Love this place, highly recommend it
I absolutely love this place!!!! Me and my husband would go at least once a week, now living in Brighton we still try to go it's that good!!! The staff are amazing too all so friendly and know our order now . I would definitely recommend to all the sushi lovers!!!
I turned up at this place on a Friday night without booking so I ended up sitting by the sushi bar which was nice as I could stare at those raw fishes. So I had one of the mix sushi platter, the salmon and tuna were divine and tastes very fresh. Then I tried their rice dish with egg and katsu on top, this one is super filling and nice on a cold day (winter is coming). Then closed the dinner with a bit of ice cream (roasted green tea) which was equally good. All in all, good meal good place and probably book table next time!
Not a bad try. OK, so it wasn't the best I'd ever had, but it wasn't bad... the rice was fine, the sashimi was fresh and tasty (particularly the yellow tail, really good) and the fried bits were, well... fried bits. Service was fast, friendly and efficient. All the elements worked together and no, I wouldn't make an effort to come here, but I'd certainly pop in again if I was in the area and fancied a raw fish fix.

We will definitely go back to Sa Sa Sushi if in the area and will continue to use their delivery service (minimum £15 order within 2 mile radius). It doesn’t push Pham Sushi from top spot but Sa Sa Sushi is the best place for Japanese food in Angel.

Sasa Sushi is a hidden gem in Islington - a little Japanese restaurant with a rather uninviting front. But once you get inside, great things await!
The sushi is great, and I would also recommend the yellowtail tataki and the tempura. Service is very quick and friendly.
I would also mention the cleanliness of the toilets - they are among the best in London. I just wish they'd fix/replace the awful hand dryer in the gents!
I want to start with the lovely staff! They were very helpful about deciding on our order and made great choices. We started with rock shrimp tempura. Definitely recommended especially due to its slightly spicy mayo sauce. We also tried rainbow, crunchy tuna roll and dragon eye. If I would rate them, I would put crunchy on top, then, rainbow, then dragon but they were all amazing. And the prices are great for this quality. Also, we went on a weekday around 7 pm without reservation and we were able to find a table.
Japanese cuisine at its finest.
Food was beautifully presented & authentic.
Decor was extremely cool and minimalistic.
Service was very attentive and friendly, can’t wait to come back again very soon.
Recommendations: The Sasa sushi set but everything we had tonight was delicious.
Sasa was a lovely dining experience, best staff! As I checked on Instagram it was a family business. I really enjoyed my time here and they had an amazing service 😁 We celebrated my sister's 24th birthday and she loved it! The food was good but it may need some more seasoning overall I would recommend this place for small dates or small gatherings ☺️
The price was worth it for the amount of sushi and other dishes we had. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I will be thinking about this sushi for truly the rest of my life. Sasa sushi is located in Angel Islington, and is family run for more than 15 years.
My partner chose this as it was very easy to access from the tube. We made a reservation on their website and got in a little early. Our server Tommy was so kind and so knowledgeable. We started off with Sho Chiku Bai NIGORI which was a cold unfiltered sake. It was so silky smooth and tommy told us of a common tradition of how to drink the first taste of sake to honor those who came before US.
He also gave us amazing recommendations. We got 2 rolls each and felt like we were satisfied not to the point of being bloated which is always the best. The rolls we got were Dragon Eye roll, Rainbow roll, Crunchy Tuna Roll, and the Volcano Roll. One other thing to mention is they are so accommodating to gluten allergies. They helped my partner know which rolls could be modified. Everything was so so so fresh and truly incredible. The ambiance is cozy and perfect for a date night or after work dinner.

Great restaurant. Food is great! Their yellowtail kosho ponzu and otoro/chutoro nigiri are just 👌🏼 Staff are very attentive and friendly. Couldn't recommend this place enough!
Tried SASA for the first time.
It was above average. Karage and whitebait tempura were great.
The sashimi was good but not great.
Really disappointing to be going to a popular restaurant at 8pm on a Saturday night and multiple basic items on the menu not being available not including seasonal items such as uni)

Absolutely fantastic food so fresh so well prepared and presented and of the highest quality. The tuna just melted in the mouth my favourite were the tempura prawns so big and hot and light yummy. Lovely bottle of cold beer and very helpful and genuinely nice service
There are good sushi restaurants in London, but at this price point? This is seriously the best one! It's so good that I forgot to take photos. We ordered a few rolls because we're not too hungry but we devoured it because it just tasted amazing, the hamichi was my favorite and my friend loved the fried softshell crab. Will definitely revisit for their Nigiri😍
Lovely food!! Would order everything again seen in the pictures except for the Spider roll. Nothing wrong with it, just fussy and it could use some (unagi) sauce in there. Wagyu skewers was great. Unagi can be more torched but overall still a 9.5/10 x
