As good as Thai Metro but with slightly more interesting menu. Again, do not expect truly spicy. The food is good and the prices are standard, not expensive.
Best pad thai I've had so far, with one portion (a pretty hefty one at that) being under 10 pounds. Siam Central is pretty close to where I study, which is great because prior to that I've been going to Borough Market for the pad thai which is not sustainable because Oyster fare adds up a LOT. But yes, the pad thai is great -- lots of veg and egg, so it's not just noodles.
Fish cakes are good too -- this place serves authentic Thai food, and nothing else. They seem to have a fair selection of stuff, but I've only really gone for the pad thai so I can't judge the other items (yet). There's upstairs and downstairs seating, so it isn't too difficult to get a table.
We went for lunch and the lunch deal is simply just so cheap. I took the chicken jungle curry, the meat looked a bit weird and it was too dry. Good lunch deal though.
Tastyyyy !
Right in the centre of the in crowd's hunting ground, one finds this fab corner place, with really good food. Sit outside if you can, you will have a great time observing some Really loud people , probably called Fiona or Phillip, all making an impression on each other in nearby pubs and bars. Do not despair - the food compensates for all this. As we were not really that hungry, we skipped starters, which are supposed to be great. I had green curry with prawns, and it was fabulous ; spicy, but not overpowering, with lots of prawns and crispy weg. My companion had the mussaman curry with lamb, and was over the moon with its taste and softness of meat. There is a decent selection of wine, and the prices are really modest, you do get your money's worth, and more. Go and enjoy :)
A good little spot for a lunch in the area - the 2-course & 3-course lunch menu is quite reasonable for what you get.
Standouts are the Pad Thai and the Pineapple fried rice - which actually comes in a pineapple!
It's right near a selection of restaurants and while it's nothing spectacular, it does the job when you fancy Thai food.
Not bad. Tried it after reading the good reviews here. Had the lamb massaman curry. Tasted good, the slight sweetness of the peanuts was very nice. However, the jasmine rice at £2 was a bit expensive - it was really just ordinary rice, a bit dry too.
Overall, I guess this is good value by London standard.
Amazing!. The Quick and Easy Review:
Pros
1) Delicious Food

Final Thoughts
Excellent restaurant that I would highly recommend to anyone. Definitely our go to in the city!
Good food, good price. Boom! Portions were a little small, though I guess that's normal for Thai food!
We aimed for Siam Central for dinner, on recommendation of my good friend who has eaten there many times and wanted me to try EVERYthing. Happy to oblige, we started with the Siam Combo, a selection of traditional Thai starters, all of which were deliciously authentic - do ask for an extra dipping bowl though, so you can double-dip to your heart's content. The menu also features a 'tapas' menu, so if you wish you can choose starters all evening... hmm, tempting! Siam Combo Whilst we didn't quite order everything on the menu (could have...), we chose a dish from each section, each with a different meat. The star of the meal was the Massaman Lamb curry, a warming, rich curry with potatoes - yes you can take the girl out of Ireland but she still loves her spuds...
Hubby’s lamb massaman curry was a delicious balance of sweet, sour and creamy.
I visited Siam Central, London with 2 other guests for dinner. Thankfully, we got a table in spite of not making a reservation. They have seating at the ground and basement levels. It's a cozy place with a relaxed ambience.
I had the Tequila Sunrise. Quite refreshing. I asked the staff to make it less sweet and the complied.
We had the spring rolls, drunken noodles with Tofu, and the green curry with a side of egg noodles.
The person taking our orders explained carefully regarding the use of fish sauce etc when it came to vegetarian vs vegan options. This was truly remarkable. On a busy evening, to take the time out to explain such finer aspects is something i really appreciated. The staff also tuned the spice/heat levels according to our liking. The food was terrific! Fresh, not too greasy and very flavourful. Every single item was great.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience. I would certainly recommend Siam Central to anyone looking for good Thai food in London. Kudos to the staff and the management!
They had amazing service, the staff was polite and the restaurant was clean and our food was served hot, the portions are more than enough. Would 100% recommend if you want tasty Thai food!
This is not the first time we had thai food, even tho the location and the restaurant is nice, all the food we had is a bit to sweet for us but the staff is so polite and friendly plus the food came right away.
Siam central has been a firm favourite for many years. Affordable and delicious Thai food at a fantastic location.
One note for vegetarians, most of their dishes contain fish sauce, so do check before you order.
Nice and tasty place. Tried the drunken noodles with tofu. Good size portion, veggies and noodles were perfectly. However it was marked as quite spicy on the menu, but it wasn’t spicy at all, compared other places I’ve had this dish. We also had the mixed starter set. Fried chicken and springs rolls were really good, chicken satay was just okay. Prawn on toast was very dry though. Service was fast and staff were alright. Not the friendliest.
What a treat in the heart of central London! Service was good, food arrived promptly. The red duck curry was perfectly spicy and creamy. I decided to not fill up on rice, instead opting for the mango sticky rice instead. The two complimented each other perfectly and were both filling! Don't skip the mango sticky, it's hard to find this dish in London and it's one of the best, albeit a dessert in it's own right.
It was quite pricey since it was just me. Total came to £19 something without a drink unfortunately
Authentic Thai food for a really great price right in the centre of London. This place is a hidden gem, tucked away from Soho. All food is incredibly tasty and tastes exactly like Thai food back in Thailand (I’ve been to Thailand before!). Thank you Siam Central for a wonderful experience. This is my favourite Thai restaurant in all of London. Will be back again!
Great value, tried the pineapple rice and the shrimp pad Thai. Food came out super quickly. Nice find in central!
Theres a surprise in dessert, Fried ice cream and banana fritters are delicious 😋
Did my bday here and also had food on a separate occasion. The food never disappointed me, and it doesn’t taste like a chain Thai restaurant. Fair price. Nice atmosphere. Friendly staff.
