Amazing fondue experience! The food was tasty and portion size was quite generous. The interior of the place was also quite nice and cozy; though the place will leave a smell on your clothes.

Fantastic food, we had the cheese and wild mushroom fondue which was incredible and Spätzle as a side dish (spätzle were a bit less traditional, in comparison to how it’s served in Austria) but still nice. Staff was a bit slow and not very welcoming. Overall I would recommend it if you are after a fondue, it’s definitely up there 👍

This with a lot of fun, if you haven't had done fondue before you must try it.
If you have done it before this is a good place to do it.
The decor is very traditional, but it's very clean and the food is good.
Would I really like to stay expertly described everything so we could understand what was best to choose.
It's not cheap but the quality is there to make it worth it.

If you love traditional Swiss Cuisine or even want to try something new, I could not recommend this restaurant more highly! For me it was like being back home in the Valais for an evening and the food was excellent👌 It doesn't get more traditional than this🥰 and the staff are absolutely lovely! Thank you so much❤️🇨🇭

Great swiss atmosphere, the food was delicious and the service was fantastic from all. The smell of cheese is overwhelming at first but you get used to it. I felt like I was whisked away into Switzerland.

We had such a lovely evening.
The food and the staff were divine.
The cheese fondue was absolutely amazing.
Well worth a visit but advisable to book at table.
Can't wait to go back 😍

Was a great lunch out. The staff were amazing and helpful seeing as we were the first through the door. A small but comfy restaurant doesn't feel crowded with a lovely Alpine feel.
The food was lovely. The Pate was quite rich so but still very nice. The prawn cocktail was well made and they weren't stingey with the prawns.
Our main of the vegetable fondue was nice and the vegetables were nicely prepared.
Will be returning to try out the different options on the menu.

This swiss restaurant has a great vibe with great service and good food (the only reason I gave service 4* is that I ordered carrot and orange soup - the soup of the day - and got french onion soup, though it was so tasty I didn't complain or send it back). The fondue was delicious (to be shared between two) and worth going just for that. Perhaps the bread could have been a little better but it was nevertheless a great meal. I would recommend!

Food and service where brilliant here, remind me of that old Swiss cottage especially once the fondue arrives at the table

A fun experience - it's worth visiting for the old school alpine decor. A very classic menu - the mushrooms in garlic sauce were absolutely delicious. The fondue itself was reasonable, although expensive. The Swiss House wine was perfectly drinkable. Service was friendly, but they did not seem to like us pouring our own drink or altering the heat on the fondue which was a little inconvenient considering it's quite a casual restaurant. Tiny, so definitely worth booking in advance.
Craig Neale
Great fondue and some of the more expensive wines pair really well. Staff seem to know the products well and setting is purposefully quite traditional. Might need a few tweaks to the decor to take it to the next level but overall experience and using the fondue pot etc. is a novelty and enjoyable.

You walk into a time travel experience. The food is solid, dependable. Traditional. The service is functional in the main with the odd glimpse of sweetness and personality. The atmosphere has not changed in 44 years. The decor has not changed in 44 years. The prices definitely have changed in 44 years. Modern palates will find most of the food very over salted, but that is what you expect from this type of cuisine. The fondues are very understated to look at but taste perfect. Don't expect fancy frilly presentation or servings. But go with a hearty plain appetite and you won't be disappointed.

Service was polite, lady was new so kept coming back to ask us what we ordered again but she made up for it in being nice.
Escargots are served without the shell, but still tasted good. Fondue cheese didn't pull/string as we wanted it to but it tasted authentic and great.
Decor and atmosphere is very authentic swiss, we loved it. The waiters uniforms were also classic, and receipts were written out by hand. Its a really nice touch.

Service is not that great.. just about okay.. I guess this restaurant can be enjoyed if one is patient for the service and food.
The cheese fondue, raclette, rostie, etc. are all quite authentic Swizz. This is probably the only real Swizz restaurant in London.
I recommend the Moitè Moitè Cheese Fondue over any other.
Seating is not very comfortable.. but will do..
Sometimes it can get really hot inside.. but they do swich on the AC on request.

