Fantastic French bistro food and very good service. A great addition to the High Street and I'm sure it will be a success. I had a steak, my wife ate the sea bream which she enjoyed and our daughter chose the pork and Lyonnaise potatoes which she enjoyed. The portions were generous and the house wine was excellent. The children's menu is simply smaller portions of the adults meals which we thought was a much better idea that the usual burger / fish goujons which most restaurants offer. The prices were very reasonable I thought, especially considering the quality of the cooking and service. Very happy to see Le Marmiton in Wanstead, so thanks to the all the team involved.

So refreshing to find a really good, independent restaurant that's not a chain. Le Marmiton is the genuine taste of France I've been craving for years. Excellent food and excellent service.

Popped by on Saturday night for dinner. For starters I had the snails and for mains I went for the lamb, originally wanted the duck confit but they were out. The food was very nice and the lamb portion was huge, tender, a small layer of fat and a crispy edge. Service was great and so was the cocktails!

Elite tier meal, despite Covid we enjoyed having the tables spaced apart and the atmosphere was warm inside. Chateaubriand was fantastic as were the chips! Really enjoyable - would recommend to anyone in the Wanstead area as there isn’t anything too similar nearby

This restaurant is my family's favourite haunt in the area. We use it for our celebrations and also just for a great night out. The events, such as Bastille night, are also good fun. Food is delicious, service so very pleasant and the ambience is inviting. Still top of our list... thank you Marmiton.

Lovely dinner here last night. We had the monkfish tail to share (with herb crusted potato and creamed spinach) and the vanilla and Cointreau creme brule. Delucious. Service was as good as always and the old fashioned was - again - first classs..

First visit, will definitely come again. Small, well-judged menu, food was delicious, beautifully presented and plentiful. Service was great, efficient but not in your face. Well priced. Loved it.

French style bistro. Short menu that changes seasonally and prix fixe choice on Wednesday eve and Saturday lunchtime. Vegetarian choices available.

Incredibly good service and a cote de boeuf cooked to perfection. So glad we could squeeze in some delicious desert too. Look forward to returning some time in the future. Excellent.
