Such a delicious experience at The Joint in the bustling Brixton Village Market. Would highly recommend as a fun place to take friends/hangout and enjoy some fabbbb food. The pulled pork burgers are delicious, Mac n cheese bites equally so and the sweet potato fries are the perfect addition! YUM!!!

If you love pulled burger and messy food then this place is great! Generous portion sizes, amazing mac and cheese bites and a range of different things to pick from.

Definitely worth a visit whether you're a massive foodie or just wanting to grab some good food.

Headed to Brixton Village with my little brothers (who were down visiting for the weekend) in search of a tasty dinner, there's always somewhere enticing there but sometimes too many options! After opening up Zomato we decided to give The Joint a go and see if it lived up to its rave reviews!

We all opted for 16hr Pulled Pork buns though I went with the Asian Pulled Pork, whilst my brothers both had the BBQ, we shared a side of onion rings and some cheesey fries (not pictured). The meat was super tender and the portions were huge!

The Asian slaw was pretty spicy but so fresh and tasty and contrasted beautifully with the tender pulled pork, along with the super fresh brioche bun I was on to a winner.

The sides also delivered, chunky crispy onion rings with tangy BBQ sauce and shoestring fries smothered in cheesey bechamel; I'll definitely be back 😍

Definitely worth a visit when popping through Brixton Village!

Why, hello The Joint! I can't believe it's taken me so long to check this place out, but I'm glad I did! The Joint is located within the ever popular Brixton Village. It was a bustling Saturday night so I had expected a long table wait, which there was, but a pint of Streatham beer (which they sell) in the queue helped ease the wait.

And the wait was totally worth it. It's not a pretty eat, but the pulled pork burger was seriously good and bursting with flavour. A shout goes out to the cheesy fries, which is a must, and chicken wings peppered with scotch bonnet.

Starting out life as a popup in 2012, it didn't take long for The Joint to become a permanent member of the London restaurant scene and now number 2 locations strong in Brixton and Marylebone. It is at the Brixton branch (located in the charming Brixton Village) where I first had my taste of their sandwiches about 3 years ago and I've been a fan ever since. It is clear though that I am far from alone as it has turned into something of a Brixton institution (and for good reason).

The menu here isn't difficult to navigate and intuitively straightforward with a handful of mains supported by another handful of sides. Pick your poison and get stuck in. Will it be the 16-hour pulled pork? The shredded chicken? The beef brisket?
Maybe the decision isn't as easy as I've made it out to be...

After heavy deliberation, today belonged to the beef brisket bun with smoked aioli and bacon relish. It took one bite to confirm I had made to right decision. Deep, rich and insanely juicy, the brisket was slow-cooked to perfection and moreish. The savoury/sweet contrast of the meat and relish was unreal, held together by a bold aioli which rounded off a real party for the palate. But fillings aside, the bun itself is something to be lauded. Baked fresh daily, it is as full a brioche as a full brioche can be and is a meal in itself with all its buttery goodness. Good luck walking passed the shop during a bake and not instantly feeling hungry.

Moving on to sides, an order of the wings is obligatory. Whether you order the BBQ wings or the hot wings is irrelevant - just order one...or both! It is fried chicken at its best lathered with an addictive sweet sauce. No visit is complete without an order so don't miss out.

These days, you're spoiled as a diner when visiting Brixton with a pleather of choice to grab a bite. But after all this time, The Joint still doesn't fail to hit every spot and even some I didn't know I had. Make a visit.

The Joint serves amazing pulled pork buns. I'd end it there and let the photos below make your mouth water (unless you're vegetarian) but I've got so much to rave about this, uh, joint, so uh... go forth and salivate with me. They started in 2012 as a pop-up with the aim of serving 'fast food with a twist' and honing the chef-meets-baker concept to a tee. Coupla years later, they now have two shops in town: the first in Brixton Market and the most recent in Marylebone. Their meat is all free range (pork supplied by Ginger Pig nonetheless) and the buns are all made in-house.

Last week the man and I went to see Parov Stelar at Brixton Academy. It was probably one of the best gigs I’ve ever been to – the band were just amazing! Danced the whole night to great sax and trumpets. Also, Brixton is a great venue for a little person like me, as it’s sloped you can always see no matter where you stand. Always a bonus. We headed over straight from work and wandered to Brixton Village Market for some food. As we were walking around we heard tunes booming from a small place so we had to take a look. It smelt delicious and as we saw other peoples food we had to eat there.

Now, I'm not really a pulled pork kinda gal but this was a rare case of love at first (big) bite.

The BBQ pulled pork bun is made with brioche, 16-hour pulled pork, coleslaw, lettuce. It's heavy in size and heavier in flavour. The pulled pork is tender and flavoursome and the barbecue sauce is a good balance of tangy and sweet. The brioche had a slight sweetness to it which surprisingly worked well with the pork and it amazed me as it held everything together even when the juices oozed out and slipped down my arms.

Yes, it's quite mess to eat, but what a beautiful mess it is.

The Asian pulled pork bun is freaking amazing. Same 16-hour-cooked pork, but this time they've put chilli, coleslaw, ginger for an extra zing. I actually prefer this over the BBQ bun.

They're very generous with the pork so for £8.50 (£10.50 if you want to add some guac or cheese etc) this is seriously a fantastic bargain.

For the carb conscious, know that they do their fare in wraps for a relatively lighter meal (but you really have to try the brioche buns). I tried the BBQ chicken wrap and really enjoyed how juicy the shredded protein turned out. I rarely order chicken when I eat out but this was quite superb.

