Carluccio's - Canary Wharf

I have been here a few times, and it’s a bit hit or miss. Being in a place we’re it is busy all week due to it being a hub for business. I have found that you get a different level of service at the weekend when it’s quieter. In the week they tend to rush you through your dinner so to get the next people seated. I have never had an issue with the food. Although I did have the waiter take our water to give to another table without asking us or apologising. The best restaurant I have been to in this chain is the Covent Garden one.

Always busy and noisy. For meeting a customer, better a more relaxed place. There are food choices beyond all carbohydrates.The service is very fast, despite the great load. And the team is kind. There are lots of tables for the space and in certain parts of the restaurant could be tricky to sit, with very little space to move for the waiters. Good wine choices.

I work in Canary Wharf and I can’t believe it’s my first time in Carluccio’s in 5 years here! Staff is friendly and I was quite impressed by the food, which is more delicious than 80% of the Italian I tried in London. The environment is great for friends and casual business. Very close to tube and DLR station.

The lasagna was really good and a large portion possibly good for 2 people to share. Service could have been better as we felt the waiter was pressuring us to make an order and when we were ready to make an order, it appears that he intentionally made us wait for him to return. He also made it quite clear to us that the service charge was not included in the bill. His attitude ruined a good meal.

The breakfast set was good. The service wasn’t really fast, but given how busy they were it was acceptable. The food itself was nicely done, scrambled eggs were perfectly cooked. The breakfast set comes with a freshly squeezed juice and a coffee or tea. Coffee was done well in Italian style. Not too pricey for the area. Would come back again.
