Great Mayfair pub serving a good range of beers! Recommend the Level Head beer. They do 2 for 1 offers on some beers too!

🚇 Green Park 🍺 £6.50 Estrella ❤️ A compact Greene King pub with nautical history. . The Goat Tavern is located just off the upmarket retail thoroughfare of Old Bond Street. The nearest tube station is Green Park which is a few minutes stroll away. . The first license issued on these premises was in 1688. Former customers included Lord Nelson and Lady Hamilton, the latter of whom lived nearby. Carrying on the naval tradition, in the Edwardian era the smoking room upstairs was a favourite rendezvous for senior naval officers. The building was remodelled in 1958 including a new goat which projects proudly from the front of the building. . This is compact Greene King boozer which is traditionally decorated. Opposite the servery and at the front side and back are poser tables to take a load off. There is lots of dark wood in homage to old London pubs and etched mirrors around the walls to make the bar seem bigger and add a bit of character. . The beer line up was straightforward with a couple of cask for the purists. I opted for an Estrella, my pint was decent but the price point was high and reflected the area. The food menu is British pub classics, Fish and Chips costs £16.49. . The pub was busy on this late Saturday afternoon, there were about twenty or so punters in including a group of ladies from up north who were out on the razz. The chap behind the ramp was pleasant and laidback, he had everything under control in this buzzy little boozer. . The Goat Tavern was an enjoyable visit but price point was above average. The service was good and the atmosphere upbeat. Pound for pound there are better pubs in the area but why not see for yourself. . ℹ️ Info correct on visiting 14/01/23

Been there first time today since I work just across the road. Visited for fish&chips and pint of Guinness. Place is cozy but small, with upstairs area. Food was really good but for that price - 22 all together - I expected much bigger portion. I realize it's posh area for rich people, but rich don't dine in places like that. Waiting time was 10 mins for me but place wasn't very busy. Stuff is polite and serve you well. Would visit again for booze night night.

Fantastic pub. After an afternoon tea at fortnum & Mason we wanted a few drinks before our train journey home. We found this little gem, cosy pub, good service and bottle of prosecco £20 ordered on their app. Atmosphere was great later on and 2 bottles later we set off having had a fabulous evening here.

Warm atmosphere, friendly staff and tasty dishes. Unfortunately, they didn't have any of the pies mentioned in the menu and our order took extremely long to be prepared (initially they mentioned 40 to 45 minutes that later became 1+ hour) resulting to not have a lot of time to properly enjoy our meal and run late to our appointment afterwards. No discount for the delay, but they did bring us some nuts to apologize. Maybe something bigger would have helped more with our hunger. Overall, if you have the time, this place is a really good choice! :)

Lovely pub in Mayfair. I had also ordered food menu (don't remember the name though) and it was just amazing.

One of the oldest taverns in town. Offers wide choise of local beers and tasty national English food. There they found place for the art.
