I recently tried this Japanese place and had a great time here. The food was excellent and was cooked to exception. There was a wide variety of pretty interesting and innovative options, especially in sushi. The service is pretty quick and efficient with the staff being quite warm and friendly. The place is quite authentic as well. I would love to visit this place again!
This place is basically known for its food which is fantastic. The ambience can put you off because of it's old decor which seems to not have been changed since 1975. Anyhow the sushi is amazing retaining its authentic flavour and along with it they offer many Californian options as well. The food is so tasty that nothing prolongs on the conveyor belt for too long and the prices are quite reasonable as well. If you want to have good food at a good value this place should be your pick.
We went there for lunch and it was a great experience. Even though they don't have Japanese cooks the food was quite awesome and there was a wide variety on the menu to choose from. I personally loved the Sushi. But the greatest surprise was the bill which was pretty less as compared to other mainstream chains which offer worse food and charge a lot more.
You want to have most authentic sushi in this place of the town then this is the place for you.
This place is self service so can not comment much on the staff , though everyone there seemed happy to see us .
The portions of the food was good and filling,
I was pretty much satisfied by this place and will be coming again.
A very authentic Japanese place to visit. The salmon they use is extremely fresh and I simply love it! They also serve a variety of other dishes. To a name a few, they are miso soup, fried chicken, etc.
Here the pricing is done as per the saucer. It is best to sit near the wall, at the start of the conveyor belt. One is guaranteed to get the freshest items.
This place has a very original appeal to it and no pretentious air about it. It is quite a decent bet, although one would wonder that the place nearby might be a little more fun. In my idea, one should begin with a green tea and move onto some plates.
This restaurant serves some really good Japanese food. The dishes are served on a conveyor belt, so you sit at a place and just fill your plate with whatever you want until you are completely full. The pricing of the food is quite unique, it depends on the plate that you pick for yourself. This place usually gets really busy as they do serve yummy food. Surely worth a visit!
Although the place does not look very appealing on the outside, I have to add that it is quite the contrary in terms of food. It outshines all the fancy joints selling sushi and sashami. The reason it has an edge over the others is the freshness of ingredients used, with wasabi that is not flaky. In all the sushi experience is greatly authentic!
This place is chic and casual. Almost like somewhere you would love taking both your family and friends. I am a regular here; only because I love the character of this place. It exudes finesse yet it does not lose out on its simplicity. The concept here is that of 'what goes around', literally! Going around and being served on a conveyor belt, this place is very unique. The staff is helpful and amicable.
From the very inception of this place, we have heard some great reviews from family and friends. The service was that of good quality as the staff was extremely attentive. The atmosphere and ambience made the fabric of this place look very inviting. The chefs serve sushi generously with love and the best possible carp!
Small and cost, Kulu Kulu had been around for ages and has still managed to retain its appeal, despite chain sushi outlets having the same conveyor belt concept.
The mini dishes are good overall, but there wasn't a stand-out dish. However, I did find the selection limiting, as plates and plates came out of the conveyor belt rather similar. I have been to places where they are more creative and "innovate" the dishes. Being central London, prices are elevated, and therefore, customers' expectations for more distinctive dishes increase.
Service is responsive, and staff are friendly. Ambience was one of a "cosy chatty" backdrop. We enjoyed our dinner.
Good restaurant
Ok variety of sushi
Couple of fish dishes looked a bit dry
There was a wait to get in
80% food tasted fresh
Pricing wasn't that worth ... as the food wasn't that fresh ... but not bad at all
We liked mostly everything
May be we could visit again
Toilets were clean ..
Happy to see that
It is a small casual sushi conveyor belt spot located just off Piccadilly Circus. The food is pretty good but the portions could be larger given that it is expensive. The restaurant is small so would recommend coming in a small group or coming fairly close to opening time if going on the weekend as they do have a 45 min time limit when they are busy. Also take note that it is walk-in only. I would recommend the tofu, sashimi, tempura and what I believe is raw tuna mixed with some seasoning with spring onion on top but I can’t recall the name.
The best freshly made sushi as always. I use to go to the old location and I love the new location too.
Fantastic place to go for conveyor belt sushi. Went here for lunch with a friend and we both really enjoyed the experience and the food. I'm particularly fussy with certain types of fish but I enjoyed everything I ate here. Definitely tasted fresh and made with care. Good value too for central London prices. Definitely be back.

🍴First restaurant I give 5/5 stars! It has just become my favourite sushi restaurant in London ❤️ It's a small but cozy conveyor belt sushi restaurant operating in Soho since 1995! Insane right? We tried almost all the small plates and all was delicious. Sashimi and the aubergine plate impressed me so much 🤤 They only accept walk-ins so be prepared to queue, but I promise it's 100% worth it!
Super pleased with the food and atmosphere here, got filled up for a decent price with an incredible fresh array of large sushi, tempura, great quality sashimi! Constantly replaced, so you’re definitely not getting anything cold or stale.
Much better than yosushi, and definitely hard to find conveyor belt places in London these days- happy these are still going! Very fast service too, very good chefs👍👍👍👍
It’s a great hidden gem, where the soft crab 🦀 roll is really impressive and I also like their salmon and mackerel shushi too. It’s worth to try !!!
The Best Sushi I have ever eaten.
Nice authentic place with very tasty food and nice atmosphere.
Like the Conveyor belt sushi concept.
Definitely would come back again
The best sushi place in London I have ever tried so far :) So fresh and it tastes really good.
They're quite busy in the dinner time. We had to queue but it didn't take us that long for waiting time though (15mins roughly)
One good thing that made me think this place worths the hype is that they gave lots of fish and stuff inside the rolls💖 Will definitelty come back again soon!