Service and knowledge good. Knew the cheese in the fondue was not vegetarian friendly. Gave their opinion on good selection.
Fondue needed some blue cheese on my opinion but had gruyere and vacherin. I felt the fondue was a little watery. But there was more than enough bread and potatoes for the half and half we ordered.
One grumble was the Bill was hand written and as such was non itemised that took a bit of thinking back and looking back at the menu to work out what was in each item. For example all the mains were lumped together including one side, but one side was separately itemised, desserts were separated as were drinks but all in one line as a category.

Londons hidden gem hiding in plain view. The bright young things on Wardour Street walk straight past to some plastic pub. But I don’t want them to know friendly staff, live music and classic tunes are being played late, it’s all just for me and my friends.

Went to the st Moritz club Friday 6 July the staff were friendly , good atmosphere, we went to see a great band called Purple Implosion absolutely fantastic!

Soho Basement club labyrinth..could of been 1967 X an experience to visit and to play with my band Electrics..we will be back asap hopefully...

Great food and perfect atmosphere.
Almost like being in Geneva again :-)

Legendary venue. First started coming here for a metal club ran by Section 8 (I think) and then Decadence for years.

spent some of the best nights of my life in that place, with some of the best people that I have ever met !

Love this for years and years <3
Great night, brilliant bands, always a great vibe and top experience every time. Thanks <3

Fantastic, DJ played all of our requests. Great atmosphere and great banter amongst punters and staff. Will definitely be back next time we're in London.

This was nostalgia personified for me. Supporting donkeybox. Drank in the basement after work in 70's and early 80's with police colleagues from west end central. We knew it as the pit. Saw 'sweetie' owner last night still going strong. Many happy days there. Fantastic the big round table still there too!!!
Mark Pointer
Great venue, Great band called the Electrics played the night we were here .
Dorothy Pearlman
Proper old style basement where you can catch new bands.

Great venue for some proper sweaty Rock n Roll!

Great place, even better times. Wonderful memories and the odd hangover.

I supposed to play there at the end of the month. All of a sudden the manager/promoter sent me 2 lines saying "the event is cancelled, sorry" and after replying that I was available for other dates, I was blocked/banned on Facebook. Then I discovered that the night was still on and I was just replaced without a reason.
BANDS AND ARTISTS, STAY AWAY, play elsewhere.
(The club is not very good anyway: you have to pay 6 pounds to get in, very small stage, lower ground floor, dark and only one beer on tap)
Jay Serrao
Rubbish promoter. Bands and punters, avoid!

Visited this Switzerland place everytime I pass by london and it’s my favorite restaurant in town. Their raclette fondu cheese is very tasty love that one. The dessert chocolate fondue is really good as well. Good experience. Enjoying my time. Waiters are very friendly professional and helpful. This restaurant is always full of people having diner everyday.

I loved the cheese fondue concept. It’s great for small bites and snacking away, but very filling! The service was average. We also tried the dessert chocolate fondue but I think the cheese is their speciality.

Wierd incident happened with us at this restaurant. And i hope sincerely that the management will be reading this review. We were girls at this restaurant today evening. As we entered, a bunch of dodgy boys started making wierd indirect comments and we were thoroughly uncomfortable throughout the meal. At the end of the most amazing meal, we askdd for the cheque, paid and left. Just as we were about to take off in the taxi, the lady at the restaurant came running out saying we had paid less. I clearly remember counting the money more than a few times as i needed to borrow change from my sister dining with us. I had given a fifty pound note, a twenty pound, a tenner, a five and 2 pounds in coins for my bill of 86.77 and was then accused by the lady for having paid less. Anyway, i did not want to argue with her and gave her the 30 she insisted i had paid less. I appeal to the management to kindly check on the CCTC camera as i am certain something went wrong in the restaurant itself and that the other guests had tampered with the cheque. I am so embarrassed to be writing this review because the women serving at the restaurant thought we were taking off with their money which was obviously not the case. Anyway, lesson learnt, do check the bill amount before leaving this restaurant and please make sure u hand over the money to the correct person before you leave this place! Good luck!

One of my swiss friends introduced me to this place. We tried 3 types of fondue and all were awesome. I would recommend the tomato fondue. Also love the decor of the place with swiss music instruments and cow bells hanging on the walls. It is a little expensive though.

