tastes, from mildly spiced to intensely flavorful options.
However, I noted a few areas that could be improved upon. Firstly, the absence of background music created an unusual noise of the crowd, diminishing the overall ambiance. Music could enhance the dining experience, adding to the vibrant atmosphere the restaurant aims to create. Additionally, the lack of traditional Indian mouth fresheners and hot tissues after the meal misses an opportunity to enhance authenticity and post-meal comfort.
From the outside it reminded me of a doll house, however, once inside and you smell the different aromas and you see the staff busy with serving food. If you were not hungry before entering you'll certainly be when your sense gets intrigued .
My friend ordered for both of us and they were delicious and full of flavour, however, his only comment was that the cheese nan was to cheesy. I say it was perfect!
The only thing is that I think the table was to close to each other, it felt that you were at dinner party for 8 people rather than two.
As a walk-in family of 4 we were given a high table as all normal height tables were booked. This was not really a problem, the atmosphere, decor and vibe was amazing. The food came promptly, the poppadoms were so tasty even without any pickles on. My wife's chicken casserole had a slightly strange aftertaste that wasn't to our liking. My daughters butter chicken although delicious was too spicy for her but some yoghurt calmed it down. My lamb stew was truly outstanding as a flavourful experience, my only gripe was too bits of fat and grisle but the lamb that was there so truly melt in your mouth stuff. I would 100% return but make some requests when ordering next time. The staff, and there were lots of them, were attentive and efficient. All in all a very pleasant experience.
Amazing food!
Loved the vibe and food. Tad bit on the pricey side, therefore can't enjoy it as much as one would like to, but that being said, the food was lovely.
The cocktails are great, each with its own unique twist.
The decor is lovely too, (although a tad heavy on the puppets) would love to see some traditional Indian musical instruments.
Staff were helpful too, and catered to my needs.
Will definitely be going back!
Excellent restaurant with a good menu for adults. Many vegan and vegetarian dishes.
Children's menu was limited and most items on it were sold out. Only disappointment was you could not ask for a dish to be made spicier, however they did give some chopped chilies on the side.
I cannot score or recommend this restaurant highly enough! We arrived after leaving a nearby restaurant in a rather disgruntled state following a poor experience. From the moment we stepped in (without reservation) we were treated to fabulous hospitality. Staff were attentive, caring, patient and charming. The food and drinks were unlike any Indian restaurant we have ever experienced! Everything was cooked to perfection, using fresh herbs and spices, making every dish taste authentic and exceptional. As a person who does really like dessert, both of us found the desserts amazing - the ginger Ice Cream was sublime! We took our time and at no time felt rushed. Just about every member of the management team came by to check on us at some point, which made us feel super special. Loved the experience and will definitely be back soon. Thank you.
I had chicken butter, lamb rogan josh, plain rice and garlic nan bread.
Chicken butter was silky, sweet and full of flavour, whereas rogan josh was simply tasteless, received no flavour at all.
Rice was fine, but nan could have been cooked a bit more. The service and atmosphere were good though, otherwise food deserves 3 or 3,5 stars.
Dinner here tonight, the place is buzzing.
Lovely food cooked beautifully and delicately spiced.
Chocolate brownie with ginger ice-cream for dessert amazing.
The staff are lovely, attentive and professional. Highly recommended.
The service was really great, the waiters were helpful and polite. The food was good, however I would have preferred more spices in the biryanni. There is a great variety in the menu. A bit expensive, but the portions are quite big. Overall a nice experience, and would probably go again.
An authentic Indian restaurant near the Covent Garden underground.
The place is carefully designed and the atmosphere is pleasant.
The dishes are delicious, varied and have strong flavors as expected.
The service is professional and courteous.
A wonderful experience...
