Great little hidden pub in the city. Perfect for after work drinks in a no frills environment. Mens toilets are falling apart but it's not a deal breaker for a pub of this type.

Great inner city inn. Nice booze at typical Central London prices but certainly enjoyed the evening

Great London pub, tucked away down an ally off the main street. Great selection of beers.Seats outside for any good weather.

My dad and I happened upon The Ship on a Wednesday in October after our tour at the Globe and just before visiting the Tower of London. It was a little before lunch and we went upstairs (tight nearly spiral staircase) for lunch. The main server was training a new hire, but she was incredibly attentive and helpful bouncing between us and him. My dad ordered the award-winning Pale Ale steak pie and accompanying Nicholson's Pale Ale. I had a vegan lentil pie and cider. Both meals were very filling and the server stopped by a few times, even as a large birthday party of local, older gents filled up the dining room.

Had booked for drinks only so can’t comment on the food. We had the whole of the upstairs which was great and everyone liked the space. Friendly and attentive staff from start to finish

What a gem tucked in between the skyscraper doted city of London. Great little place to pop in after work or just come over for pint. Pub manager Joe is the guy to have a word with about your choice of the drink. Pub itself has remarkable history. Well worth a visit.

Such a pleasurable find. Amazing to stumble upon an historic pub tucked between the skyscraper monstrosities. The staff were super pleasant and warm. Food was standard pub fare but delicious. Hope you make a backstreet diversion to this spot on your journey

Typical London pub, great local food options. We enjoyed a sausage roll and fish and chips.
