The Bull is the closest decent pub near to me and we’d eaten there before but not on a Sunday and not for a roast. I’d booked in advance and made a note to explain we’d need a high chair and baby friendly seating. On arriving our table was in a good position. The food service was very quick and the food itself was good. Drinks, deserts and waiting time for the bill were all swift as well. I’d highly recommend The Bull for a Sunday Roast and for any other dining occasion.
The Sunday lunch was amazing!! One of the best around .. this pub is a fabulous pub, friendly staff, great food, looking forward to the summer and heading there for drinks in the lovely beer garden .. would highly recommend!
Absolutely loved our lunch at The Bull. I can’t decide what I liked best, the atmosphere, the food or our lovely waiter David. The food was outstanding, baked Camembert was divine, pork and plum bangers and mash spot on and sticky toffee pudding sinful. But what made the experience was David. He was so friendly and funny and attentive, I’ve never felt so welcome in a pub. He kept us laughing with his quips when he brought the food to the table and was always checking if we needed anything else. Thanks for a fabulous meal David - we were only in London for 48 hours and you made the meal a great experience for us.
Delishious food, nice atmosphere and really great service both from the app and the staff within the pub - very attentive. They apogised if drinks took a little bit longer to arrive but were usually within five minutes of being ordered. We will return :)
Sausage roll, beef burger, mussels, chips, fries and brownie are all favourites. Ham hock terrine & pear salad were okay but quite salty on my last visit.
What a great place! Kind staff, lovely music and my lunch was outstanding! I had the peach/quinoa salad, and chips. What a great afternoon!😃
We went for a Sunday roast, all the roasts were mint.
Also a burger bar in garden. I went for the Lamb burger accompanied by the Ox Curly fries 👌
Top notch.
Great outdoor area, nice vibe.
Lots of drinks and cocktails to choose from.
The Bull on Streatham High Road is a bright spacious and friendly offering courtesy of Young's. The beer as expected is excellent with offerings both from cask and keg. A huge well fitted garden and an opulent dining area also add to the experience. There are many future drink connoisseurs playing and running around on my visit so maybe not for all, ok though if you don't mind a bit of young noise and you can avoid treading on them. A lovely place for a beer.
The chicken roast was absolutely amazing and very generous in size. If like me you also like the vegs part of the roast you won't be disappointed (no frozen bag of cauliflower/broccoli/carrot in sight!).
My only criticism would be there was not enough gravy- the yorkshire pudding and stuffing balls were quite dry in the end.
A great big gem of a pub, this establishment has been a leading light in the local area for a while now.
Clean, smart, friendly, with nice drink and food choices. This has been hands down my favourite pub in this area, for a good while now. Whats not like, great sports pub (not just football!) or a bolt hole for a quiet drink with friends and family.
The food is very good and not overly priced, the menu selection is good too with everyone able to find something to enjoy. The menu is changed often and they provide lovely bar food or nibbles too.
The look and feel of the nice outside space, is there to be enjoyed. But be warned summer evenings and the weekends can become packed, so book a table if you can. Id also recommend booking if your dinning with a group bigger than four, sundays especially as its a good family spot.
Overall a very good location and friendly service. Good not just for families, friends or a evening tipple, but also as enjoyable venu to start or end your day.
Also what's better than a nice warm fire in the winter with a good pint.
The best roast in Streatham area.
Fast and friendly service
Hot, fresh tasty food and fantastic atmosphere. Will be back!
Bull Streatham still remains the best. Very lovely food, great staffs, great atmosphere and nice wine. I always look forward to coming back every time.
Really nice outdoor garden. This place has vastly improved over the years.
It has lots of outdoor seating some covered and some in the open which is great. The covered seating booths also have timer heaters which is a noce feature.
Drinks are ok, cocktails were hit and miss.
Also really appreciate that they are open on Mondays.
And daving thest till last, you can actually get a fantastic sunday roast in Streatham common!
