Ladbroke arms is one of my favorite pub in London. I like the beautiful street, the old fashioned setting, the cute terrace with gorgeous flowers and the amazing atmosphere. The food is classic with a twist and ingredients top quality. The rib eye is the must have but everything I have tried is always yummy. And special thanks to the fantastic staff. I will come back again and again...
Endroit magnifique, avec une sensation de liberté et de simplicité, le meilleur endroit pour boire un verre ou manger à Londres
Amazing place, sensation Liberty and simplicity, the best place to drink or eat something in London
Had lunch at “The Ladbroke Arms” today and everything was delicious!!!
The roast beef was so tender it literally melted in one’s mouth. The vegetables and roast potatoes were good and the Yorkshire pudding was exactly how it should be, nice and crisp when not soaked in gravy.
We ended the meal with a great sticky toffee pudding.
I preferred to have mine with vanilla ice cream, as it is lighter than the clotted cream it came with.
The service was very good, quick and friendly.
I highly recommend this place!!! Carol B.
Great variety of gin (and even a pretty expansive variety of tonic water and fruits), delicious, indulgent menu and buzzing atmosphere. I really recommend the pork belly, and am still dreaming of the sticky toffee pudding.
I had been looking forward to dinner at The Ladbroke Arms. Over the summer, while we were living in our house on the same road, we’d visited often. Mostly for drinks, occasionally for supper. It’s an attractive pretty pub, somewhat off the beaten track, on this quiet residential street. I’d eaten well here previously and enjoyed the lively atmosphere, the mostly youngish, trendyish local crowd, the flower filled hanging baskets in the small streetside seating area, the retro glass water vats with cucumber and lime, the cosy bar and the friendly service. It’s the sort of place I happily recommended to visitors from abroad who sought a typical Notting Hill experience and wanted to retrace the steps of Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant in the famous 1999 film of the same name, without the tourist crowds of nearby Portobello Road.
A friend recommended this for a Sunday roast and so glad he did. Cute place. Bigger than it looked. Nice patio with umbrellas
We didn’t try any starters, other than the warm bread and butter brought to the table.
I went with the chicken roast dinner. I was pleasantly surprised that it was a chicken breast. So easy to eat. I liked the pig in a blanket (here - bacon wrapped sausage). I am not sure if I liked the Yorkshire pudding or the roasted potatoes more. Both were great to dredge in the mustard spotted gravy. So so good! I enjoyed the quarter of cabbage. The bread sauce isn’t my thing but the horseradish was great!
Husband went with the beef and said it’s the best roast he has had! A good portion of mostly mid-rare beef with potatoes, cabbage, Yorkshire pudding, and carrots.
Despite being very full, I had to try the sticky toffee recipe with butterscotch sauce and vanilla ice cream. Quite delicious. I like the almost burnt flavor.
Service was good. Friendly and helpful. The Bloody Mary was spicy and full of fresh veggies. The after dinner cocktails sounded good. Next time.
The best roast dinner ever! The vegan wellington is so delicious - it makes you wonder if it’s made of meat, so moist and tasty! The roast potatoes were fluffy and crispy, everything was so fresh! The Eton mess with basil oil was to die for - so perfectly balanced and not sickly sweet! But the highlight of our visit was the phenomenal service we had from Magda - who went above and beyond to offer us a late Sunday roast and apologised profusely for the last slice of wellington (which was huge) and gave me cauliflower cheese as an alternative! One of the best roasts we’ve had but the service was just amazing!
Fabulous spot for a Sunday roast, but be sure to book. When we arrived this weekend they were only taking pre booked guests.
Amazing food, great service. Fish and chips were upper level, tasted flavorful, lite and filling. Highly recommend!!
Great food. We had the burger which was delicious and for starter I went for salmon which was a great choice. Overall happy but it was super busy and a bit too noisy for my liking but still gets 5 star
I was wandering around the area (yank tourist) and something directed me here. So glad I came. First I read my book in a sweet little window seat and enjoyed two perfectly poured pints of Guinness. Ended up staying for dinner and WOW. Had the artichoke soup (earthy and delicious) and the fish and chips - blew me away. The batter was so light and salty and crunchy and umami. Sauces and chips were perfect accompaniments. Even the bread and butter was soooo good. Place was cozy, authentic, and busy - international crowd but a lot of locals. The bartenders and servers were so nice to me, a solo traveler - they were totally accommodating and friendly. Adding to my list to come back!
This pub is so good, I’m leaving this review from my table. My roast hake on a bed of white bean mash was fantastic. The orange fennel was a touch of brilliance! Our table also ordered burgers and fish and chips which were excellent. 10/10.
This was the first place we ate at when we arrived in London. Cool little place staff was friendly. The food was great. I had fish and chip the fish was Hake fish which I've never had before. Definitely have the sticky toffee. Our server Alice was full of London knowledge and told us of some of the gems besides touristy things to see.
Great atmosphere in this gastropub.
And I just had the best fish & chips after 10 years in London! Will definitely come back to try the rest.
What a wonderful, quintessentially British experience. We stumbled in around 3pm on a Sunday afternoon after a visit to the Design Museum and stroll through the Japanese Gardens in Holland Park and this cosy pub was exactly what we needed. The food was exquisite (I think the best pub roast I've had in 20 years of London) and the service impeccable. They made a point of not rushing us out the door once we were done. Top marks Ladbroke Arms!