St. Moritz is an amazing restaurant if you like cheese. The smell of cheese around the place is quite intense, but it doesn't cause any harm if you are into cheese and willing to try their fondue. The cheese fondue was great, but also the bratwurst sausage and the stroganoff. The staff is nice and explained us the options available very well.
Estelle Lin
The cheese fondue takes really bitter, like someone's vomit. The veal, though they claimed to be veal, tastes extremely like chicken. Will not come again. But the service is very nice.

One of the perks of having friends in town from abroad is that you get to pick the restaurant. God knows what possessed me to suggest fondue on a pretty warm summers day, but J1 was down with the idea so I finally got my chance to try this little beauty I’d walked past numerous times. We entered and were immediately smacked in the face with the strong smell of cheese (duh!). Given the weather was fairly warm, I was surprised to see that most of the tables in the small space were filled. We had a look at the menu and decided quickly on the Fondue Neuchateloise – a mix of emmental and gruyere cheese. Whilst we toyed with the idea of ordering a few other bits, our waitress warned us that the cheese is extremely heavy and that she would suggest that we start with the cheese and then decide if we had space for anything else.

Agree with hardens. I must admit I'm not able to pick "like it" or "don't like it".

Nothing to say about the lovely cozy, friendly and genuine swiss chalet atmosphere. It was 7 of us and we only experienced the highly rated fondues, they were real yummy, however we all found them a bit boring. Portions (min for 2) are pretty generous and never seem to end, they are all served with a few boiled new potatoes and a huge amount of spongy bread which fills you up very quickly.
Fondues were nice but we all agreed this is the sort of restaurant you would visit very occasionly, I am glad I gave it a go but wouldn't definately rush to go back.

I had to fight the urge to order the Fondue Au Chocolate, another fondue of fine Swiss chocolates served up with selection of fruits. The two pots of cheese and our wonderful starters made sure we had no place for another fondue but having tried it previously I must say; if you can stomach it; by all means order the chocolate fondue – it’s the perfect end to a gluttonous treat.

St. Moritz is a great little place to meet up friends and spend an evening over a bubbling pot of their wonderful fondue without burning a hole in your pocket. Don’t worry if you aren’t a fan of a fondue (really?), they have a variety of other Swiss delicacies to choose from – they do serve up some great venison dishes which is always on the top of my list when I don’t fancy a cheese overload. Loetscher is on to a clear winner with St.Moritz and has been since 1974 – finding a table here without a reservation can be difficult and I can see why. Even the 90’s retro website with cheesy Swiss music and gif animations of fondue is annoyingly charming. It’s just a great little restaurant serving up some great Swiss dishes. Enough said.

They serve all sorts of traditional Swiss cuisine such as Veau, Zurichoise, Bratwurst and the self-proclaimed 'best rosti outside of Switzerland'. But today our priority was fondue. I decided to rediscover my Anna Sui flared trousers. I bought them over a year ago, wore them once and duly fell over whilst walking up some steps when my heel got caught in the lace. Since then I've been scared to wear them for fear of a repeat performance but I'm now reintroducing them into my life. We need to be risk-takers sometimes! You can find St Moritz on Wardour Street a short walk from Oxford Circus tube station. It's a dinky little place, decked out traditionally down to the Swiss flag hanging above the entrance.

Nothing more extravagant than vegetables or mushrooms are served with the cheese fondue, so we had the moitie-moitie - gruyere and vacherin, which came with bread and potatoes. All the fondues also have white wine. We also ordered a rosti on the side (yes, more potat

Tasting cheese fondue was something I longed to do, when I was over Switzerland. “You get drunk from it” my cousin exclaimed to the late teen me. Those words have been stuck in my head ever since.

St Moritz has been established since 1974, located in the heart of Soho. I have gathered my two other food buddies along with me to try out the fondue. Seated by a very tight corner we glance over the menu, for a min of 2 people fondue is £17.90 per person. With my cousin’s words still ringing in my ear, I didn’t quite know what to expect. Would I get drunk from the experience? To be on the safe side we choose the tomato blend. St motitz menu The fondue came in bubbling little cauldron; the FONDUE VALAISANNE AUX TOMATES was served with new potatoes and bread. Dipping our long stemmed forks into the mix we watched our pieces of potatoes and bread coat itself with the stringy cheese.

