Born & Bred in north london remember this place as the waggon & horses pub, came here with very good friends last sunday for lunch, had the mixed platter. Fab delicious clean & being on a Sunday busy alive & kicking thoroughly enjoyed well worth it.
Love the food! Ordered platter for a family. Excellent quality, friendly staff, no concerns! Will come back again!
The food was delicious! Waiters very nice!
Generally super service, purely nice! Absolutely can recommend this place!
Amazing food. £37 platter fed 4 with loads left to take home. Absolutely delicious and next time we're in London we'll be going back.
Excellent value! Very good service. Food was delicious and there was lots of it. We all enjoyed our meal and would recommend this fabulous restaurant to all friends and family members!
Kervan Sofrasi at Southgate has became our favourite venue for our family gathering: birthdays, anniversaries and we have guests from other parts of the globe. The food is always freshly cooked, presentation is always WOW! and the staff are always polite, friendly and affable in manner.
Highly recommendable!
I’ve lived all over London and this is by far the best Turkish here. The lamb is unbelievably good. Go for the special if 2 or more of you are feeling brave but you’ll be taking some home. The turish bread, salad and humous comes as standard free starter and is epically good. Enjoy
We celebrated my husband's birthday last night at Kervan Sofrasi Restaurant in Southgate.
This is a very buzzy and busy Turkish restaurant over 2 floors!
Every table taken and people queuing to get in is always a good sign!
I have to say we were so impressed with the food!
Best Turkish i have eatern and portion size is value for money.
We will definitely be returning!!
Celebrated my mum birthday at the southgate branch yesterday. The services was great the food was fantastic. The only down fall is the parking spaces very limited.
I have been in this place twice now and very happy for the service, food is superb I will go back again.
Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. Clean and hygienic. Staff paying attention to details. Ready to help at any moment. Prices are decent and affordable. We had a shared dish for 2, which we paid £33 but there was such an amount of food as we couldn't finish it. Turkish food is something unique that I have always loved and enjoyed, and if there is a good chef who knows how to cook it, then the mix is amazing.
I recommend this restaurant and for sure I'll come back when I'll be in the area.
We had a breakfast with family. It was delicious and rich breakfast. If you are 2, order breakfast for 1, if you are 3-4 order it for 2. Because it will easily satisfy all. I strongly advice especially for those who like Turkish Breakfast. In addition it is quite affordable.
Amazing Turkish food! The adama kofte was so good I finished it in 3 minutes
They serve authentic Turkish food and we generally liked everything we ordered :)
The Lahmacun could have more lamb mince as toppings and thinner in crust.
The complementary “appetiser” they serve for every table was a big bowl of salad, a basket of pita bread and hummus. They were all very delicious 🤤
Iskender lamb was my favourite of all time and the lamb shisha was also tender and juicy.
All the food came in large portion even the starter🤣
We ordered 3 plates of mixed meat mezze plus salad and dips for starters, and it was all good. The service was friendly and attentive, so no complaints here. Would definitely recommend this place for family get-togethers.
Excellent service, we had really nice waiter. Ordered 3 starters on top we got hummus, cajuk salad and bread. Mains are very big portions.
One of the best Turkish restaurants in the area. Food is fresh, vibrant, and plenty of it. Service is superb, and the decor is great. Only challenge is no parking on the premises but if on street parking can't be found, 2 hours parking is free in Asda opposite as a last resort.
Went there for father's day. It didn't disappoint. They were packed with people arriving constantly. But they have plenty of staff. Food was amazing, staff professional and friendly. I will definitely be going back
Kervan has a charm and appeal that has to be experienced to understand, if you can tune out the fact that you’re just off a roundabout in Southgate, you could almost convince yourself that your dining experience is taking place in a distant exotic land. The menu is expansive and delicious, it’s consistent, and for the most part has a good separation of flavour and is beautifully presented.
Second visit here, staff are friendly and polite.
We were told that the seating inside had air-conditioning, so we opted to sit inside on a hot summer's evening. Little did we know that we couldn't feel anything and they just left the doors open, so that was disappointing. There were 5 of us, we ordered the hot meze starter and the sharing platter. It all came fairly quickly. We also got warm Turkish bread and salad on the house, but we ordered chips and houmous. All was lovely but towards the end, service was extremely slow especially when we were waiting for the Turkish tea, which is complimentary, not sure why, it wasnt too busy then either. But they were great in bringing the birthday cake out with a team of staff singing Happy birthday to the birthday girl. Beware that there are quite a few stairs around the restaurant.
Overall it was a pleasant evening, would visit again.
Fresh food, always busy. I have been a customer for past few years, been seeing the same waiters/waitresses last couple of years, good sign about the business.
Kervan is simply the best place in town for lamb chops and ribs.
The food was excellent and service was equally good. We orders 3 dishes for the two of us and the order arrived in much less time than expected, which was surprising in a good way as the restaurant seemed quite busy. There are dine in areas outside as well as inside and choice of dishes is great.
Tye waiters paid attention to us at appropriate interval. Food is halal for those it matters. Will surely visit again.
First time I came they were really busy, but the outdoor seating was nice. The second time I went I sat inside and service was much quicker. The food came quickly, free salad, bread and dip. The hot mezze was nice albeit expensive. The prices have gone up a lot which is a shame. The pina colada is nice the first time, but too creamy this time. If it was £30 a head it would be worth it, but pushing £35 a head not really. Free turkish tea at the end was nice though.
Loved it. The food was fresh, nicely cooked, and served quickly.
The atmosphere was great.
I've been to other branches but was pleasantly surprised with the experience here. I'm planning to come back soon.
Love the mixed grill sharing platters. Huge portions with a great variety. Incredibly filling! We always end up taking food home. Delicious
Great! Lovely and friendly staff. I went there for a birthday and they did make it special by turning off the lights and singing happy birthday 🎈 it meant a lot! Thank you team!♥️ One of my favourite spots to eat
