I went here today with my dad ,staff were excellent even gave my dad a box to take his chicken home as portions are large

Best cafe I've ever been to - good quality food, good quantity food, friendly staff, efficient service, top notch toilets (automatic lights, dyson hand drier, automatic taps) all in an american style diner setting - what's not to like? Left my phone in there once - they had it for me when I went back - genuine focus on quality, always improving, always moving on. Not keen on the new yellow chalkboards, hard to read - tiny con for me in a sea of pros.
Love this place! Friendly staff, great hangover food, takeaway roast dinners and comfy seating. My favourite is the haloumi omelette, delish!
Good customer service with very tasty food that's well presented. Halal, vegan and vegetarian option. Felt a little rushed, but I understand that the restaurant is in high demand. I recommend breakfast/brunch times as the restaurant is less busy then.
A drink menu board would be very helpful, also perhaps some visual instructions or staff by the door to make it clear how the food ordering works in this restaurant - just a suggestion.
Amazing breakfast after coming in out of country, lunch and dinner options too. Strawberry banana Milkshake hit the spot. Paper straw sucks though! Pancakes were perfect with all the berries and butter, but that’s just my preference. I ate #5, which is plenty, comes with hash browns or chips (fries), bacon, and two fat sausage links. Service was great, wasn’t waiting for ages and it was a Thursday at 9ish. Will definitely be coming again! Vegetarian options 4 was great too.
I really enjoy the food at Johnnies , especially the lamb kofte with rice . The meat has a lot of flavour and the portion sizes are fantastic , I like the salad and coleslaw that they put on the side . The food came out pretty fast too and the smoothies are also delicious .
My first time going to Johnnies and I opted for their number 5x .
Long story short it was delicious! Apparently it gets super busy on Saturday morning but when we went it was calm.
Absolutely loved the food. I couldn’t finish it though. Staff were very polite. Food was fast also.
It was 5 of us and our food and drinks came up to £83…not bad tbh
I mean do I need to say anything! Look at this pancake. This isn’t just any ordinary cafe. It’s the best cafe in south!
The food is soo tasty and huge portions. Prices are affordable, the staff are friendly and the vibe is good too.

Johnnies is always an enjoyable eat. I had the number 5 traditional breakfast which was super filling! The service was quick and the food is worth its value. They literally serve everything here at a great quality so there’s something for everyone - I’d definitely recommend!
Been coming here since I was younger and now come here with my daughter. Great family run business lovely people if something is not to your liking with your order it gets sorted. Always service with a smile
Perfect diner where everyone is welcome and everyone comes. Food is always fantastic, staff are always lovely and the milkshakes are to die for❤️
I've seen Johnnie's on many occasions but I just didn't think to try it out.
It always looks busy from the outside and I understand why.
The food came quickly, everything was as advertised and it tasted good!
One of the best cafes I have been to and I am sure the locals treasure it.
If you don't like a busy place, this is not for you.

Oreo Milkshake was spot on but I will recommend a spoon or more solid straw!
Pancakes were a little dense and heavy for me but that’s just my preference. 3 is plenty if you have it with hash browns/bacon etc. Would suggest noting to customers that it comes with cream as it only says “with strawberries” but that’s just because I don’t like cream.
Service was great, wasn’t waiting for ages and it was a Saturday at lunchtime. Will definitely be coming again!
