Recommended by our veggie friends, we try Real Greek. As a portuguese couple, we enjoy all the flavours of the food, very similiar in some aspects and different (in a good way) in others with our food. All the ingredients are fresh, so we can enjoy the genuine flavours of the Mediterranean cuisine.
It was my first time experiencing Greek cuisine in London and it was a pleasant experience. The staff was friendly and the ambiance of the restaurant had a Mediterranean feel to it. I had their Greek flatbread, lamb meatballs and med chicken. I preferred the lamb meatballs over the chicken dish because it had a nice sauce which went well with the bread.

The Real Greek at Bankside, the flagship 170 seater location on the banks of The River Thames, is thrilled to be able to bring the Cookoovaya experience to London and welcomes chefs Spyros and Vangelis Liakos, Pericles Koskinas, Nikos Karathanos and Manos Zournatzis – ten pairs of hands and eyes – to cook up ‘Wise Cuisine’, a four course gastronomic feast to excite the taste buds.
This is one of the most crowded restaurants on Friday night so I would recommend booking a table. The ambience is truly Greek, the live music is an added treat. The eight course meal for two covers most of the good options.

I was in the area and I suddenly remembered this restaurant and because I'm an Halloumi addicted I decide to have my lunch there.
The location is nice, accurate and the personnel is professional. We were two and we ordered pitta bread (that was kind of a yummy Italian focaccia, hummus (so delicate) and of course grilled halloumi (wow paradise) with grilled pepper. Finally we ordered falafel (really light with not to much garlic).
For lunch and for two person was enough
The service was really quick and efficient
I think that for a first Greek restaurant experience it has been great and satisfying.

The Real Greek was my first attempt at Greek cuisine - and a glance at the menu told me it wasn't much different from what the Lebanese outlets offered, only lesser options. It had the same hummus and falafel bread and halloumi cheese skewer - and even taste-wise they were hardly different from the ones I'd tried before at the kebab shops & chic Lebanese outlets in Notting Hill. The food was just alright and nothing too exciting for me. However, what really was the deal was the location of the restaurant and its ambiance. The light Greek music, accompanied to the view of St. Paul's and the sprawling skyline of City was hypnotic enough for the rating. The addition of a slice of orange in my Fanta too was something of a marvel, in addition to the view. And so was the presentation of the three-course lunch meal (we were being frugal). The htipiti was spicy and delicious, the potatoes were bland but the spices on the table augmented the taste and the flatbreads were mind blowing by themselves. For an experimental connoisseur and a novice to the cuisine, I would definitely and surely recommend The Real Greek because of the overall dining experience! Great work!

I had never tried Greek food before, but as my wife likes it and it was her birthday, we went to "The Real Greek" at Riverside to have my first experience with this food.
The restaurant looks beautiful, with amazing views from the River Thames, clean, painted in white and blue and with a lot of space.
As soon as we arrived, we were immediately assisted by one of the members of staff who took us to a table from which we could see the river.
It was a little bit difficult to me to choose something from the menu as I didn't know what those dishes were, but thanks to the waiter who assisted us, I must say that my first experience in a Greek restaurant was more than great.
I had a chicken wrap with Greek mustard and a bowl of rice with olive oil and tomato that was delicious. My wife went for cod and chips and fried breaded halloumi with honey and garlic.
For dessert, caramel cheesecake that was also delicious.
In conclusion, a great experience from all points of view. Delicious food, great customer service and a beautiful place.
While I had no problem with the quality or taste of the food, I did have a problem with the prices they were charging for such small portions. The people serving us were charming and well-mannered, but the food did little to satisfy my appetite. Regardless, do not let that stop you from trying yourself.

Greek food is always amazing so I am a fan of the chain but this outlet just doesn’t live up to the chain’s high standards.
Dishes to try for sure:
1. Baked butter beans and spinach (V, GF)
2. Vine leaf rice rolls (V, GF)
3. Orange cake (V)
But what I didn’t like about the outlet-
1. Overpriced for very small portions
2. No set menu on weekends (others have it)
3. Flies and ants on the tables
4. Washroom needed a cleaning
5. Indoor lighting and decor a bit dark
I’ve been here with my family for a quick lunch and let me say what a nice surprise!!!! Super friendly and very fast service, amazing value for and extremely good quality food. The Aperol spritz as a Venetian top notch.

Incredibly friendly and kind staff, amazing service, great atmosphere. It's not as expensive as it looks from the outside. There’s several vegan options. Unfortunately dogs are not allowed as a rule, but negotiable.

Was served by the very friendly and kind Sunny. He had great suggestions and made sure my friends and I had a splendid evening. The food was excellent as usual! The grilled chicken in tzatziki was to die for.
We used our Unidays student discount which is a great offer on weekdays. Can’t wait to be back on a sunny day!
A chain of Greek restaurants that are consistently good. Tapas style, so plan to order a few plates per person. Overall, the food was tasty and a good value. It's definitely worth the stop.
Another visit to the Globe means another Real Greek meal after the performance. Great food, reasonable £prices, excellent service, and great views of London from our covered table on the embankment. Enjoy.
Loved their Halloumi popcorn! Food was delicious. Some halal options as well. The serving is a little small for the price.