Sides (£4.50 each) are wrapped up in greaseproof paper which I find too good an idea. Ecological and economical, unlike those blue and white enamel hipster bowls that remind me of, uh, chamber pots.

I'm a sucker for good onion rings but have been dismayed with the selection in the city... until I had The Joint's version. Cooked to a fantastic hue of golden brown, these moreish rings are so crispy and not soggy at all.

The chilli riblets are fall-off-the-bone succulent and great. I thought the sauce could do a bit more smoke and a bit more heat, but I perfectly managed to finish a whole serving of this (and would gladly have another some time soon).

The hot wings, like the chilli riblets, could do with a bit more heat as well but I'm pleased to report these bad boys are big enough to claim their worth. Those chickens surely have been working out.

Overall, food from The Joint actually delivers more than what some "American BBQ" restaurants in town have promised and I'm stoked because it's all Brit produce. They're clearly pulling ahead of the game and I wouldn't be surprised if a third joint pops up in town soon.

Better run and have a bun for fun before I bore you with more silly puns. I highly recommend it.

The Joint is a brilliant find in Brixton market, perfect for anyone looking for generous helpings of delicious food all served up with a smile and a great vibe. The food was unbelievably delicious - I had the brisket and hush puppies (slathered in the most delicious BBQ sauce) and could have quite happily attempted a second. The staff were absolutely lovely and always helpful, despite our indecisiveness they were more than happy to give us recommendations. It's BYOB and the burgers are a very reasonable at £8.50 - they definitely put other similar joints to shame.
Brixton market definitely offers up some stiff competition, but I couldn't recommend The Joint more. If you're looking for a buzzing atmosphere, great food all at a brilliant price, this is definitely the place to go.

Dinner here last night - £6 happy hour cocktails til 7pm (v good espresso martinis), pulled pork burger and chips. Staff (Noah & karma) were so friendly and attentive. Food was amazing (only slight improvement the pork could’ve been a bit hotter but no biggie). The raclette chips looked insane - the table next to us had them but we’d already ordered). Booked the day before via the fork and got a surprise 20% off (all the dinner bookings had this so defo book in advance if having dinner!). Would 10/10 recommend. Ambience inside was really nice too on a cold autumn night!

Had a delivery from the Joint. The pancake was nice and fluffy and hash browns were crispy and delicious. Did not find the award winning wings as impressive as they sounded!

Very tasty and good size burgers we really enjoyed!! The cheese fries were on point and the mc&cheese bites just needed a bit of flavour but the dip helped. We also came on happy hour and worked perfectly for my partner, he had 2 passion fruit martinis. The place is inside brixton village, which is very busy and live on the weekends. It also have a wall where you can leave a message ☺️ The staff were very friendly, attentive and happy to help.

Tasty brunch (the poached eggs were a bit too vinegary for my liking but it went well enough with the rest of the meal). The place is very quiet and feels serene on a Sunday morning before the market comes alive.

When we visited The Joint, brunch was on the menu. We were given complimentary tap water and then we ordered. The menu was quite upmarket and the food quality was excellent. The service was a bit slow given they had quite a few tables to cater for.

Alright hear me now, the joint is one of the restaurants in Brixton Village that piqued my interest so when my friends wanted to out to eat, and asked me to pick a place I knew exactly where I wanted to go. It’s a small restaurant with some outside seating like majority of restaurants there. We had really friendly service from Lama who recommended I tried the hot barbecue pork ribs. As my friends decided to sing-a-long to the music playing on the speakers I got lunch and a show. I had the lunch time deal of a burger and fries for £10; I got the bj burger and fries which is a good deal since the burger by itself is £10. The Bj burger The burger was visually simplistic, bun was toasted perfectly soft top bun and bottom bun firm and toasted just right to to the point the burger sauce didn’t make the burger soggy. The juices from the meat did leak out a bit but it didn’t ruin the structure of the burger. The medium cooked beef patties were done perfectly, seasoned wonderfully and melt in your mouth. The sauce in it elevated the burger to heights which I was genuinely shocked, joyful and excited for the next bite. The smoked pork belly did add different texture to the burger as it had more bite to it which did briefly interrupt the harmony in my mouth but it came with the flavour that was a whole symphony of excellence cultivating on my palate. The easiest way I can describe it is transcendent. There’s a special place in my heart for burgers like this as in my opinion it is very easy to get a beef burger wrong but this was done so right I was experiencing pure bliss that I finished it before the fries and ribs came out. 9.5/10 Fries were alright nothing special they were decent fries crispy and fluffy inside, decent potato content but no salt on it, the sweet potato fries were actually quite good though which I was happy about because they are quite easy to get wrong. I now understood why only these fries were part of the lunch deal but they were perfectly edible. 5/10 hot bbq ribs The meat it self was cooked brilliantly, soft tender meat that pulled of the bone with elegance. However, I originally wanted to order the Korean ribs as I had heard that they were really good but I listened to Lama and his recommendation which I regret as I wasn’t really a fan of the sauce I couldn’t really put my finger on what I didn’t like about it, it just wasn’t for me, the quality was really good though so I will probably try a different flavour the next time I go. 5.7/10 Overall this was an excellent culinary experience from the little show I got from my friends, excellent service from Lama and the incredible burger. 9/10 Check out my Instagram for more food reviews:sjtalks_

First time at The Joint, and the FOOD... Unbelievable!! How was the beef burger so good?? A large side of BBQ wings to go with the burger sent from heaven, really made the whole lunch. We also tried the Mac n cheese fried balls, phenomenal!! The sweet potato fries, out of this world!! Cosy seating, nice vibes. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone who hasn't tried it yet.
