Olivelli - Bloomsbury

The food was really delicious and authentic. The ingredients seemed very fresh and there were some original flavours for the pizzas! It is quite pricey for the amount of food that you get. The starter pictured below is £19.95! Overall, delicious and I would recommend if you are not on a tight budget!

This place is amazing! This may be the first time I actually post a review 100% voluntarily because I would like more people to know about this lovely little place in Bloomsbury. The food was perfect, staff was courteous, and ambiance was enjoyable. Will definitely visit again, thanks to the staff at Olivelli for making a lovely dinner experience for my friend and I! (PS - in the photo is the lasagna, Rosemary potatoes, and fior di zucca pasta).

Wanted to have a nice late night dinner here. The reviews about the slow service are spot on. Our server was nice but obviously slow and lacking professionalism. We ordered red wine that was palatable for 26£ per bottle and a antipasti plate that came without any bread and withered rocket. The head server gave us fresh warm bread after we asked about it, which was nice. All in all bearable but sadly not recommendable.

Had main course come out as a starter, food is clearly mass produced which you can't flavour because you have rock salt and peppercorns on the table which doesn't works in regular salt & pepper shaker - very odd. Manager was rude and snappy, trying to convince us the the muscle starter is vegetarian??? Then was overly put off by us requesting non alcoholic beer? 2 hours and waiting for my main to get delivered while the restaurant is at 20% capacity. I am regretting this decision as each minute passes. And I'm being nice....

I didn't get as far as trying the food, as the service was so poor, that I left as no one wanted to take my order. When I entered I was told I had come in the window and was pointed out the door. I asked that as I was already inside could I be allowed to remain inside. I had to ask for a menu, then ask for the lunch menu. The waiter who had objected to me coming in the door shaped window, then vanished. The restaurant looked impeccable and clean, completely empty except for 2 other people. A woman was cleaning glasses. I told her I was ready to order. She told me she was busy. A few minutes later she was still cleaning glasses, so I decided to leave as if she wouldn't take my order, maybe the chef was also too busy to cook a meal. Service with a smile obviously not known in this restaurant.
