Best coffee shop in London by far, if you want the best, this is the best! Great friendly staff. Make sure you pay a visit. Love the coffee here!!!
Quintessential north London trendy coffee shop with great coffee, pretty staff, and cool decor. Music is a bit loud for my taste, but I'm maybe just old before my time at 32.
Wonderful staff & atmosphere. A must cafe if you are in the area.
Whenever I'm longing for a Melbourne cafe vibe, I'll come here for a well made coffee and some avo on sourdough toast. You can also get it with poached eggs, which makes for a filling breakfast or brunch. Coffee is strong and made just as I would expect it back home.
I haven't tried the cocktails before, but apparently they do one of the meanest espresso martinis around.
Brunch. By farrrrrr my favourite meal of the day. Partly because it still allows you a lie in on the weekend (whilst being able to squeeze in a morning class!), partly because it's effectively two meals in one.... meaning you get to eat double as much, right?!. And let's just say London is most definitely not short on brunch options! You might have read some of my previous reviews on favourites including Leto Soho, The Mae Deli, Apero Chelsea, and The Grill Market, however I'm about to introduce a new one to the mix - Clerkenwell Grind.
Located conveniently near the Old Street Station, Shoreditch Grind is one of my favourite go to coffee shops.
There is both indoor and outdoor seating and unless it's freezing outside the outdoor seating is perfect for a warm cuppa and conversations.
The music is good and the service is friendly which is what you'd want in a coffee shop.
My picks are the Riseretto for a caffeine fix, Mocha when I'm feeling indulgent or a Espresso Martini when I'm feeling adventurous.
If your not a coffee person they have a selection of beer some tea and 1-2 rum cocktails. I haven't tried any of the bakery stuff so no comments on the same.
Go for the Coffee and the happy hipster vibe.
Keep gobbling xx
Great location and very lively atmosphere ! As good as one which is close to London Bridge and had great coffee / espresso Martini and overall amazing vibes .
Went to the Shoreditch Grind for a couple of drinks before dinner last Thursday. Great location just above the Old Street tube station. Very energetic place with the right kind of music - The IPAs that they served were one of the better ones that I have had for a very long time !!

Dream of an espresso martini - as to be expected! Buzzing post-work and just enough space to squeeze in with a laptop whilst waiting for a friend.

I've had a lovely brunch time with friends, sipping tea and chuffing myself with Avocado and Salmon, perfect recipe for a great saturday. The staff is friendly and efficient, highly professional, fast and focused. The food quality is high and the vibe makes you plan the next visit even before leaving. There is often a queue to order, but it is fast and you'll have barely the time to decide what you want to order.
I am not a big fan of hipster culture. This small and cute place is perfect for a quick stop right next to Old Street station whether you need to chat with your bff or just read a chapter in a book. I highly appreciate the idea that you can buy breakfast, coffee and also cocktails with variety of alcohol choices under one roof. The look from the outside will definitely grab your attention and you will not miss it.
Shoreditch Grind, the name makes sense. The Grind family includes Holborn Grind, London Grind and Soho Grind.
As with many London cafes, there has been some sort of Melbourne coffee influence. From observation, I am seeing that in a lot of south East Asian countries. Essentially students, who have worked part time as baristas and in coffee shops in Melbourne, return to their home country - to become frustrated with the local coffee scene. Having acquired such skills in Melbourne, open up cafes in hope to transfer such an appreciation for coffee, back home.
Shoreditch Grind is not so different. Budding at the lack of Melbourne coffee in London, co- founder of Shoreditch Grind Kaz worked in a boutique roastery to then create the signature Grind & Co blend. I didn’t find out the components of the blend – but upon looking back, regret not having inquired further. I ordered a latte, and it was sweet, full bodied with a bitter finish.
Upstairs from the espresso bar by day is a recording studio; cool enough Shoreditch Grind turns into a cocktail bar at night. Perhaps it’s the location of the space, but it takes on such a personality quite well. I don’t know of any Melbourne cafes that have this personality quite yet.
Really good experience!
Coffee is good food is amazing and it's literally outside the tube station!
They staff super friendly they even fill our refillable water bottles for our day ahead. 5 stars all round!
Absolutely delicious food - menu is mostly all day breakfast. The sweet potato hash and mushrooms were especially amazing. Coffee and juices nice too but quite pricey. It’s lovely to be able sit outside in the sun but currently with Old Street roundabout works ongoing, it’s quite noisy and polluted.
Can only unfortunately rate the lovely cappuccino I had to go - changed my mind and sat outside on the patio, was no issue and got a carafe of water served as well - the service standard (that I experienced was high). As to the coffee, you can tell the quality of roast and flavour profile (on the sweeter side - yet velvety smooth and delicious) was very high and worth the added price premium.
Absolutely amazing. Cute vibes, excellent food, and delicious coffee. The staff is so kind and attentive. Just go here… you’ll love it!
I can only rate the drinks and their pods, I love their coffees, matcha & chai lattes. The baristas are really skilled!
It is a cool environment to work, not so much to chill. Unfortunately the old street construction site ruins a bit the vibe but is not their fault.
Love this place right next to Old Street station, best coffee in London and absolutely the best double baked almond croissants. Super atmosphere and fast service
Really neat spot with great coffee and food. We had a small bite to eat and it was delish. Looks like they also have bottomless mimosas on the weekends.
Nice “healthy” English breakfast. I was full all day. It looks like they have a solid brunch and cocktail list as well.
Awesome breakfast and service. Highly recommended if you are in the area. Love their french toast ❤️