This would be such a great place for a group. In fact I'm going to suggest it to a bunch of friends now. I loved St Moritz, and will definitely be back. It is a perfect antidote for a freezing night.

Okay, the problem: Cheese is one of the least sexy words in the English language, and cheese fondue is up there with curry when it comes to food you shouldn't eat before sex. Ideally you would turn up and just have chocolate fondue, but in the evening St Moritz won't allow this, you have to have a meal.

Went here with a couple of friends. Booking a table beforehand is recommended. Instantly fell in love with their chalet style layout and wooden interiors, it created a warm and cosy atmosphere. The fondue portions are huge and were simple delicious! A great place to visit for authentic fondue and cheese lovers!

St Moritz is a decent Swiss eatery - go if you like melted cheese!

On our last visit we decided to go for a raclette starter (relatively small, comes with boiled baby potatoes) and some dried beef. For mains, we decided to skip the fondues (we've always had that here - it's very good, although a bit samey after a while). Instead, we went for calf's liver (massive!) and the émincé de veau à la zurichoise (a. k. a. Zürcher Kalbsgeschnetzeltes) and some rösti - all very good with a bottle of Petite Arvine.

Service was good and prompt. The place feels very small (just five or six tables downstairs, although there is an upstairs too).

Overall a good experience, and we will surely be back for a taste of Switzerland!

The final day of the Cornwall winter adventure, on the St Moritz hotel’s Gourmet Trip, was pamper day.

After a lot of walking, exploring and being blown around on the beaches we were in need of a bit of rest and relaxation, so spent our final day inside, leaving our wind whipped red faces in the hands of the professionals.

First thing was first however… a feast for breakfast. Local, orange-yolked, eggs, slick slithers of salmon, lots of herbal teas and fresh fruit was just some of the food on offer. There was also a standard continental spread of cereals, pastries and yoghurt too.

The cooked food was particularly delicious, undeniably good quality ingredients, all perfectly cooked. Praising on the egg poacher.

Cowshed spa is attached to the hotel, offering a number of different treatments to their guests. Massages, body wraps, pedicures you can have it all.

This is such a wonderful restaurant, me and my boyfriend were walking around soho trying to find something to eat but I would never expect to find such a place.
As I finished work at 4, and we started looking straight away, we managed to get a table, however I would recommend to book before from what I could hear.
Ambience in the restaurant is just phenomenal, the whole place is decorated in Swiss flags, rustic bells and is all in wooden logs, just how I like it. Feels like you in a different city the minute you walk in.
Food was absolutely stunning, we tried frog legs for a starter and my boyfriend had a steak and I had a veal in a mushroom sauce. Everything was to die for...
Service is also at a high level and when chef went out himself to ask how was the food I felt really taken care of.
With one alcoholic drink per head we paid together £80 which is totally worth the experience. Out of 10 I would definitely give them a 10. THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO TO!
No pictures from this restaurant as I memories from there will never be forgotten and pictures will not show it's real beauty.
One of my favourite swiss retsurants in London. If you love cheese like me this is the place to go to. As soon as you enter the tiny cosy restaurant you feel you have been transported to some place in swiss. The ambience is great and just adds to the amazing food served here.

The cheese fondue is the highlight of this place. One of the best cheese fondues I have ever had.Mostly I have always gone to have the cheese fondue here but I would also suggest you try the The raclette. It is just too tasty. If you arn't that fond of cheese and like meat try their Filet Madagascar(beef fillet).
Their chocolate fondue is a must for all the chocolate lovers. It is the perfect dessert to end your meal with.Their other desserts are also quite tasty.

