Great restaurant, with superb staff and service, went for the Valentine’s meal what a treat, from the tasters that are brought up at regular intervals, to the superb fresh tuna carpaccio with caviar and the lemon puree and herbs salad which was just a taste sensation… the celeriac soup with lobster and tasty tarragon foam mmmm, and the main, halibut and beetroot was gorgeous, the wife just had Rib-eye steak which was perfectly cooked and sooo tasty. Could it get any better? It did the textures of strawberry with white chocolate and flowers left us wanting to ask for more, has to be the tastiest desert ever. We would like to thank the staff and management for spoiling us rotten. We won this meal as competition winners from Lycamobile, so we wouldn’t normally visit, would we go back? Yes 100%.

Japanese and Italian are not typically two cuisines you would think of combining. On paper they’re completely different! So I was really intrigued by the menu at Bella Cosa, an Italian restaurant with Italian management, but a Japanese chef! A few weeks ago I was kindly invited to a private dinner at the restaurant to discover how this unique fusion of cultures and food would work.

Once upon a time, there was a handsome young food blogger on a quest to find the perfect meal. He received an invitation to eat at Bella Cosa, an establishment to the eastern lands where the god Mammon ruled and the buildings reached to the sky. He was concerned that the journey may take many months but after consulting the oracle (Citymapper) it transpired that his destination could be reached by taking the DLR from Bank to South Quays station (approx 10-minute journey) then a 3-minute walk along Marsh Wall. Having established his route the journey itself was easy and there were even parking spaces available…Kentaro Torii is the chef at Bella Cosa, an Italian fine-dining Restaurant in Canary Wharf. He has worked at Michelin-starred restaurants including Bvlgari il Ristorante in Tokyo, El Coq, Marano Vicentino in Italy, Els Casals in  Barcelona and Keisuke Matsushima in Nice but still looks disarmingly young. I’ve eaten Kentaro’s food before at Bella Cosa and it is excellent, allowing him to bring his Japanese aesthetic to Italian cuisine with spectacular results, so I’m very happy to have been invited to try the spring menu. If a Japanese chef cooking Italian food in London isn’t a sign of globalisation then the ownership of Bella Cosa by Lyca Mobile, a Sri Lankan telecoms company certainly is!

I have come here several times with my family. the location is excellent, the structure of the restaurant is also excellent, which allows a beautiful view from the very large windows. I would define the food as very good, the pasta is fresh and it seems they do everything at the moment. The pizza is Roman style and is really delicious. the only down side is the service , every time i went i got the same waiter and he didn't seem to want to work . he wants everything immediately and seems to rush too . I highly recommend this place but be careful not to go there a few hours before the classic closing of the kitchen 😅

Very nice restaurant, lovely location and vibe. but pasta doesn’t feel freshly made like chains such as Vapiano. Lack the bite/ chewiness fresh pasta would have. Staff was attentive and friendly tho. Might try pizza next time.

The food was so good! I had the truffle pasta which was absolutely delicious. I also recommend the quatro formaggi and pepperoni pizza, so good! My friend also had the salmon pasta, so good too! And the Tiramisu as a finisher just hits the spot. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend!!

Second time going! Omg, it's stellar! Nothing but the highest compliments to the chefs and staff (shoutout to you Asmita)! The ambiance is so relaxing! I came here with my mom and sis! To try something new! The mocktails were amazing! My mom and sis had the feeling that they were lounging in the Carribbean beach's! As for the hot chocolate, it was so creamy and velvetine! Asmita, you're amazing! The presentation and attention you gave us was awesome! We'll definitely be back! 💓💕 The staff were so lovely and welcoming to us as well, my highest praises for you all. And highest compliments to the chefs for the meals. From the Mushroom Arancini (which my mom has been craving since our last visit), to the gorgeous cheesecake and tiramisu. Everything was perfect - the presentations, the flavours. Everything was made such such passion and love and I could not be more grateful for such a wonderful authentic Italian experience. We'll definitely be back for more! Much love, Bella Cosa! Please keep up the amazing work 😁❤️💓 Asmita, as promised! See you soon! 😁💕 Lyn and family xxx

Went by myself for a quick dinner after a very long gym session then it turned into an amazing night for a foodie like me! I ordered the swordfish carpaccio which was a bit icy to my taste. Told the Manger in a casual way who came to ask how I liked the food. He went to tell the kitchen and recommended I try the Cod Croquettes, and he was right! As shown in the picture, those croquettes were beautifully cooked until the outside is golden and crispy, and the inside is soft and sweet. Well balanced. For the main I ordered the seafood linguine and it is the best linguine I had tried in UK so far. The prawns, the mussles, the squids were very fresh and the texture of the spaghetti was cooked to perfection, with the source to die for. I had literally finished everything in the plates for the starter and the main, including the source, with a glass of Prosecco which also tasted nice. Then the lady who made me the Old Fassion which is not on the menu came to offer dessert so I asked for Tiramisu, as everyone else did. The portion was huge and despite I was so full up, I still finished it. Then the bill came with a 15% discount! The manager explained that was because I didn't like the swordfish carpaccio. What a nice gesture! The location is next to the Thames so there is nice river view as well. But for me, even if we only talk about service and the food, this is easily the best Intalian Restaurant in Canary Wharf. Highly recommended!

The food and atmosphere is amazing. From the riverside dining to the simple and elegant decor which compliments how great the food is. From starters to desert each dish has its individuality and exquisite taste! My personal favourite is the beef tagliatelle the flavours and its consistency was great. The fried octopus is a great starter and as a whole the cheese cake with strawberries was a great way to end the evening! Everything overall is really good and I will definitely visit again for more authentic and halal Italian food which was a great plus to its menu also having a vegan section and a wide range of drinks!

AMAZING FOOD! I went to this restaurant with my mom for her birthday on 6th January and we’ve been treated like royals! The food was so delicious (loved the arancini), the red wine was carefully selected to go with the meals and the entire atmosphere of the place was very good! My mom enjoyed her birthday surprise desert - the tiramisu, which is just heaven! I liked how the staff was looking after us - Teya and Meher constantly checked the table and if we enjoy. The best local place for any celebrations and/or casual dining, yet with very nice view of the harbour and Canary Wharf. Will definitely come again! Thanks for your efforts

Excellent food. A very nice relaxed restaurant with brilliant and attentive service, candlelit tables in the evening make the ambience perfect for a date too. Food is freshly prepared and well presented. Full of flavour and portions are good. A place I've been visiting for some time and will continue to do so. Well sized menu to ensure there is something to satisfy everyone's taste buds.

It was a great experience at Bella Cosa. We were so delighted to have such amazing food and the dessert was just mouth watering. On top of that their service was exceptionally amazing. Especially, thanks to Jimmy for treating us so well. I can’t recommend this place enough. Next time when we visit London, we will surely go there again both for their food and service..
