Honest Burgers Bank

We went to Honest Burger on Friday evening and had a really lovely meal. We chose different burgers and all were absolutely delicious. And there's no other place that does rosemary fries as Honest Burger does! In terms of cuisine and ambiance, it was really lovely. The only reason I don't put a 5-star is because the service could have been a bit better: our waiter seemed to have been in a bad mood that night, which can happen to any of us, but they acted a bit rudely for the rest of the service, and that kind of spoiled our meal a little bit.

The server wearing glasses is a legend. I'm sorry I should have asked for your name for this review. But I hope the company sees this and appreciates you appropriately. Had an overtly racist experience with a guy in a queue. The server recognised this, consoled me, and insisted upon my order being on the house. This is all during a weekday lunch time and he was extremely busy, most -if not all- servers would have ignored it or acted like they didn't see it. He went out of his way to make me feel comfortable, legend!

We’re always very happy with the food at Honest Burgers, especially as my wife is coeliac and the gluten free burgers are very good. Unfortunately when we visited this branch the other day the service was quite slow – the drinks arrived only just before our burgers, so we were waiting quite a long time without anything! And then at the end they said student discounts don’t apply to alcoholic drinks – but when I checked the website later because I didn’t think this was right I saw that we should have had a discount on the drinks too. So it was a bit disappointing compared to what we normally expect from Honest Burgers. The staff were friendly though and it wasn’t a bad experience.

Food was excellent, like other branches. And they were good with our special requests. When we arrived we had to sit at a high bar or outside, there wasn't proper tables inside (I think you can sit at them later), so it wasn't great with my older parents and difficult to talk to each other as we were all in a line. Had to go up to get the bill because we couldn't get the staffs attention. But Al of that is minor points, in general I'd recommend this place (but go later if you want a proper table).

Rosemary fries. Not much left to add or say, except, order the fries! I had the smash burger and it was yummy! If you're a fan of flavoured beef patties. Try this. If you're a fan of gherkins done exceptionally, try this. *gherkins are dressed in dill and wholegrain mustard mix - beautifully seasoned. We've eaten at plenty of places for burgers before, this was one of the best I've had. The person who recommended and joined me, had been before, and was coming back yet again. Very nicely done. Thank you, we will be back.