Excellent Swiss food...Nice ambience and simple service..
Try the Raclette and the Bratwurst with rosti..
End with the red berry sorbet served with meringue, if they still have it... The tangy, soft sorbet complements the crunchy sweetness of the meringue very well..
Standard, staples of Swiss cuisine served here...served well..
Rated Replicating the ambience of entering a typical chalet in Switzerland, this small yet cozy restaurant offers a traditional and genuine Swiss Experience. With gentle background music, flags, and dark wooden stairs, this is a must visit restaurant in London. Needless to say, the mouth-watering raclettes and fondues create a ridiculously unhealthy yet heavenly and divine eating experience for any cheeseaholic like myself. Prior to booking, it is important to realize this restaurant is certainly on the pricey side and is without doubt, one to avoid for anyone calorie-phobic or on a diet.

In terms of capacity, the restaurant is double floored yet the seating is very limited. On weekends especially, bookings must be made as early as possible to avoid disappointment. Visiting in groups of 4 would be ideal as although bookings are difficult, the portions are mainly for sharing.

A small Swiss Restaurant specialising in Fondue. When you walk in the strong smell of cheese can really hit you! I had the beef fondue and the cheese fondue at the same time. The sauces were really amazing all freshly made. I thought the portion was small however having both the Fondue's with bread to dip into the cheese and sauces were really enough. The service was great. Very impressed with the whole experience.

Now, most people will tell you that cheese is actually a pretty expensive grocery to buy. Which must explain why fondue is such an overpriced dish, none more so than the ones served in St Moritz (the restaurant, not the club, though it is above the club). There's a choice of about five, starting with a very basic one which comes with only bread and is a mix of gruyere and emmenthal and costs £17.90 per person, all the way up to the ones that are meat in sauces which are £25.95 per person. Minimum two people so you have to take someone with you who also wants fondue if that's what you've got in mind. Not that you must have fondue - they have plenty of other things as well such as veal escalopes, steaks or calves liver.

Nothing more extravagant than vegetables or mushrooms are served with the cheese fondue, so we had the moitie-moitie - gruyere and vacherin, which came with bread and potatoes. All the fondues also have white wine. We also ordered a rosti on the side (yes, more potato) to try to sample a range of things.

I did like the fondue, because I always like anything to do with cheese, but it could have been thicker in my opinion. I think the wine gave it a good kick and the mix of cheese was a nice blend but not nice enough to make the price any less painful. All our bland little boiled potatoes were cooked well - not over or undercooked and the bread was of a sufficient density to handle being dunked in molten cheese. Was it bread made in-house, or even brought in from a reputable bakery? I highly doubt it. It wasn't the kind of stuff you wanted to eat on its own, it served merely as a conduit to get the cheese to your mouth.

The rosti was actually pretty tasty - it was huge so I'm glad we shared, and it was nice and crispy on the outside, and, again not spoiled by undercooking. There was also quite a lot of cheese in our saucepan and we weren't able to finish it all between the two of us.

Prices for beverages felt outrageous. The house wine was £4.30 for a small glass (125ml) but a diet coke was itself over £3.00 so I felt I might as well go for the alcohol.

The place is definitely verging on a corny themed restaurant, but doesn’t quite take it to the extremes it would need to get there. Everything about it is a reference to Switzerland and the country in some way although it’s not immediately obvious. (We missed the cows on our saucepan of fondue until the end for instance.) It was a much smaller space than I expected, though I think there’s an upstairs, and I felt a little squeezed into our table. Not the best dining experience I’ve ever had; I would undoubtedly choose Androuet over St Moritz for fondue in terms of surroundings, price and what you are given.

Old school through and through! Traditional fondue with all the accompaniments you would expect. Great with a group of people.

Ah St Moritz! I came to this restaurant for my 19th birthday (Long time ago!). Accompanied by a few friends, i really wanted to indulge in nice mountainous french cuisine. I was not disappointed. The raclette was delicious despite being a little small on the portion. However, the Fondue was large enough to quickly compensate for the smallish starter. On top of that, the Fondue was really excellent and prepared in the proper Swiss way. Another great thing about St Moritz is its interior design and decor. A real effort was made to make you feel in a comfy Alpine chalet. Even though you do never really believe your in an actual Chalet, the wooden walls and themed decoration really make up for great vibe.

Negatives are that the place is getting old and is needing a refurbish rather soon.

My advice: one of the rare London restaurants to serve Raclette or Fondue the way it should be. Worth it just for that.

Enjoy!
