This place never disappoints. Newer extended so that proves its a well liked tapas resturant. The food is great. The service is ok, but the staff are friendly so not really a problem.
Me: Perfecto... The croquetas de bacalao were as good as my Aunt's croquetas!!
Daughter: absolutely amazing it is now one of my favourite restaurants I personally would rate it a 9/10 I would have given it a ten but the only thing was that one of the waiters forgot my order otherwise a great place to dine for adults and kids
An impromptu weekday evening out led us to dinner at La Lluna. It had come at the right time as when a day has been a bit of a trying one, the time with special close friends helps wonders. La Lluna has the brightly lit chunky sign which instantly makes you smile. Entering the restaurant, it is actually fairly big. Palm trees, lots of cushioned seating, high tables and chairs, window seats, a big bar area all make this restaurant welcoming. Light, airy, clean and spacious with a red and white theme makes up the restaurant area. A huge striking painting, which seems to be the signature picture for La Lluna covers the whole of the back wall.
The food is really good. If you are looking for a good spanish tapas place you should go here! For starters the manchego was great and really nice plated, the pan tostado con tomate as well, the octupus just needed a drizzle of olive oil for my taste, the croquetas were ok. For main the mushroom gnocchi was amazing and the scalopes. The chuletas were so and so think needed more seasoning. All in all a really lovely meal! Will be back for sure ;)
La Luna is a delightful Spanish cusine restaurant in London, in Muswell Hill. The restaurant offers a wide variety of traditional and modern Spanish dishes, all made with fresh, high-quality ingredients.
The atmosphere at La Luna is warm and inviting, with rustic interiors, a skylight, and a vibrant wall mural. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and they are always happy to help you choose the perfect dishes and wines to enjoy.
The food at La Luna is simply delicious. Some of my favorite dishes include the patatas bravas, the gambas al ajillo (garlic prawns), and the croquetas de jamón (ham croquettes). The paella is also excellent, and it is made to order, so you can choose your own ingredients.
La Luna also has a great selection of Spanish wines, and the staff is always happy to recommend a wine to pair with your meal.
Overall, I highly recommend La Luna to anyone looking for a great Spanish dining experience in London. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
Pros:
Wide variety of traditional and modern Spanish dishes
Made with fresh, high-quality ingredients
Warm and inviting atmosphere
Friendly and knowledgeable staff
Excellent food and wine
Cons:
Can be a bit noisy on busy nights
Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends
The food was delicious!
Probably the best Spanish food I had.
I really loved every single dish we got!
The service although was average.
They were friendly, but quite inattentive, that was a bit frustrating sometimes.
When we finished our food they didn't ask as for any deserts and only after asking them a few times they brought us the menu to order dessert.
Other than that I would visit again.
Been here many times, the food never disappoints!
Courgette flowers are a must!!
They had run out on my last visit as I arrived at 10:30pm, they still seated us for food which we was very grateful for and gave me another recommendation of these beauties in the picture (aubergine pancakes drizzled with honey) wow I will be ordering these again they were fantastic.
Staff are very friendly.
Relaxing, beautiful decor.
Can’t wait to try the one at whetstone.
the food was very tasty and very nicely presented as for the size as a man I would prefer slightly larger portions besides a really nice atmosphere friendly service

The vegetarian croquettes, and the avocado/cucumber based starter, crispy pork belly were really tasty and nice.
The place overall is not something I would go back to, nice decor, but it's really loud, and dark. I was literally having trouble seeing (the menu, the food, my partner) even though there was some lighting.
Some of the food was really nice, but we got the tortilla 30 minutes later than everything else. I'm almost sure they simply forgot, because they came to us with "did you get your tortilla yet?". When It finally came, it was dry (even though the inside was a bit liquidy) and tasteless; it didn't look stale, I think it's just how it is. No photo of it, because we were so hungry waiting for it, we just gobbled it up.
When the order contains a "meat-only" order, we would kind of expect to get the "side" with it too, so we can eat it together.
Very tasty ribeye steak and lamb cutlets! They are probably one of the best I ever have in my life. This risotto rice also worth a try!!
The service was wonderful, the staff professional and fast and the food was just wonderful.
Added to that the atmosphere of the place is stunning and relaxed.
Shout out to Olivia that welcomed us with a smiling face that made us feel at home she is professionally charming and lovely she made our experience special. We will come back soon for sure.
Great vibe, friendly staff and an amazing food! Went for some tapas but ended up trying few small dishes as all looked so good, everything was very tasty and freshly cook. Quick service! Next time will be visiting other branch as they have live flamenco shows with Spanish music. Had an octopus, fried squid and cheese platter, it was really definitely worth trying! Highly recommend if you are looking for Spanish food!
Great food accompanied by excellent service & that’s my grandchildren’s comments about their children’s meal, resulting in them pressurising me to get back here again soon. As for us adults we immersed ourselves in the aromas & tastes of our starters & tapas, which didn’t disappoint especially with the choice of wines. A very memorable meal that wasn’t just quantity but supported by real quality!
I had booked a table for 6pm for 6 people and were seated in a very dimly lit area towards the back of the restaurant. This was perfect. The place was quite empty but soon became full. The staff were very polite and professional in greeting us and gave us time in selecting our drinks and food choices. The menu was very extensive and a little overwhelming. We all chose 3 dishes each. The only negative comment is that the dishes didn't arrive at the same time. This was compensated in that when they did reach the table, they were beautifully presented and worth the wait. Each dish complimented each other in taste and there was plenty of it. The place became noisy with chatter and laughing, but this was nice. You could tell people were having a lovely time. The music played was very up beat and added to the very pleasant atmosphere. This restaurant was recommended by my daughter and her fiance and I will definitely be coming again. The chef and cooks did a fantastic job and should be complimented for their work. We'll done to all the staff, who worked hard to ensure such an enjoyable evening!
