There are just so many breakfast & brunch spots in London and it’s so hard to keep up! Especially when many of these places attract such long queues on the weekends so I never bothered to put the effort to queue and put up with a crowded breakfast experience. The Good Egg was one of those on the list but never managed to visit due to the mass volume of people in the weekends. However, as we cancelled our long-weekend trip to Barcelona, I decided to take advantage of those day offs to check out the place.
Great place, great food. This is a Mediteranian/Levant breakfast cafe. At the time I was not really hungry but then I ordered more. I love this place.
An amazing brunch spot - ordered the shakshuka and Hanukkah brisket hash and both were delicious. Would definitely recommend this cafe to anyone looking for great food

Went to The Good Egg@Kingly Court a couple of days ago for brunch with some friends. It was a rather busy day and the restaurant was having some trouble, lacking halloumi, some cuttlery and coffee cups. A bit odd. The food is good, nice Middle Eastern flavours, something I had never tried as brunch before. I shared a Shashuka and a Jerusalem platter (has small portions of many different things, great to taste it all). The staff are very friendly and really tried to counter all the problems to give us as normal as possible of a service. While I did enjoy it, I think the prices are a bit inflated, something often seen in brunches. For the price range, the meal missed something more special, and the issues they were having cannot really be accepted.
A good egg or a bad egg? We had both sides of the egg on our visit to Jerusalem-styled neighbourhood eatery The Good Egg. It’s a venue with a lot of fanfare, afternoon queues and mentions across much of the hip city press. In fact, someone from home sent me an article that had The Good Egg listed as one of the world’s best brunches. Yeah, it’s not. But it is very good (if you order right).

Small and cosy. Everything is a special, even the butter .
Go for the sourdough and the corn bread for a start, then any main dish looked delicious. We went fir the last two on the menu !
The service is pretty nice, helpfull and quick. I am going back, for sure!
The Good Egg in Stoke Newington is the culmination of an adventure that saw two friends popping up at street markets around London serving up shakshuka and stuffed pitas.
This place had a solid breakfast menu. I tried some of the aubergine pitas with egg and the delicious smoked avocado with egg (peep photo). Service was fantastic and filtered coffee was perfect! 4/5 because the wait was about 45 mins to get seated!

The place is called The Good Egg and it felt wrong not to be having a dish with egg in it somewhere. Stephen had them baked with chorizo and I had them fried on a brisket hash.
Perfect for breakfast ! Get there early to avoid the queues .. I really hate lining up for breakfast but it was worth it !!!!! The Turkish eggs in the pitta were 👌🏾
I’ve been coming here for years as it’s a good place for brunch. I usually order the shakshuka but decided to try the boureka plate this time. Bad choice - it was very small and nothing special. I can recommend the cornbread, bloody mary, the pitas and the bagels and the shakshuka of course. The babka is really good too. It gets very busy on the weekends so come before 11am if you want to avoid the long queues.
We were lucky to arrive and get a table outside right away.
Staff was friendly and helpful.
Food was perfectly cooked - we had lamb, one of the bagels and a kid plate, all of them were very fulfilling and tasteful.
Not familiar with this cuisine, was hard to pick. Food was surprisingly filling for what it is! Coffee is proper, so I am coming back here again.
Lovely aesthetic, food is simply delightful. The salt beef bagel is morish , proper meal that. Nice staff very polite, service with a smile. Would come earlier then intended as place gets really busy.
Finally a sabich that is not made by me meaning, yes, yummy! Took my best friend out on a brunch date. She got the salted beef bagel which was fantastic. Not the same kind of bagel you get from Bricklane or anywhere else. This one's something else! I got the sabich which lived up to its expectations. It transported me back to TLV. And got the French toast to share which was the only thing that we did not like, sadly. If looking for a quiet spot in Stokey, this isn't the place as it gets super busy like prams and all.
Went here for a late lunch on a Saturday - there was no queue and it was easy to get a seat. The food is excellent - clearly all fresh and homemade and the menu was very unique and carefully put together. The flavours were very good - not too salty or too oily. Prices are very reasonable given how high quality the food was. The coffee was great too. I'd highly recommend a visit. The service was perfect - polite and attentive staff.
Visited solo on a Friday night as it opened at 6pm and sat at the counter as I expected the tables to all be taken as when I tried to book online it was fully booked for the evening. I'm glad that I called instead. I had three dishes and all were delicious, generous portions, well presented. The wine list is limited to two reds, two whites, one orange and a fizz. The Italian white was good, however the Italian orange was outstanding. Service was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable and not shy to ask the chefs if they didn't know exactly what the ingredients are. Take some friends and share the entire menu. I will be back. Thanks guys.

The only thing is, it would have been nice if the food was halal (although I think it's Jewish, so I can totally understand why it wouldn't be), the pita with shakshuka was really good, i typically prefer a sourdough to soak up the sauce, but the pitta with zaatar worked well.
They have high chairs, though it took a while to arrive.
What would help is pictures of food on the social pages/ tagged on Google maps to help understand the menu

The food is so yummy. 10/10 would recommend the sabih. Only thing is service was super slow, it was Saturday lunch so understandably very busy, but still.
