After a very long had the best Lebanese food. Living in Dubai , have dinned in many Lebanese restaurants but this has been the best. Very tasty and good meat.
Only one thing , I wish if they made fresh Khubus and served with the hummous.
Overall experience has been wonderful!
Owned by my friend Mr Houssam a geniune lebanese amazing restaurant. The taste is beyond amazing and the service is good. In the heart of marble arch.
Best food in town. I mostly recommend the mixed grill even though everything else is very good. Their mezza is delicious and so are the salads . Staff are very friendly and the service is great.
Great food orders beef kabsa and mixed grills with Hamus side dish very tasty also good prices for a restaurant in london diffenitly will come again👌👌👌
Shisha done the right way. The food reminded me of the good old days I spent in Lebanon. I believe it is the best middle eastern restaurant in London.
Love the sheek humos. Perfect dining for lebanese food. Awesome taste and best placed for eats in edgware. There are many lebanese food stalls in this area. One among is this best place. Go and try once.
Albalad is really nice restaurant ,food more than what you expect.
Homos and fattoush was very tasty.
I recommend you to try their mix grill is absolutely nice.
We were as a group of four we tried almost every thing .all good include shawarma wa great.
Staff was helpfully especially Chadia .
Went to this place out of random choice in Edgware Road, Marble Arch. Looked at the past review, they were good. The exterior of the place seem like your normal kebab joint but there is a sit-in restaurant. The interior has a Middle Eastern feel with music. There were many Middle Eastern customers on a Monday night which is a sign of a good restaurant. The three of us ordered Moutabel baba ghanouj to share then a Lamb Shawarma, a mixed grill and a Roasted Lamb followed by a fruit cocktail & copious amount of mint tea to finished off. It doesn't sound much though we were thoroughly satisfied and their meats and salad ratio was spot on. The meats in our dished were grilled and seasoned well. The staff were attentive & pleasent though not always understood our English. I definitely come back whenever I be around Marble Arch again.
Amazing sheesha. Amazing food! Loved the batata haara sandwich and chicken shawarma! Having grown up in the gulf I do know Lebanese food (to an extent!!). Definitely worth trying!
Having grown up in the Middle East, I pride myself in knowing what good Lebanese food is. Therefore I was vary of trying Al Balad but it did not disappoint.
The prices aren't cheap but they're basically the same in all the Lebanese restaurants lining Edgware Road.
I've tried the Hummus Beiruti, the Falafels, the Shish Taouk sandwich and the Chicken Shawarma.
They give pickles and olives on sitting like every Lebanese restaurant. They also give unlimited free Arabic bread (khubz) with the hummus.
The hummus Beiruti is hummus with coriander and green chilies mixed through. It's really good for those who want a spicy kick. The hummus itself has good flavor and is creamy as it should be. The Falafels are also really good. You get 4 a plate and they are very big and filling.
The shawarma was mediocre, it could do with some more sauce as it felt a bit too dry. The Shish Taouk sandwich on the other hand is really good. It reminds me of the one I have back home and is filled generously with chicken and sauce.
They also give complimentary baklava when you leave which tastes buttery and delicious.
Overall, this place is good for anyone wanting to try some good Lebanese food with proper portions.
The food had by our party of 4 was fantastic. Everyone raved about the quality of the food. Seasoned well, served fresh and hot. The fabulous food makes up for the service mishaps. The staff was very kind, but we were accidentally served an extra bowl of hummus and did not realized it wasn’t the specific dish we ordered. We got charged for that extra bowl. Additionally they made the wrong type of dish for another appetizer (lamb instead of cheese). They did correct it quickly though. Would happily recommend Al Balad to friends; but hope they can consider making some minor adjustments on their service.
Amazing food, hummus was beyond smooth, soft and flavorful. Lamb was cooked perfectly, maybe a bit under seasoned- service was a bit off, got charged for an extra bowl of hummus we didn’t order but didn’t complain bc it was that good. Also have hookah at outdoor tables if that’s your thing… would go back to this solid 4.0 spot!
Pleasant experience and a good shawarma. For some reason, most of the shawarma places on Edgware Road have very abrupt staff. They don’t explain the menu or advise on good dishes. It’s like they expect you to know what’s good. It’s the same story here.
Great for the basic grills and the decor was good as well.
The shawarma sandwiches are pretty good value, particularly located near Marble Arch.
The restaurant has a nice vibe and the food is very tasty. The smoked aubergine dish was a nice surprise. The main dishes are on the pricier side but maybe I’ll try next time.
No alcohol on the menu if you’re a drinker.
Absolutely Incredible Lebanese Food, the best I've ever had. It is also such good value too, everything was amazing! I've been here 3 times and it's never let me down
The best Lebanese restaurant in London. Its like eating home made fresh food. The daily dishes, the Shawarma, the mixed grill, the Hommus..its all perfect! You will never regret your visit!
Al balad is our go to Lebanese restaurant. Their Lebanese food is the best in Edgeware road. The outdoor seating is my fav. And the service provided by Mohammed is amazing 👍👍👍 making every experience at al balad special for us 👍
The food here is absolutely amazing. I am coming back. The only thing that might make me think twice is the fact that you have to queue to get in soemtines. A large spacious seating area thay gets very noisy whe crowded and full. The staff is always busy and have that vibe of not being ready to serve you, but they do it anyways. I liked the food and be back just for the experience again.
It’s worth to eat and enjoy the quality of food. I and my friends visited this restaurant and really it was excellent experience. The food 🥘 is very delicious and tasty. I recommend highly to visit it and you will sure back again. The staff are very helpful & friendly. Especial thanks to Abu Osama who is always keep smiling with customers. Best regards
My favourite Lebanese restaurant. I got the lunch platter which is a huge amount of food for £19. It's all delicious and authentic!
