Pastaio - Soho

Ate here twice. Once with family. We chose it because the kids menu is proper food (not nuggets and rubbish), just smaller portions. We all loved it and I can't believe how reasonably priced it is for the location! Excellent service, friendly, welcoming. Delicious food, homemade pasta. Really a great place to eat!

Had lunch at PASTAIO today. Just fabulous. The lobster pasta was so delicious and big portion for 2 that we couldn’t finish. The waitress who was serving us on the terrace was so attentive. She has such a welcoming smile and great customer service. We also ordered the house white which accompanied the lobster tagliatelle beautifully. Thank you team for this amazing experience.

Had made a reservation online but it was a relatively quiet Monday visit at 4pm. We ordered the olives as nibbles to come before our mains: Dad ordered: Crusco chilli, rocket puree, breadcrumbs, green spinach spaghetti - I tried some of this and it was really delicious, lovely crunchy bits of breadcrumbs and chilli seeds enhanced the texture of the dish! Mum had the Bolognese which I have had in the past and know how deliciously rich it is. She had the chocolate sorbet for dessert and commented that it's not much different to a chocolate ice-cream! I had the Nettle & ricotta ravioli, butter, parmesan - very buttery and rich, lots of sage and the nettles add a nice crunch! Wanted the pistachio ice-cream but all out so had the tiramisu instead and this was heavenly! I had 2 of the Sour Amaretto Slushies and could probably have had at least 5 more as they were DIVINE. Do not believe the reviews about portion sizes - they are just right and not too big to be GREEDY. The quality of the food is outstanding and sometimes incredibly rich that more would just be sickly! I only -1 star as I had to keep getting the servers attention for drinks (especially on a very hot day), menu, bill, etc. - particularly when it was not even busy.
